Chapter 18's

Now you know my story. The miracle ended without any sign. I imagined a lot of scenarios if we made different decisions back then. But that doesn't change anything.

That same day I decided to return to Jakarta and I received news of the accident. Imel said that they are in a coma and we can only wait for the progress of their condition. At least they're still breathing, that's all I think about and I feel grateful.

A week later, Brother Andre woke up but he forgot about our experience on the island. Do you think that man will forget it too? But honestly I don't care. As long as he comes back to me, I don't mind if he forgets the times we both had.

I tried to tell Brother Andre the experience on the island but my voice could not come out every time I was in front of him and would start my story. Maybe it's the pay. I'm the only one who remembers all that and can't tell anyone.

In the end, I can only say that I no longer love her. Saying that I'm in love with another man. And fortunately he accepted it all with a chest. He wishes me all the best and remains a precious friend.

And now, I'm still sitting here and I'm still crying. I have so much regret. My hopes are so much too.

But I can only hold on to one thing. Even if you sacrifice yourself so that I don't lose my true friend, I won't get tired of waiting. Whatever happens in the future, I will not be tired of waiting. How long you close your eyes, I will not be tired of waiting. No matter you remember our memories on the island or not, I won't be tired of waiting. Even though you are not my true love, I will not get tired of waiting for you.

I'll wait until you open your eyes. I will wait until you return to my side again. Because you promised to return to my side. And I'm not giving up.

I remember everything and I choose you.

You may not remember it. I may not be able to tell you about the experience on the island when you woke up because even when you were asleep, I could not name the man in front of you. Maybe forever you won't know what happened between us and how I fell in love with you. Maybe I'll never be able to tell you when I'm in love with you.

But I don't mind. Let me keep that beautiful memory to the best of my ability.

So, if you hear me now, please open your eyes. Even if you can't hear me right now, please open your eyes and give me one more chance to fall in love with you.

If you are that man, please come back to me. I won't ask you to promise anything again. I just need you to keep that one promise.

The promise you made that night.
