Chapter 25: Too Bad

Freddin held his chin and did not stop turning his office chair. She was thinking of the best way to separate Laura from Doctor Niko. Freddin is afraid Laura knows Niko's true nature and hurts her self-esteem who has praised Niko all-out.

"I have to talk to him" Freddin said.

Freddin came to the hospital where Niko worked. She was waiting for Niko to leave the hospital because she did not have an appointment. Without Freddin knowing, today Laura also has an appointment with Niko at the hospital.

After a long wait Niko finally came out as well. Freddin goes straight to Niko, not knowing that Niko is out to meet Laura. Freddin pulled Niko's hand and took her to a deserted place, Laura who saw it following the two of them.

"What Freddin is doing here" Laura muttered as she followed the two men.

After finding a suitable place to talk together, Freddin immediately let go of Niko's hand. Doctor Niko looks shocked by Freddin's sudden actions.

"What is this" said Doctor Niko slightly raised her voice.

"You have to stay away from Laura" Freddin said angrily.

Laura who heard that immediately stepped closer. But the next sentence that came out of Freddin's mouth stopped his steps and made the woman return to her original position and hide.

"You've got a girlfriend but you've given Laura hope" Freddin said.

"What do you mean" replied Doctor Niko.

"You don't have to be plain pretentious in front of me, what is this?" said Freddin while showing a photo of Niko's affection with his girlfriend.

"Kamuu, how can you have this" said Niko began to fear.

"So soon stay away from Laura, for reasons that won't hurt her" Freddin threatened.

Laura who heard that immediately fell silent. He didn't expect Freddin didn't want him to know and hurt. Laura felt foolish and ashamed to have praised Niko all-out in front of Freddin.

"What should I do?" ask Niko.

"That's the reason you want to continue your study abroad or whatever, the important reason is that it doesn't hurt Laura" Freddin said.

"If you fail, be careful" Freddin said again.

"Alright you should leave immediately, Laura is about to come to see me" said Doctor Niko who did not know that Laura had arrived and eavesdropped on their conversation.

"Alright, immediately disconnect your relationship today as well, I don't want you to play tricks on him" Freddin again threatened.

"Alright" answered Niko in fear.

Freddin rushed out of the hospital park and returned to his car. She was completely unaware that Laura already knew everything.

Upon seeing Freddin's car drive away from the hospital parking lot, Laura immediately meets Niko. He wanted an explanation for all the strange things he had just heard.

"Laura you have arrived" said Niko as if nothing had happened.

"Let's talk while drinking tea" said Laura who was still patient.

They both went to tea at the cafe in front of the hospital. Laura began to invite Niko to talk without any emotion at all.

"I've heard all your conversations with Freddin, you don't realize that I've been eavesdropping on all your conversations" Laura said.

"You don't have to worry, Freddin doesn't need to know any of this, I just want to know the truth of all this" Laura said.

"I'm sorry Laura, actually I've liked a woman since High School, but my parents don't approve of us because she's from a simple family" said Doctor Niko Lirih.

"My mom thought we broke up, that was the only way my mom wouldn't bother my boyfriend anymore" Niko continued.

"She wants me to marry a girl who is equal to our family, like you, to be honest I am happy when I am with you, you are a good, honest and cheerful girl, but I can only be friends with you and nothing more" Niko explained at length.

Laura just smiled, she knew Niko had no ill intentions on her. Laura also knows that Niko does this all because of the imposing circumstances. The woman was even concerned about the relationship of Doctor Niko who was not approved by her parents.

"Be patient, you deserve to be happy" Laura smiled.

"Aren't you mad at Laura?" ask Niko again.

"No, that woman must be very lucky to have a man who defends her like you, even though your family doesn't approve of you even staying with her and not leaving" Laura said.

"Thank you Laura, you are indeed a good girl, I'm sure you will soon meet a man who will make you happy" Niko prayed to Laura.

Laura simply smiled and nodded at Doctor Niko. After they finished talking, Laura returned to her home. During the trip Laura thought about Freddin's behavior today. She had not expected Freddin to go this far for her sake. Freddin didn't even want him to be sad in the slightest.

"Maybe I've been too mean to her" Laura smiled.

Laura changed direction and did not go home. He was heading to the Wilson family residence he used to visit.

Seira looked at Bryan who was asleep in his living room chair. The man was really stubborn and did not want to go home at all. He wanted to always take care of Seira after what happened to the girl.

"I have to work Bryan" said Seira annoyed.

"I'm coming" Bryan replied instantly waking up.

"No way" Seira denied.

"Then you can't go to work" Bryan replied again.

An irritated Seira immediately prepared to leave for his office. He doesn't want to be late for work today. He had not worked for a few days because of the incident that night. He did not want to add to the holiday and got a reprimand from the boss.

"You just move to headquarters, I'll take care of it" Bryan said unsettledly.

"I don't want to, I like working there and the people" Seira replied.

"You'll know that your officemate who invited you to dinner is evil" Bryan said, not telling Seira that he knew Larissa.

"I can ask him first, it could be a misunderstanding, maybe he was drunk that night" Seira said.

"Not to mention the mafia, have you lost your fear?" bryan was upset.

"Which mob, in my office there is no mafia named Thomas" Seira said again.

Bryan was really upset Seira didn't want to listen to him. She doesn't know what to do to convince Seira that in her office a lot of things are really awkward.
