MY LOVELY AUTHOR'S

MY LOVELY AUTHOR'S
STARS OF LUCK PART 1

As usual, Warda would come in every Wednesday Tuesday and Friday to check on my work. Warda's coming in at 9am, sitting in the living room of my apartment, turning on the TV and looking for a TV channel that talks about anything about Arata.

“Not have you ever felt bored seeing and hearing about Arata??”

After a long time working with Warda, I finally opened my mouth to make a complaint that had always been buried in my deepest heart. I admit after a few years of working with Warda, I've grown tired of seeing and hearing all about Arata from Warda's mouth and from TV channels.

“I never get bored with all the things about Arata. You know, Asha, if I was pregnant and hoped my son would take a little good looks from my dear Arata.” Warda returned my words with a smile while gently stroking her stomach several times that enlarged due to the fetus inside.

If I don't remember wrongly, in two weeks Warda will start taking leave for pregnant women and giving birth because of her gestational age which has been running towards 9 months.

“Ya. . . yes. . . yes. . . I hope so. I hope your son will take a little good looks from your dear Arata. I wonder if your husband was never angry when you were busy looking at your dear Arata?”

Warda shook his head. “Of course not, because I saw Arata only when at your house and in the office only. When at home, I will only see Arata when I see my laptop.”

No wonder when in my house, Warda always dominates my TV which I rarely even see and only use as a peacemaker when I feel lonely. Maybe for Warda, this house may have become his fourth home after his own house, his father-in-law's house and his office.

Warda got up from her seat on the large, comfortable sofa from my apartment and walked to my desk a few steps away from her couch. Warda looked at my hand that was still busy dancing on the keyboard describing what I saw in my mind into my laptop.

“Is this story about to end soon?” Warda looked at the novel I was typing with a serious face.

“Yes before you leave, I'll finish it. That way, you can take a quiet leave and give your job as an editor to your replacement editor for three months.”

Warda immediately hugged me and made me feel a small kick coming from inside her enlarged belly. “You are my favorite author, Asha. It wasn't my fault I found you a few years ago and forced my boss to accept your writing. You really are my lucky star.”

Several times Warda always did this to me: hugging me while I was busy typing and making me listen to the movements of the fetus in it. I don't know why Warda always does that, but I guess. . . Warda just wanted to make his little son in his stomach know me who he already considered a good friend and brother. Warda even asked for name advice for his little son. I give you some names that sound cool but also have a good meaning. Warda and her husband eventually chose one of the names as the name of their son.

“Warda, can you let go of that hug and let me type again?? I have to finish this story quickly before you take time off.”

“Ah sorry.” Warda let go of her embrace in my body and let me go back to working on my novel. “Please continue, Asha.”

Warda's back on the couch. I thought he'd sit down and see his dearest Arata again. But he just stopped by and picked up the big bag he was carrying earlier. Warda walked into my kitchen and put some of the food boxes she had deliberately brought into my refrigerator.

“This is a meal my mother made. You have to eat it and do not be too busy working to ignore eating and getting sick. Remember to eat, Asha!”

“As a substitute for the food I have been carrying. . . Can you visit me when I have given birth??”

I stopped typing on my keyboard and looked towards Warda. “What are you talking about, Warda? Even though I don't like getting out of this room, I still know how to return the favor. You might be my editor. But after a few years of knowing each other, you're my friend too. You always give your mother's cooking to me. Of course I'll come see you and see how handsome your son is. I want to see if your son took that good-looking Arata of yours or not??”

“Happy to hear it then, Asha.”

After putting all the food she brought into my fridge and taking all her food boxes that I washed this morning, Warda sat back and looked at his beloved Arata again and I was again busy with my keyboard while continuing another story in the fantasy world in my mind.

For some time, Warda was busy listening to Arata's interview on TV. Warda was so focused on listening that her slightly chatty and puffed-up mouth, was tightly closed. The silence of Warda makes me busy continuing another story on my laptop, making me hear also the interview Arata dearest.

Host: Mr. Arata, after a few years has become a famous actor and model, can I ask what is your motivation to be in the top 10 Famous Actors right now?

Arata: Like any story, you know that my early journey as an actor and model didn't go well. Previously. . . I even had a very desperate and wanted to give up, so I accidentally read my favorite book and found a sentence that made me finally choose to survive.

Host: If I don't remember wrong, Mr. Arata is a fan of the books written by Wallflower, right?

Arata: That's right. I followed the Wallflower author's career journey from his first book entitled Life That May Be Hard.  Since reading the book, I've been a fan of the Wallflower author. I continued to follow and collect all his works that even now write novels with the genre of romance and fantasy. It feels. .. I never even get bored when reading the book. In his work, I always find life sentences that help me when I feel upset, down and sad.

From where I sat, I could clearly see the smile on Warda's lips when the name Wallflower was mentioned by his dearest Arata.

“You heard, Asha?? My dear Arata mentioned your name in his interview. With this your popularity will increase and your books will be increasingly sold in the market. Maybe I should say that Arata is your lucky star.”

I smiled slightly looking at the smile on Warda's lips. “I heard it too, Warda. I heard it very clearly when you play the TV with almost maximum volume.”

Thas right. The famous Wallflower author who became an idol for Arata - the famous actor was me and the one who made me become a successful author like now is Arata himself.
