Not my fault

Not my fault
Good bye, Arlan.

I've brought memories from you, I hope I'll be happy somewhere else.

If we're meant to be together, I'm sure we'll stick together at the end of our story.

Ich liebe dich uber alles, Arlan.

A week passed, from the day Evelyn met someone she already considered her older sister.

There he told her about his wishes, about everything that happened and everything that was being faced by him.

At that time all he thought about was him, the older brother who would definitely help him. But unfortunately, he got instead a rejection with good reasons for him and his cousin.

Fortunately, there was someone else, who heard and understood him, so that he and someone could convince the brother, to do the original plan.

Today is the appointed day for him to go according to his covenant with that man.

Evelyn pov

After Arlan's departure, I left in a taxi and stopped at the lobby door.

I got down and immediately entered the lobby, walking towards the room I had memorized outside my head.

I walked over and smiled, as I was greeted by the information officer, who happened to know me as a friend of the office owner.

Now in front of me was a door with brown paint, I raised my hand to knock on the door.

Geck! Geck! Geck!

Chequek!

Slightly shocked, when he saw who opened the door for me. But I smiled, as someone greeted me kindly and with a warm smile.

"Evelyn, what's wrong?"

"Riyanti, are you here?" I said back to ask, but fortunately Riyanti was not angry and replied to my question kindly.

"I'm having some business with Riki, Evelyn."

"Oh."

"Riyanti, who is it?"

We both turned to the voice, who asked who the guests were.

"Ricky."

"Geely!"

Riki was of course shocked, when I saw that usually at this hour in his cousin's office, standing in casual clothes in front of his room.

"Evelyn, you don't work?" riki continued asking, with a curious face expression.

"Me, I'm off. Then I came here" I replied with a small smile.

"Holiday, once tumben. It seems like Arlan is turning soft now," Riki's timpan teased me as usual, but I just smiled a little to hide my sadness.

"Go in, Lyn."

I nodded and walked inside, with Riyanti closing the door and sitting next to me.

"What do you want to drink, Evelyn?"

I turned to the side, as Riyanti asked me, replacing Riki who was currently busy with paper, only then walked up to me.

"Anything, Riyanti. Thank you," I said.

Riyanti then walked out of the room, after nodding in understanding towards me.

"Thus ... What's up, Lyn? Tumben once came did not say. Not as usual" he asked and looked at me curiously.

I sighed, before looking at the new door and then looking at my brother again.

"Ricky."

"Yes?"

"Riki, I want to get out of here."

"What!"

Riki of course looked at me in shock, upon hearing my unreasonable request, who suddenly said he wanted to leave here. But I can't give up, I have to explain clearly what my intentions and goals are.

"Yes Riki, I want to get out of this town. I want to be alone right now," I explained, but dear Riki just looked at me with a look of disbelief.

Then the atmosphere became quiet, when he was just silent while I was stringing words myself, so that my brother would help me get out of this city.

"Why? What's the reason, Lyn?" he asked in a soft tone, bowing his head and it made me sad.

"There's no excuse, Riki. I just want to leave this city," I replied of course lying.

"It doesn't make sense, Lyn. There's no way you suddenly want to leave, try to explain to me what happened. Or does this have anything to do with Arlan and his marriage? But, aren't you and him now in love. You also said you were sure that Arlan only loved you?"

I was struck by my brother's true words. I know what Riki said is true, if Arlan only loves me. But there is more to it than love itself.

"I know, I love her too. But, I can't destroy it, just to fulfill my selfish love, Riki."

Riki looked at me more and more with a confused expression, making me again sigh as I realized, if it would not be enough with just this kind of excuse that I used, to make my brother help me get out of here.

"riv ... I want to tell you one thing. About the reason why I approached Arlan again," I muttered, with him answering me quickly, even too quickly as I looked at his impatient expression.

"What, what does that mean, Lyn."

I also told him about the truth and lies, about the death of my mother who made him stand up and curse angrily behind me.

"So you mean, you originally approached Arlan for revenge, because Tania had already made mother die, did you?" ask her with me who just nodded.

"And you succeeded, and then you told the truth without telling me any other reason for the truth, did you?" ask again and again I just nodded.

"Evelyn, why are you doing this? Why don't you report this to the authorities, so that they can thoroughly investigate the matter?"

"Can't Riki, you should know, even if I report who did that to the authorities, what authorities will do after knowing who I'm accusing? Moreover, I only have a witness of a child, who is not recognized by his validity. How about they charge me back, with defamation charges."

I saw Riki cursing in annoyance again, this time clutching her hair and then coming up to me in haste, taking me into her arms, which of course I greeted with equally tight reply.

"Stupid, why don't you tell me earlier. So I can help you figure out a way to deal with Tania."

Riki scolded me, whispering softly in my ear, with me who could only say an apology.

A swab from him on my shoulder, made me feel comfortable. I got into her arms, occasionally sobbing when I remembered my mother.

"Continue, Lyn. I don't think you're done telling me the truth."

I unraveled his embrace, with him wiping away the tears in the corner of my eyes using his two thumbs.

"I'm-i'm ..."

"Slow down" she asked, so I nodded and began to tell stories.

I started from the beginning until I was faced with a very difficult choice in my opinion.

Throughout my story, Riki just kept quiet and looked at me with a sad expression.

"But Lyn. You better be honest with Arlan. I know how Arlan. He must also know how to handle it."

I shook my head again, rejecting the idea of him telling Arlan. I can't, I can't destroy it just for a relationship with me.

"No Riki, I'm afraid that Tania will completely destroy Arlan. I beg Riki, help me get out of here, so I can prevent this destruction, I beg you."

I saw him shake his head, rejecting my request which I had thought well of. Because with just this, Arlan would be spared from destruction.

"No-no, not Evelyn."

"Riki," called me in a frustrated tone. I don't know who else can help me right now. I only believe in Riki, my brother and my only relative.

"Evelyn, think again, I'm sure there's another way out."

"Nothing, Riki. There's nothing!"

I can't believe it, if I get this frustrated, that I don't realize I've been squealing with desperate screams.

"You don't see how he put the knife around his neck, how can I let him die before me, in front of my own two eyes. How can I, Riki!"

"Lyn

Geck! Geck! Tok

We were silent, when we heard a knock from outside the room, I was sure it would be Riyanti.

"In a moment, let me open it," said Riki with me who could only nod.

Riki walked over, came to the door and I immediately wiped my tears, I did not want to be caught by Riyanti if I had just cried.

From here I could see Riki talking to someone, preventing him from entering but it was useless, when he entered and suddenly hugged me tightly.

"Riyanti," my great-granddaughter was shocked, yet she did not reply to me, only poking me tighter.

"Evely. Sorry, I heard it. Sorry, I didn't mean to, but I was too curious."

There was shock and annoyance in my heart, but it was already angry even parcum, so I returned his embrace, with him increasing his embrace.

"It's okay, Riyanti."

Riyanti then parsed her arms, looked at Riki, then looked at me again.

"I will help you, I will hide you from the world. You want a neri-

"Riyanti! Don't be crazy!"

I could see Riki, whose face was red, seemed to be angry with Riyanti's unilateral decision to help me.

"What crazy, Riki! You are a man who understands women's thinking. I'm sure, if Evelyn is also depressed by this situation. But look, Evelyn dared to take this decision. That means Evelyn knows what she's doing."

"But it can't be this way, Riyanti. It was the same as Evelyn who lost!"

"So what should it be like, Riki!"

I could only look at them in silence, as they fought with me as a trigger.

"Riyanti I'm not

"Stop! Riki, I'll follow Riyanti. I'll accept Riyanti's help, Riki."

"Evely! You know not what you just said. You just give up? The Evelyn I know isn't like this."

The deg!

My heart paused for a moment, when I heard how Riki said, if I yng now is not the old Evelyn.

I know, I'm acting like a coward right now, but what can I do.

"Riki, I beg you," I asked and finally Riki nodded in agreement.

"Alright, it's up to you Lyn. If you think this is true, I'll support you."

Flasback end

So here I am at the moment, on the way to the place, which only I, Riki and Riyanti know as the one who proposed the place.

"I'm sorry, Arlan."
