Poor Girl Becomes Empress

Poor Girl Becomes Empress
Chapter 21: Not Good

Fengying pushed Wei's body hard until her body hit the side of the bed, then slumped down onto the floor. The man really had no conscience when torturing the girl.

Wei felt excruciating pain in his neck, head, and back. It was very desirable for him to run away from Fengying, but it was useless because the man would definitely chase after him.

As Wei was about to stand up, Fengying threw the sword before Wei. "Show me your other skills!" his orders did not want to be denied.

Wei only shook his head which made Fengying even more furious. He then walked towards Wei and picked up the sword.

Wei held his breath as Fengying pointed the sword at his neck, just as his enemy had done earlier. The sharp glint left Wei in a deep grove of fear. He also did not understand why Fengying hated him so much that he did not hesitate to torture him. Wei acknowledged her low status, but should she be treated cruelly by her own husband?

"Please forgive me for making a mistake, emperor. I can't play the sword, I can't at all." Wei said with trembling lips. A little more the sword would slit his neck, how could he not be frightened?

Fengying laughed loudly as she kept the sword away from Wei's neck. "Basin a lowly girl liar!" sharp hatch.

Wei just kept quiet and now started to lower his head. "Did the emperor hate me?" his murmurs were still heard in Fengying's ears.

As unsatisfied with the torture, Fengying now gripped Wei's chin firmly. The long, sharp nails pierced into Wei's skin, causing the girl to grimace in pain.

"Do you think I like you, lowly girl? So stupid! I even hate you so much for being destined to be the queen of this land. Didn't you hear the talk of the people of Taoming?"

Fengying brought her face closer to Wei's ear and began to whisper. "They're humiliating me for marrying a lowly girl like you! And you heartily protested me for killing your old lady and servant!"

Wei looked at the face of Fengying who had just finished whispering in her ear. The face clearly hated him. His heart sliced every time the man threw a sharp glare at him.

"Please forgive me, emperor..." Wei prostrated himself before Fengying. He endured all the pain in his body in order to apologize to the man. He would rather be treated warmly by Fengying, than be treated like this.

"I am indeed a foolish lowly girl so protested against the emperor. Please forgive me.." the reiterate makes Fengying smile cynically.

There was still no reply from Fengying. He watched Wei who was prostrating before him. There was a hint of pity in his heart when treating Wei like that. But she already hated Wei when she said she didn't want to be empress. To him, Wei had broken his own curse that he had made before an emperor. Fengying hated people who broke the curse so much that she could not be warm to Wei anymore. As much as possible he would try to make Wei suffer until the girl thought dying was better than having to stay by his side. That instant Fengying to the person who had violated their curse.

"You're not just protesting, lowly girl! But you also broke the curse you said in front of me!" Wei was shocked when she heard Fengying's scream.

The girl ventured to look Fengying in the eyes. Still, the man still stared at him sharply.

"What I did to you was a result of you breaking your own curse. You will suffer all your life until you think dying is better than staying by my side!" after saying that, Fengying threw Wei's body down strongly.

Fengying took her sword while standing up. He was about to walk out, but Wei's words stopped his steps.

"I never broke my curse. All this time I've been trying to carry out my curse regardless of how the emperor treats me. I will not retreat again, until the rest of my last breath I will remain by the emperor's side even if the emperor never wants me." Wei looked at Fengying sincerely. Yes, he really meant it.

"From today on I will make more efforts to keep the attitude of the emperor warm as when we first met. This lowly girl is indeed inappropriate, but I will fight for everything." she continued with a soft speech that left Fengying slightly stunned.

Fengying arrogantly and ruthlessly threw a candle holder made of chrysanthemum-shaped iron onto Wei's forehead. Without even dodging, the candle holder hit Wei's forehead, causing him to get injured.

Wei smiled faintly as she wiped the blood flowing down her forehead. This was only the beginning of his struggle to get warmth from Fengying. In his heart he always said it was okay. The pain in his body was not comparable to the pain in his heart as he looked into Fengying's eyes which were staring at him sharply and hatefully.

"Hearing you talk like that makes my hatred even bigger. I'll never believe all that shit coming out of your rotten mouth! You think I'll be pityed and warm to you? No, I wouldn't be like that to you! In my eyes you are just a lowly girl who spoils my image in the eyes of the people!" sharp hatch Fengying.

Tears flowed increasingly profusely from Wei's eyes. His heart was very sick and painful. Like injured but given a squeeze of lime and salt. He was already unable to hold back his sobs that were as strong as death he could endure. Everything that came out of Fengying's mouth deeply wounded her heart.

"Don't show me the tears of deceit in front of me! I will never pull my words!" forcefully Fengying while stepping foot out of Wei's room. But again Wei's words stopped her steps.

"No matter how bad the emperor's thoughts are about me, I will keep trying." - shrieked Wei who did not make Fengying's heart melt at all.

Fengying left the empress' residence with a fiery red face holding back anger. He wanted to torture Wei even more severely but did not want the girl to die. Finally, soaking in the bathing pool became a solution to relieve his anger.

After Fengying died, Ruyin and Tzuran went into the room. They were surprised to find Wei's condition was not okay. They hurriedly ran towards Wei and helped the girl to stand up.

Seeing Ruyin and Tzuran who were so worried about him made Wei's heart calm again. Then he smiled as he clasped Ruyin and Tzuran's hands.

"I'm fine." said Wei before his gaze darkened and his body collapsed on the floor.

Ruyin and Tzuran panicked as Wei suddenly fainted. He lied when he said he was okay. How can he be good when circumstances force him to get hurt?
