Chapter 15: The Matchmaking

A car picks up Seira in front of her house. He promised to have dinner with his family tonight. At first Seira refuses, but Freddin's deadly persuasion makes Seira finally relented.

Freddin and Seira sat together in the car in a quiet atmosphere. Freddin's face made Seira a little worried. Usually Freddin has a secret if he puts on a face like that.

"What's wrong? just say it" said Seira.

"Nothing" Freddin replied lying.

"I won't be angry" Seira said.

"Is it true that you're dating Bryan from the Wijaya family?" ask Freddin.

"Where did you get that news? ask Seira again.

"From Papa, it looks like his assistant has been following you all this time" Freddin said honestly

"Haha, Papa really hasn't changed" Seira said.

"Are you seriously Bryan?" ask Freddin.

"No, it's just a lie" Seira replied.

"meaning?" asked Freddin did not understand.

"It was just a formality that benefited both of us" Seira explained.

Freddin only shook his head to hear an explanation from his brother. She doesn't think Seira has a fake boyfriend. Moreover, his girlfriend is the only son of the Wijaya family.

"It looks like Papa will arrange your matchmaking" Freddin said again.

"I don't want to, it's none of Papa's business" Seira replied.

"Papa definitely wants you to get married immediately considering your age is getting older" Freddin said again.

"You go first" replied Seira.

After some time they arrived at the restaurant that the Seira family ordered. When Seira was so surprised to see Bryan was sitting with his father.

"Bryan, what are you doing here?" ask Seira in shock.

"I was invited by Om Wilson" Bryan said.

"Papa invited him, you sit down first" Papa Seira said.

"Pa, I don't like Papa's way" Seira said angrily as she sat next to Freddin.

"You know this too?" seira asked Freddin because she felt betrayed.

"No, when I picked you up he wasn't there yet" Freddin replied honestly.

"Freddin doesn't know anything, Papa's orchestrating all this" Wilson said.

They ate first in a cold atmosphere. Seira's eyes looked like people who were holding back anger. His papa was just indifferent to seeing the terrible expression of his daughter.

After eating Papa Seira immediately discussed about their sudden matchmaking. Seira is upset that Bryan has finally found out his true identity.

"She's a princess of Om, her name is Sharon Diandra Wilson" Papa Seira said.

"Isn't his name Seira?" bryan pretended not to know.

"It's just his little name, his real name is Sharon" Papa Seira explained.

"What Papa means is to match us, Bryan also does not want to be paired" said Seira.

"Who says Bryan doesn't want to be, he wants to be paired with you" replied Papa Seira.

Seira was shocked to hear the words coming out of her father's mouth. Freddin was also surprised and looked towards Seira. They did not expect Bryan would agree to this matchmaking.

"You're crazy" Seira told Bryan.

"I love this matchmaking, it will benefit the Wijaya family as well as Wilson" Bryan said.

Bryan is actually starting to like Seira, but he is embarrassed to admit it. He makes business excuses a helper of his feelings that he covers up.

"I don't want to get married because of business" Seira said.

"We can approach first" Bryan replied intelligently.

"I don't want to" Seira insisted.

"I don't want Pa, absolutely not yes no" said Seira firmly.

"Well, give me two more months like our previous agreement to be a pretend boyfriend, we use those two months to get to know each other better" Bryan said.

"If you don't like me you can break up after two months" Bryan said.

Seira thought hard at Bryan's suggestion, it was even better than getting married. He knew that even if he refused, his father would still force him. Two months was enough for Seira to avoid this business marriage.

"Alright I agree, you must promise if I ask to cancel the marriage you must want to" Seira threatened.

"Okay, okay" Bryan replied.

"Bryan why do you agree" Papa Wilson said.

"It's okay Om, two months is enough for me to captivate Seira" whispered Bryan smiling.

"Om trusting you" Wilson replied in a whisper as well.

Seira is forced to ride in Bryan's car on the grounds of approach. Along the way Seira shakes her face and does not respond to the conversation Bryan started.

"You hate being betrothed to me?" ask Bryan.

"You finally know my true identity" said Seira.

"It's okay, even if you're not from the Wilson family, I still like it" Bryan said.

"Gombal" ledek Seira.

Bryan escorts Seira to Seira's house. The woman offers Bryan a pleasant stopover. Bryan agreed quickly regardless of Seira's irritated face.

"I'm just talking" said Seira.

"I don't care what's important I want to stop by first" Bryan said.

Without them knowing Larissa and Owen had been monitoring Seira's house when they had just arrived from dinner. Larissa is furious to see Bryan enter another woman's house. He can't wait to destroy Seira and separate her from Bryan.

"Do we need to steal that woman?" ask Larissa.

"That's quite dangerous, you just torture in the office tomorrow, give lessons" said Owen.

"In the office it will be difficult, there is a child named William who always defended him" Luissa lamented.

"Damn, why are so many defending him" replied Owen.

"Alright we'll find a way to threaten Seira" Owen said.

Laura is preparing for her second date with the handsome Doctor. She chose her best clothes and dressed as thinly as natural as possible. At the wrong time Freddin called Laura to accompany him to the Mall.

"Laura accompanied me to the Mall to buy gifts for Seira" Freddin said.

"Sister Sharon? when's she's birthday?" ask Laura.

"Next week" Freddin replied.

"Tomorrow, I'll be with you tomorrow" Laura said.

"Why not today?" ask Freddin.

"I'm going on a second date with that Doctor" Laura replied excitedly.

Freddin's heart ached to hear the words coming out of Laura's mouth with vigor. He has not been aware of his feelings and only warding off with reasons only limited to sister. She tries to persuade Laura not to go on a blind date again.

"You don't have to go, he doesn't look like a good man" Freddin said.

"No, you're wrong, she's very kind" Laura said in defense of the Doctor.

"That's my judgment as a fellow man, you have to listen to me" Freddin replied.

"No way, he's even soft-hearted, really a man of dreams" Laura said.

Freddin's ears grew hotter hearing Laura praise another man. Laura used to praise herself and follow her around. Laura loved it so much that she couldn't tell the difference between her feelings of like and unfortunately.

"I'll pick you up now, you'll have to accompany me to the Mall" Freddin said, turning off the phone.

"Hey I don't want to" Laura replied annoyed after hearing the phone's voice being disconnected.
