Chapter 23: Only One Way

Bryan takes Seira to his car and leaves Thomas' residence. The woman was still unconscious. Bryan takes Seira to his home to be examined by a medical team.

"He's okay, Doc?" ask Bryan.

"He just fainted Master" replied the Doctor who worked for the Wijaya family.

"Thank God" Bryan replied in relief.

"He just needs to rest Master" continued the Doctor again.

"Thank you Doc" Bryan said.

Bryan looked at Seira's face for so long and held Seira's soft cheeks. The man did not expect Seira to know the son of a big mafia.

"Is he not aware of the danger he is facing" Bryan muttered thinking of Seira.

"Even she's pretty when she's asleep" Bryan said.

Bryan then exits the room and allows Seira to rest. She was afraid of waking Seira up and making the girl uncomfortable.

On the other hand, Larissa is confused by her plan that failed miserably. He and Owen did not expect anyone to foil the plan they had carefully assembled.

"I have to how, Bryan probably already knows by now that I'm approaching Seira" Larissa said in fear.

"You don't panic first, we think of a way out" Owen replied.

"Who was the man who foiled our plan last night?" ask Owen again.

"He's William our office partner, I didn't think he had such a plot" Larissa said fretfully.

"We have to rearrange the plan" Owen replied.

"Yes, what reason would I give if Bryan knew any of this" Larissa was terrified as she bit her thumb.

The two of them thought for a moment, not a single idea crossed Larissa's head. Unlike Larissa, Owen is still trying to think and find the best way out of their problems.

"There is only one way that makes the most sense and definitely makes Bryan unshakable" Owen said.

"What's that?" urge Larissa curious.

"But this way is very extreme, and if it fails it is very dangerous" Owen said again.

"I'm dead-end, just tell me what brought Bryan back to my side" Larissa said.

"Zelyn, we have to get Zelyn involved in this" Owen said.

"Huh? you mean what?" ask Larissa confused.

"You have to tell Bryan that you gave birth to his child, the reason you broke up was to keep the child" said Owen evilly.

"You mean our daughter Zelyn will you make her Bryan's daughter? he's your son not Bryan's son" Larissa said angrily.

"I know, but Bryan wouldn't know it was my son" Owen said.

"You don't think DNA tests were invented in this world?" larissa said annoyed.

"That's the main point, don't let Bryan meet Zelyn or know where Zelyn is, so he won't be able to do a DNA test" Owen said.

"How can he believe he didn't meet?" larissa asked, she began to calm down.

"The threat continues until he marries you, use Zelyn as an excuse so you can marry him" Owen said.

"He can only meet Zelyn if he has married you, take as much as he can" Owen said.

Larissa fell silent at Owen's plan. It sounds evil, but it's the only way Bryan can leave Seira and marry her. Larissa no longer knew what to do but the advice of Owen.

Actually the woman felt heavy to involve her daughter in this fight. Larissa loved little Zelyn very much which made her happy. He was still considering the advice given by Owen as the biological father of his daughter.

Seira woke up opening her eyes, the girl looking around which she did not recognize. Seira realized that it was not her home. He looked at the wall of the room and saw the figure of the man he recognized. Bryan's photos adorned every wall of his room. Seira tries to remember what happened to her.

Bryan goes into his room and finds Seira has awakened. He ran towards Seira and hugged her with haru.

"You why Ra?" bryan asked Seira.

"How can you be at Thomas's house?" ask Bryan again.

"Thomas's? who's that?" tanya Seira is not familiar.

"You don't know him?" bryan asked in surprise.

"No" Seira replied briefly.

"He said that you and he were office mates" Bryan said confusedly.

"I don't have a friend named Thomas" Seira answered honestly.

Seira did not know that the Thomas Bryan meant was the William he knew. Karema Seira just realized, Bryan did not want to force it too much and did not discuss it again. He'll figure out for himself what's going on between Seira, Larissa, and Thomas.

"You just rest" Bryan said again.

"I'm hungry" Seira said, listening to her stomach ringing.

"How long have I been asleep? how could I wake up here?" ask Seira.

"Later I'll explain everything, now you eat and rest first" Bryan asked.

Seira nodded obediently to Bryan's words. He ate voraciously and finished the food that was served to him. Bryan also ate with Seira beside him.

After eating Seira home, Bryan escorted her to his contract. Bryan initially asks Seira to go home to his extended family, but Seira refuses.

"You go home" Bryan asked.

"No, to the contract only" Seira replied refusing.

"Why don't you want to go home to your family?" ask Bryan.

"It's not home since Mama's gone" Seira replied sadly.

Bryan did not continue his words anymore, he was afraid of making Seira recall her past. The man escorted Seira to his contract on request. Arriving there Bryan did not go home immediately, he wanted to accompany Seira until she calmed down.

"Today I have to work" said Seira considering it's not Sunday.

"Don't, you're still sick" Bryan reasoned, though he was worried about Seira's safety.

"You calm down I'm better" Seira said again.

"You can't hear my words, today you just have to rest" Bryan said firmly.

Seeing Bryan so firmly to tell him to rest at home made Seira obedient. He very rarely saw Bryan's face like that.

Seira then makes tea for Bryan and talks to him in the living room. Seira has not remembered what happened to her last night.

"My friend Larissa, do you know what happened to him? she had dinner with me, I was worried she was okay" Seira said, recalling that she had dinner with Larissa.

"He's okay you just calm down" Bryan replied worriedly.
