Poor Girl Becomes Empress

Poor Girl Becomes Empress
Chapter 33: Being Late to Know

It had been two days since Wei had followed Fengying. During the meeting, the meeting with the outer ministers, even he continued to force Fengying to room with him. Fengying tried to hold back her emotions desperately but strangely she was also happy when Wei was always nearby, for what reason.

It was already afternoon and Wei was currently in the training area. He was a little bored as he watched Fengying train with Xian since noon earlier. He had not even had lunch just like the two people who were playing swords in the field.

"I saluted the empress" Zhuan said from behind, to Wei's surprise.

"Ah, sorry for making the empress surprised."

"It's okay. Why are you here first concubine?" tanya Wei directly stabbed. He knew Zhuan's purpose to the training area by carrying a tray filled with drinking water.

Zhuan looked at Fengying. "I am also the wife of the emperor, the empress. Can't I see the emperor?"

Truly, Wei was deeply distrustful of what Zhuan had said. This woman in front of him despite being beautiful but she was not too good at lying. It was clear he was clasping his hands tightly a sign that he was afraid of being discovered. Wei's brain twisted, it seemed like dismantling everything at the moment wasn't too bad. What else did he hear that time if tonight Ruan would have done a rebellion.

"Of course you can, first concubine. What are you carrying?" Wei glanced at the tray in Zhuan's servant's hand.

"This is the rose tea I made myself, empress. This tea is special only for emperors."

"Ah, what a pity. Though I really wanted to try it." said Wei who made Zhuan round his eyes.

Soon, Fengying and Xian approached Wei and Zhuan.

"I salute the emperor." Zhuan lowered his head to Fengying.

"What's the first concubine? Why did you come all the way to the training area?" fengying asked as he put the sword back to where it was followed by Xian.

"I made a special rose tea just for the emperor." Zhuan's servant gave the tea to Fengying.

Wei looked at Fengying. "I really want that tea, can I try it first, emperor?"

"Can't!" all eyes were now on Zhuan who had just shouted.

"Ah, I'm sorry. Empress, please respect me who has prepared the tea specifically for the emperor" he said with a slight stammer.

"Emperor.." spoiled Wei yanh made Zhuan a little angry.

Fengying was indeed confused by Wei's attitude from two days ago. The woman acting so sweet and spoiled towards him made Fengying's heart that originally wanted to hate Wei melt.

"Alright, drink first the queen." Fengying gave the cup to Wei.

Zhuan shook his head. But a second later he said in his heart. The tea had indeed given him a deadly poison, according to his father's orders two days ago. Hating Wei who was too close to Fengying, she became happy that Wei wanted to drink the poisonous tea.

"Why? Are you afraid of being discovered?" wei asked which made Zhuan look at her directly.

"I don't understand, queen."

"Emperor, in this drink there is poison. The first concubine wanted to eliminate the emperor so that her father could easily conduct a rebellion to take over the throne!"

"That's not true, emperor. I just want to do good to the emperor, but why is the empress' attitude like this?"

Fengying was getting confused. "Why do you accuse the first concubine like that, empress? Do you have any evidence?"

"You dare to accuse the first concubine! Is this your attitude as empress, huh?!"

"I'm not accusing him, emperor! I heard the rebelling coming out of the mouth of the political minister, the father of the first concubine. Please believe me this time, emperor!"

Fengying wanted to slap Wei back then but her hands felt heavy. He took his eyes off Wei and prepared to leave the training area. But Wei held her hand, the woman now took another cup.

"If the poison does not react on the plant, it means that the poison only reacts on the human body. I will give the emperor real proof!"

Zhuan would take the cup, but Wei first sipped the tea until it was gone.

"Empress!" zhuan shouted as Wei released the cup in his hand.

"I won't let you hurt the emperor, first concubine. Do you think I'll just shut up after knowing everything. You and your entire family will be devastated after this!" threaten Wei that made Zhuan scared.

Fengying glared at Wei. "What do you want to prove? Look, you're even fine. I will punish you for accusing the first concubine. From today you won't be able to get out of your residence!" after saying that Fengying immediately stepped her foot.

Wei remained silent as he watched Fengying, which became increasingly unclear from his sight. He staggered to the point of crashing into the storage of the sword and knocking it down. That rowdy voice invited Fengying's attention.

The man turned back and found Wei slumped on the floor. He also saw Zhuan running out of the training area.

"Empress!" Fengying walked up to Wei and carried the woman up her thigh. Fresh blood flowed out from his mouth and his entire face was deathly pale.

Fengying panicked and immediately carried Wei to be taken to the empress' residence.

"Tonight there will be a rebellion, emperor... L'm.. I'm sure the emperor can handle it..."

"Stop talking, Wei!"

"I'm sorry, emperor for having to tell the emperor this way.."

"I have prepared an army from the land of Goching. They must be heading for the palace by now..."

Fengying did not say anymore. He laid Wei on his bed followed by the healers who entered Wei's room.

"Go away." the last word Wei said before he lost consciousness.

Fengying rubbed her face violently as the healers began to treat Wei. This time he was very afraid of losing Wei, very scared. He wanted Wei to be okay. He even blames himself for not believing her words, leading her to risk her life to make him believe her.

The day turned dark and Fengying was still standing there. He wanted to make sure Wei's condition was fine in order to calm things down a bit.

"Emperor, we can't save one of the fetuses in the consort's womb because the fetus absorbs almost all of the poison in the empress' body." explained the healer who made Fengying's heart melt.

"Fetus?"

"The Empress is pregnant, emperor. There are two fetuses in the consort's womb, but only one can be saved, the emperor."

So stupid. She did not even know that Wei was pregnant with her children. She found out too late and had to lose one of her children. It felt really unfair, but it was a punishment for all his cruel treatment of Wei.
