Chapter 4: Never Feeling Luxury

When Emperor Fengying had left the empress' residence, Wei was led into the house by his servants. In the empress' residence there were about 25 servants with ages from 17 to 25 years. Wei knew that because the lady-in-waiting at the empress's residence told her.

Now Wei is on the edge of the bath with many flower petals studded on the water. His clothes were taken off by two maids to Wei's surprise. "Why did you take off my clothes?!" wei asked half-shouting. He tried to cover his body that only wears underwear.

The two maids quivered in fear and immediately prostrated themselves on the floor. "Please forgive us, forgive us..."

Wei did not reply, so he was not feeling well when the servants prostrated themselves on the floor while begging him for forgiveness. He also reflexively half-screamed as the incident had happened all of a sudden. Her mother never took off her clothes, she really did not like it when strangers took off or undressed. Wei no longer replied, she now helped the two maids to stand up. "All of you stand up, don't be like this."

Everyone stood up, but kept their heads down. Kilin walked up to Wei, leading her to enter the bathing pool.

Warm, the first thing Wei felt as he immersed his body into the pond. The smell of fragrances of various kinds of flowers filled his sense of smell. His eyes were closed, he was enjoying it.

"Can you leave me alone?" Wei opened both of her eyes, looking at Kilin and the servants behind her.

Kilin nodded her head in understanding, then she ordered the servants to rush out of the bathhouse. "If the empress candidate is done, please tell us."

The door was closed tightly, now only Wei was alone in the spacious bathhouse. His sobs began to sound, both of his shoulders shaking violently. I don't know what made Wei cry like that.

"I've never felt such a luxury. I'm really being helped by God!" Wei sobbed violently as he recalled his low status now soaring high. He can even raise the degrees of both his parents. Now he no longer needed to feel heartache when he saw the battered bodies of Jiang and Yihan after returning home. Her parents will no longer be treated cruelly and that is all because she is destined to be empress.

While at the emperor's residence, there was Fengying with all four of his concubines sitting in the pavilion. Fengying looked relaxed while drinking the green tea whose smoke was still billowing from within the small glass. His eyes were closed as the scent of green tea gushed into his nose, truly a calming scent.

"This is unfair, emperor. Why didn't the emperor choose one of us to be empress? Why must it be that dirty girl?!" Zhuan was indeed very unaccepting as Fengying ordered them to pay their respects to the dirty girl earlier. To him it was disgusting and disgraceful.

"really so. Didn't the emperor previously choose one of the concubines to become empress? Why now make a dirty girl as empress?!" turn Annchi sharply.

Among the four of them, Quolin looked much calmer. Hearing the anger of the three concubines, he just kept quiet and chose to enjoy the snacks presented on the table. After all who could oppose Fengying? Until their mouths froze, Fengying would not retract her words.

Fengying put the glass on the table, then looked at the four concubines. "I don't want to hear any complaints from you. Go back to your residence now, I'm tired." Fengying said as she stood up.

"At least the emperor should give us an explanation!" Baoyi was completely out of patience. He held Fengying's hand that walked past him.

"Why did the emperor make that dirty girl empress?!"

"Stop calling her a dirty girl! Compared to you guys, he's much cleaner."

Quolin who had been calm began to chuckle a little. He looked at Fengying deeply, implied a hint of anger in his eyes."Has the Emperor of the Taoming Kingdom lost his mind? I'm sorry if I'm presumptuous, but if the emperor compared us to the girl earlier, it seriously hurt our pride. Indeed our status is only a concubine, it will never get the attention of the emperor. The emperor was silent, he still wanted to listen to the complaints of his four concubines. Letting them blame him was something Fengying could not prevent. Divination became the reason she had to make Wei empress.

Annchi immediately stood up, walking closer towards Fengying. "Think again before it's too late. It is better to choose an educated noble-blooded daughter than a foolish lowly girl."

"Have you?" said Fengying while releasing her hand from Baoyi's hand. "Let me be clear so that the four of you understand" he continued.

Zhuan, Quolin, Baoyi, and Annchi cleared their throat, they finally chose silence and no longer let out their hearts. Their eyes stared at Fengying, waiting for the man to explain it to them.

"The girl was destined to be the queen of this country. While the four of you are only destined as concubines. When it comes to destiny, now I ask, whose degree is higher? You are indeed the bloody princess of an educated noble, but you are not destined to become empresses. That girl was a precious diamond I found in the mud. He will I protect, the four of you better not look for trouble with him or I will directly drag you into the cold prison!" the glare of the sharp eyes like a sword was as if it was slicing the hearts of the four concubines.

The scathing sentence full of painful stabbing managed to make Zhuan, Quolin, Baoyi, and Annchi silent. They were unable to raise their heads arrogantly anymore after hearing the word after word that came out of Fengying's mouth. Their faces seemed to thicken from deep embarrassment. Where would they put their face before the emperor?
