“Kirana's body temperature starts to drop,” said Alexa after checking it with a thermometer. Then put the thermometer on the table.
I was chin-backed looking at Kirana who was sleeping soundly. Her cheeks were flushed with fever, Kirana's breathing rang out quickly and a compressive device stuck to her forehead.
“Despite that, keep track of Kirana's body temperature every few hours,” Alexa said.
“I want to go home. It's late at night. If anything happens to Kirana, just shout loudly. Must have sounded from my room.”
Alexa had gone home to clean up and change clothes. Then go back to see Kirana's condition. He was wearing a nightgown that exposed his arm.
And my eyes were glued to the scar on Alexa's elbow.
I grabbed Alexa's arm and twisted it slowly. Alexa looked confused by the look in my eyes that looked at the wound.
Then I took off Alexa's arm.
“Is it still sore?” my many.
“Not anymore,” replied Alexa.
“Thank you.”
“Thank you for what?”
I didn't answer. I threw my face away, turning my eyes to Kirana.
We're mute to each other.
But soon Alexa said, “if you want to say thank you must be sincere from the heart.”
“Not to lecture me!” I said ketus.
“I won't accept your thanks, before you actually show it with action.”
“You mean?” I looked quickly at Alexa.
“Tract me to eat,” Alexa replied as soon as I asked. “New after that I will receive your thanks.”
“Terlarah. I have nothing to lose if you don't want to accept it.”
Alexa patting my shoulder, “Call me if there's anything!”
Then, Alexa stepped away, closing the front door and the house went quiet again.
I purposely pushed the crib closer to my bed. Then I lay down. Trying to sleep, but can't.
I spent two hours just rolling over on the bed.
I forced myself to close my eyes. But I saw the shadow of Alexa. Suddenly I opened my eyes again.
Breathe in to try to calm down. But Alexa's shadow can't go out of my mind. I want Alexa to stay here.
Cih, what am I doing?
“Come, sleep, Balin. Sleep on! Don't think about what he keeps!” I muttered to myself while banging my head against the wall.
The clock is almost midnight, and my eyes are not sleepy yet. Then I remembered Alexa's message to check Kirana's body temperature.
The heat goes up again. Kirana is not restless in her sleep.
I sighed listlessly. I feel like I failed in my mandate from Karina. I stick my palm on Kirana's forehead.
A moment later, Kirana woke up. Mouth fiddling. Maybe he's thirsty.
I gave Kirana a drink and she drank with a quick sip. Then carry her because she seems to want to get out of bed.
I put my cheek on Kirana's head. I wish the pain could be channeled to me.
“If Papa can choose, let Papa be sick. Kirana don't.”
Just then, I felt Kirana's body tremble violently. I looked down and saw Kirana convulsing.
My face instantly turned pale, my heart was pumping blood faster than usual and in an instant my body was also shaking from extreme panic.
“ALEXA... ALEX... ALEXA.”
I screamed as loud as possible. No matter what, it bothers the other neighbors.
“ALEXA, KIRANA SEIZURES!”
Kirana had a seizure, she seemed to have trouble breathing. Body shivers. And I who was in a tremendous panic could do nothing.
I heard footsteps coming into the house, I knew the footsteps must be Alexa.
Alexa went straight to my room and she screamed as panicked as I did. His eyes widened and his mouth closed.
“Alexa, please! Kirana convulsed I don't know what to do,” I said in a heartwarming tone.
Alexa's facial features quickly turned calm. He held Kirana and placed her on my bed. Then tilt Kirana's body to the right.
“Balin, quickly remove HP! Turn on stopwatch! “
“For what?” myrag.
“Do it!” alexa doesn't want to lose.
I followed Alexa's request even though it sounded weird. Meanwhile, Alexa herself pulled out her phone to call the pediatrician.
However, until Alexa tried to call three times, no one picked up the phone at all. He hung up the phone while grumbling.
At midnight it was difficult to contact a doctor.
“Hey, listen! Why are you positioning Kirana's body like that?”
“Balin..”
“Why should I turn on the stopwatch? Kirana is having a seizure.”
“I know..”.
“This is not the time to mess around,” I said half-screaming so panicked.
“Balin, please calm down!”
Kirana slowly stopped the spasms. He took a very deep breath. Then my little Kirana looked limp. Alexa looks at the time on the stopwatch.
Alexa breathed a sigh of relief because Kirana had a seizure of no more than five minutes.
I was amazed, but before I asked, Alexa explained without me asking.
Alexa said, if the child has a febrile seizure for more than five minutes, it means it must be taken to the hospital or medical personnel.
But I don't care, want Kirana to have a seizure for three seconds I'll take Kirana to the doctor.

In the doctor's office in a 24-hour clinic. Early morning.
Alexa and I decided to take Kirana to the clinic closest to home.
My eyes could not escape Kirana who was lying on the bed. The young-looking male doctor finished examining Kirana, then removed the stethoscope and attached it to the neck.
“How is Kirana's condition, Doc?” I'm just impatient.
“Mr, Mother, let's sit down first. There are some questions I want to ask.”
The doctor pointed to two chairs facing the doctor's desk. Me and Alexa sat with a sense of uneasiness. But the doctor looked calm.
“Before I salute with Father and Mother who have done first aid appropriately in children who have febrile seizures such as Kirana,” The doctor began to talk with a smile.
The doctor's eyes glanced at me and Alexa alternately, “if you may know who did first aid earlier?”
I pointed at Alexa.
“Ya, great, Mom,” highly praise Doctor. “First aid child febrile seizures are tilted to the right because it will be very good to maintain oxygen circulation.”
The doctor went on to explain why it is important to tilt the child's body to the right when febrile seizures are not very I listen to. What I want to know is Kirana's condition.
Couldn't the Doctor, go straight to the core of Kirana's problem?
“So, I want to ask, has anyone in the family ever had a febrile seizure? Or anyone have a history of epilepsy?”
Alexa elbowing.
I wave. I can't answer. Kirana is not my flesh and blood and I don't know if Karina or her family has ever had a febrile seizure. Or epilepsy. Or maybe from the Harsa family?
I shook my head in an ignorant answer, but the Doctor seemed to catch the ‘no' answer'.
“Because usually febrile seizures are caused due to a factor to heredity. But, there are also other factors.”
The doctor again explained at length about the cause of febrile seizures can occur in children.
“At the time Kirana had a seizure, did Mother Father have time to check Kirana's body temperature?”
This time Alexa and I shook their heads. And the next few questions, I answered with a short answer.
The doctor concluded that Kirana was fine, and suggested that Kirana remain under the supervision of a doctor for the next few hours, due to fears of further seizures.
“So, Kirana's okay, Doc?” I ask again to make sure.
The doctor smiled, “fever seizures will not cause long-term effects, sir. Just relax.”
I was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief after hearing the doctor's explanation.
In the morning, the sun was falling.
Kirana is allowed to go home. She seemed cheerful to be in Alexa's arms as I drove the car on my way home. He doesn't look like a fever-sick new baby.
Kirana's body temperature had returned to normal in just a few hours, and she was cheerful as ever. Even though I as his father had panicked it amazingly.
Rama was waiting for us outside the house. He was wearing pants and shoes that were dirty by the dry mud. The mountain bag was not far from his feet.
“You guys from anywhere anyway?” rama asked with a waist.
“Kirana hurts. Last night we took her to the clinic,” Alexa replied.
“What? Kirana sick?”
“Iya. But now it's healed. Your sister also yesterday fell ill.”
“Oh so, then who took care of Kak Balin and Kirana when sick?”
No one answered.
Then Rama laughed. “Don't tell Kak Alexa who took care of Kak Balin.”
