MY LOVELY AUTHOR'S

MY LOVELY AUTHOR'S
THE FIGURE BEHIND THE STALKER PART 5

            Narrator’s POV

In his study, the Admiral sat staring at his laptop and checked CCTV footage of the apartment building where Asha lived. The admiral looked out of his office window and realized that the sky had turned pitch-black, a sign that night had arrived. The admiral looked towards the wall clock in his study and saw the clockwork showing at 11 p.m.

“Ah ... This is not an easy job!” The admiral complained of being tired after several hours of his eyes staring at his laptop and was forced to keep it open to search for the perpetrators of the fire that killed four Asha family members.

Feeling tired, Laksmana pressed the pause button on the CCTV footage she was viewing and leaned against the back of her work chair. The admiral massaged his forehead several times to rest both his eyes and brain working so hard today.

“This woman ... “ Admiral stared at the file Asha received from the team that previously managed the Asha family house fire. “She's an unusual woman. His job is a well-known author by the name of Walflower. Her lover is the famous actor Arata-si. These two things alone are enough to surprise me. But ... Judging from the background of this woman and her past life, I was even more shocked. This woman has a dark past as a victim of bullying, not just once but twice. Because the case ... his family threw it away because it was felt to make his family name tainted. This woman then locked herself in an apartment until finally decided to write as a job to support her. And not long ago, this woman got into trouble with her lover's co-star who felt that this woman did not deserve to be with Arata.”

            Tuk .. tuk.

The admiral tapped his finger and checked the files he had obtained from his men a few hours ago. The file ... contains all Asha's acquaintances for some time which is not too much. All of Asha's acquaintances were mostly her co-workers.

            Tuk .. tuk.

The admiral thought again and this time closed his eyes to give concentration to his already very tired mind. In his mind ... The admiral recalled all the contents of the files related to Asha: from friends, co-workers, lovers, family and everyone who had been involved with Asha.  Laksmana also recalled all the question sessions he gave to Asha today as well as the statements given by Pak Raya.  The admiral then shared the information in his mind and attempted for possibilities that might be visible but disguised.

            Tuk .. tuk.

The admiral opened his eyes as his hand tapped onto his desk for the third time. “The culprit ... must be the person from Miss Asha's own acquaintance! I'm sure it is!”

*

Last night .. I remember Arata coming to me in my room with a little boy face that seemed to be preparing to plead guilty to me. His eyes did not dare to look at me directly and several times looked at me with a glance. Seeing her face like that, I who had been sad since, really wanted to laugh. Who would have thought that Arata who was known to be cold and even dared to argue with his brother, was able to put such a face in front of me.

“I'm not angry, Arata.” I confirmed it to Arata and sure enough, in an instant Arata's guilty face turned into a happy face like Arata used to show when he met me.

“Kukira ... Author will be mad at me because I hid this matter from Author.” As soon as I knew I was not angry, Arata immediately sat beside me who had been sitting on the sofa by the window of the room in the Wiyarta residence.

“It was so, I want to be mad at you. But given Mr. Raya's careful explanation to me by waiting for clarity from the police, I know you chose to hide it because you need strong evidence.”

            “But what?” many confused.

“But why has Author been hiding that threat from me?” Arata finally asked me about the black envelope and the threatening letter inside that I always said as a letter from my fans.

I explained the reason I hid the letter from many people due to various considerations: I don't want Arata to worry too much about me, nor do I want Arata to blame her fans, then lastly, I felt that the letter did not bother me and just wanted to convey the expression of his heart.

“You know Arata, I initially agreed with the contents of the threat letter. I don't deserve to be with you. You're a bright star admired by many while I'm .. Only a writer can be famous for your help.”

Arata looked at me. Both of his hands moved towards my face and before long-Cup-Arata briefly kissed my lips. After doing that brief kiss, Arata looked at me with a deep look. “Never say that sentence again, Author!! You are a bright star to me. Although others cannot see it, I can be here, in my current position also because of you. Whatever people say, whatever people complain, it doesn't matter to me. I'm in this position to find you, Author. I'm in this position - to be a bright star, so you can see me like I've seen you all this time.”

I nodded my head obediently to the warning Arata gave me. “I won't say that again, Arata.”

            The next day ...

Arata and his mother really made me realize that they were a different family. Just to come to the premiere of the film based on my novel, Arata and her mother brought an exclusive class makeup artist to Wiyarta's residence to decorate me, decorate Mom, decorate Dad, make up Dad, and decorate two Arata brothers. Unmitigated five exclusive class makeup artists were set to only put makeup on my face for a few hours event.

“What is not excessive, Bu?” I just don't believe it.

“No. I told Arata and Arata agreed to this.  Arata advised that Asha should look beautiful.”

In the end ... I can only resign to the wishes of Arata and also his mother.  Seeing how the two of them were now completely compact, I felt both happy as well as feeling a bit of a bad premonition. I didn't expect the two people who had been at odds all this time, to have a very similar resemblance in nature. They both like to be pushy when it comes to me.

“You are really beautiful, my beloved Author.” Arata extended his hand towards me when after an hour I received makeup on my face and wore a dress designed by Arata himself.

I received the helping hand and was about to walk with Arata, but I forgot to put on my shoes because I was so nervous. “Ah, shoe. I haven't worn his shoes yet, Arata.”

“Wait here, Author.” Arata took a beautiful pair with matching colors with a height of 10cm. The height of the shoe will make my body look taller and slightly parallel to Arata.

Arata knelt down in front of me and pulled my hand to hold his shoulder. Arata did that so that I could have a grip when putting on high shoes and this made me recall the old memories of Arata doing that at our second meeting when I wasn't recognized him.
