The servants who were each busy cleaning the empress' residence and preparing food in the kitchen were suddenly shocked when they heard the sound of water from the fish pond that was behind the library. They all immediately went towards the fish pond with panicked faces, what more when they heard the cry of Kilin.
Inside the fish pond was Wei who had just stood with a pear in her right hand. Her dress was wet and her forehead was bleeding from being hit by the rocks at the bottom of the fish pond.
Realizing everyone was looking at her in panic and worry, Wei developed a smile on her sweet lips. "I'm fine."
Where he might be okay. At this moment he felt his entire body really hurt. His forehead and left hand felt very sore because they collided with a stone. All because of his fault for taking the pear.
"What do you see, quickly call the healer now!" shouted Kilin who had just arrived near the pond and directly helped Wei to board.
The servants regained their senses, then some of them ran out to call the healer, the rest helped Wei to his feet.
"Please forgive me, empress-to-be. Due to the negligence of the servant, the future empress became injured." said Kilin guiltily. He grimaced as he saw blood gushing out from Wei's forehead.
Seeing Kilin's face, Wei became laughing. He did feel an incredible pain but Kilin represented himself.
"Just calm down, lady, this wound doesn't hurt at all. I don't want you to blame yourself because this is purely my fault." Wei said after she was satisfied laughing at Kilin.
"But still.. empress candidate!" Kilin was shocked because Wei suddenly fainted. The pear just slipped out of his hand. What made everyone panic was Wei's face was extremely pale. They were afraid that Wei would be seriously injured after falling into the fish pond.
Kilin raised Wei's head and placed it on her thigh. "Hurry and bring the empress to the house! Hurry along!" kilin shouted frantically.
They all brought Wei into the house. They also replaced Wei's wet dress earlier with a plain white nightgown. The atmosphere in the empress' current residence was completely chaotic as Wei who had not been there for a day had already fainted.
They were all afraid that something like the previous empress would happen again. The empress who always died before even doing anything for the land.
Before long the women dressed in all white came to the empress' residence. In their hands each carried a tray filled with medicines. They all immediately entered the house and checked on Wei who was lying weakly on his bedroom bed.
The wounds on Wei's forehead and left hand were already on bandages. On his left hand it was slightly torn so that it was sewn by the healer.
"In a moment you will get a big problem because you do not take care of the prospective empress well. You remember, right with the servants of the previous empress?" said the healer who was currently thrusting the treatment needle into Wei's left wrist.
Kilin nodded his head in understanding. "It's okay, I'll take it all. The empress candidate up to this is also purely because of my mistake, I deserve a heavy punishment." he said, which made the healer exhale violently.
"The emperor has arrived, pay respect to the emperor!"
Everyone in the room was startled, then they immediately kowtowed as the resolute dashing figure set foot into the room.
"We salute the emperor!"
Emperor Fengying did not care about all those who bowed down to pay respect to him. He focused on looking at Wei who was lying on the bed with bandages on his head and left hand. His feet began to step closer to Wei.
"How dare you! I told you to take good care of her but why is she hurt like this now?!" yelled Fengying with rage.
"Take out the head servant, emperor! The servant committed a great sin for not being able to look after the future empress well!" kilin's entire body trembled violently, she was currently extremely frightened.
"Guards, take this incompetent lady out of the empress' residence and cut off her head immediately!" fengying's orders did not want to be denied which were directly carried out by his guards.
Kilin did not rebel at all as if all was his fault. He smiled sincerely as he looked at Wei who was lying on the bed. 'How unlucky, the empress' inner candidate.
"Hamba saluted one last time, emperor. Please forgive me, " said Kilin before the guards dragged him out of the empress' residence.
No one dared to raise their heads, the bodies of all the servants trembled in fear. They imagine if one day something like this happens again until they will be cut off. Really they were so scared when Emperor Fengying was angry like this. They were determined to work well so as not to make mistakes like Kilin. Today's events will never be forgotten until they die.
Fengying looked back at Wei who was still closing her eyes tightly. "How is he doing?" fengying asked without taking her eyes off Wei.
The physician who had been treating Wei was shocked. "The empress candidate is exhausted, emperor."
"Tired? What's he doing today?"
"Please answer, emperor. Since this morning the empress candidate has been in the library to study, probably because it was exhausted." said a servant who prostrated the front among others.
"Truly useless! Why did you let him study to the point of exhaustion?! I asked the stupid lady to teach her to read and write, not force her!" again, Fengying could not hold back her patience anymore.
As Fengying was about to approach the maid at the empress' residence, Xian, Fengying's personal bodyguard immediately restrained her. Xian shook his head which upset Fengying half to death.
"You must not leave the empress' residence until the future empress regains consciousness and returns to health. You also must not eat or drink before the future empress is aware. If I hear you disobeying my orders, I'll chop off your heads one by one!"
After saying the order that scared the servant and healer, Fengying and her bodyguards immediately left the empress' residence. They headed for the central hall, where the emperor and ministers were gathered to discuss the matter that plagued Taoming State.
"Give respect to the emperor!" exclaimed the eunuch as Fengying entered the middle hall.
"We salute the emperor!"
The ten rows of ten men dressed in dark blue robes bowed to pay their respects to Fengying who was now sitting on his throne.
His stern face with sharp eyes was shining down on all the ministers who were bowing before him. When all the ministers had re-enforced, Fengying immediately threw a book on the floor.
His eyes were as sharp as a sword that was ready to slash through someone's body. "Is this what you call loyalty?!"
