Chapter 40: Provocation

Larissa's father is now being investigated about the truth of the drug case. He took refuge under the name of a company belonging to the Wijaya family. Surely Mr. Wijaya did not even know that his subordinate Herman who is Larissa's father used the company name for his dirty deeds. Even though Mr. Wijaya already considers Herman like his best friend.

"Call Herman to the headquarters now, have him meet me in my room" said Mr. Wijaya quite angrily.

This message is immediately sent to the branch office, especially for the branch head. Hearing the order, Larissa's father immediately went to the headquarters to meet Mr. Wijaya.

"What really happened at the Herman branch?" ask Mr. Wijaya still asking for an explanation.

"Listen, our company is being accused of distributing drugs to some of our VIP customers, sir, but it seems to be the work of the Wesly family. Just last night we found out that Wesly's son Thomas Edward Wesly was posing as a branch employee. He used William's name and disguised himself to ruin our company's good name" Herman began to write the story.

"Aren't you lying?" ask Mr. Wijaya again.

"Of course not Sir" replied Herman.

"Herman I've looked at you like a close friend of mine considering that our son was together in college" said Mr. Wijaya began discussing personal matters.

"Yes I know sir, I did too" replied Herman.

"Can our son not be united again, sir?" herman didn't know himself.

"Larissa has returned to Indonesia" he continued.

"I can not manage the problem of romance, it is the choice of our children" said Mr. Wijaya.

"Lately I've heard that Young Master Bryan is close to the daughter of Mr Wilson's family" Herman said.

"I know, he has introduced him to us" said Mr. Wijaya.

"What's? that is impossible" said Mr. Wijaya.

"True Mr, the daughter of the Wilson family who is currently close to Young Master Bryan was once betrothed to the eldest son of the Andreans family, but it seems that princess Wilson did not want and refused" herman said excitedly.

"I will first check what you say, I can not arbitrarily make a decision, however it concerns the happiness of Bryan" continued Mr. Wijaya again.

"Alright my Master will also check back" replied Herman pretending to care.

A week passed when William, whose real name was Thomas, finally found strong evidence that Larissa's father, Herman, had scapegoated his surname. This is known when a waitress who worked as a house cleaner in the Thomas family was found to have stolen a stamp when cleaning the storage room of valuable files. It was known when the subordinates checked the entire cctv on all dates without missing a single bit.

"You're being honest with me about why you stole Wesly's family stamp" Thomas said.

"Sorry Young Master I was forced, someone came to me and was willing to give me a hundred million if I managed to give him the stamp of the Wesly family. He only wore it briefly for two stamps on two of the Master's letters" the servant explained.

Finally it was known that the entire subordinate was moving in search of the man mentioned. The man was hired to work for the Herman family, the head of the branch. Now the evidence is clear and Thomas finally orders to arrest Herman with the evidence already in place.

Herman was done at the office and was about to get home in his car. It turns out that in the car there was already someone in the back bench who was ready with an anesthetic on his handkerchief. Herman was surprised to not be able to help himself and fainted.

Thomas' subordinates quickly took Herman to the meeting headquarters to be questioned. Thomas is looking forward to solving the case as quickly as possible and is focused on approaching Seira.

"Bring him in" Thomas told his subordinates.

"Okay sir" replied his subordinates.
