Today my body should have fallen on the floor and I've lost my face to the shame that happened to me. In fact, what I was afraid of only happened in my mind and did not really happen in the real world.
Hup. “I caught you, author Wallflower.”
My body that should have felt the coldness of the floor was now in Arata's powerful arm catch. With our distance very close, I could feel the fragrant smell of the perfume she was using and hear something that might have been her heartbeat.
“Author okay?” whispered to me.
“Ma-forgive me.” Aware of the shock that had struck me, I immediately pulled my body and moved away from Arata. But because I was still not used to the high shoes I was wearing, once again. . I almost fell down and made Arata have to catch my arm to keep my image.
“It looks like Author Wallflower is not doing well? Should I hold Author up to the stage?” Arata whispered to me all of a sudden and made me have to stare at him because of his words that seemed bad I heard.
“No need, Mr. Arata,” reply me by whispering to him. Immediately after saying that, I moved away from Arata and took off the high shoes that almost fell down twice and almost made me lose my face. By holding two high shoes in my left hand, I apologize to my fans and Arata fans. “I'm sorry, because I'm not used to high shoes, this can happen. Sorry for inconveniencing Mr. Arata and thank you for the attention of Mr. Arata as well as the attention of all of you.”
I feel the need to say that so that in the future I can avoid problems that may arise due to misunderstanding of perception when events like this happen. From the research of writing novels, I learned many things including events like this and how to overcome them.
“Our author, Author Wallflower besides beautiful, she is also a wise person.” To distract the attendees, the host attempted to make things conducive by opening his mouth and giving me a little compliment. “Alright let us welcome Author Wallflower, one of the top ten well-known and successful Authors in the country whose work is always eagerly awaited.”
The shocked faces of the day's attendees including Arata's fans then turned to applause when the host's remarks managed to distract the attendees. After that. . . the event went smoothly from the review session of my novel books, a short question and answer session and the last signature session. Today's show is a big fan of Arata's because Arata also put his signature on my novel next to my signature.
“Thank you very much for your cooperation, Mr. Arata.” Once the event ended and all the participants had left. Warda shook Arata's hand as the end of our cooperation when we delivered Arata's departure at the back door.
“I am also very happy to be joining this event, Miss Warda. If an event like this exists again and Miss is willing to invite me again, I will definitely direct my time to accept that invitation, Miss.” Arata replies with his sweet way of speaking. Seeing that, I can already guess if Arata must often do that in his work.
He is an expert at speaking. That's what I was thinking.
“Ah. . . so happy to hear that, Mr. Arata. I will certainly send you an invitation again if an event like this is done again. Unfortunately, events like this will not be done too often because. .” Warda stopped her speech and then gave a slight glance towards me as if she was making a gesture to Arata. After doing so, Warda then asked Arata for permission to whisper into his ear and I could not hear it.
After hearing the whispers from Warda, Arata looked at me with a small smile on his lips as if saying they were whispering about me in front of my eyes.
“Then I wait again for the invitation of the next event, Miss Warda and remember I will only accept that invitation if the author is the author of Wallflower. Because for me he is the only writer I idolize, Miss.”
“I understand, Mr.”
Arata was about to walk away along with his manager and makeup artist without talking to me. I then thought about the expensive clothes and shoes I was wearing, I felt like I had to return those expensive clothes and shoes. Because of that.. .by carrying the expensive shoes in my hand, I called Arata and made his step stop.
“Master Arata.”
Arata turned around and looked at me. Not long after that she beckoned her manager and makeup artist to leave her. The manager and makeup artist first went into their car, while Arata walked over to me.
“Asha. Call me by the name of Asha. Wallflower was just the name I used when I was a writer. Since you've met me in person and I've decided to show myself after many years of hiding, you can just call me by my name.”
“Good, Asha.”
A wide smile appeared on his lips. This time the smile that appeared on Arata's lips was different from the smiles I had seen before. If the previous smile always displayed his charm as a handsome man that everyone wanted then this time the smile I saw was the happy smile of a little boy and this smile made me feel a bad feeling.
“Ahh. . . This.” I raised my hand that was holding a high shoe from him. “I have to return these shoes and this shirt. How am I supposed to return this to you? These clothes and shoes look expensive. “
“No need, Asha. I deliberately bought those shoes and clothes as a gift for you because I finally got to meet my idol after all these years I hoped to meet me.”
Arata's manager walked towards us and this time brought something in his hands, one big bag and four books of my novel.
“This is what you asked for, Arata.” Arata's manager gave him two things that he had brought.
“Thank you, Brother Rama.” After receiving the two items, Arata then thrust four books of my novel towards me. “Can I get your autograph? I am your fan, after all.”
“Here??”
“Ya.” Arata turned around and gave his back towards me. “Use my back if you have trouble making a signature.”
“Good.”
Arata's manager gave me the questioner and helped me to bring three other books from my novel while I put my signature on my novel.
“Your signature is truly unique, Asha. As the name suggests Wallflower, you make a signature by creating a picture of a flower that hides behind a wall before giving your name on it. If you can figure out why you're using that name?”
Arata's manager took one of the books I had autographed and gave another book I hadn't signed while I spoke to Arata who was the base for where I signed.
“Maybe. . I chose that name because it describes me who likes to hide inside my apartment. I can't write if I'm not in my apartment. Maybe that's why I chose that name.” I finished putting four signatures on the four books that Arata had brought and gave them to Arata's manager. “I'm done. You can turn around, Arata.”
“Thank you for the signature.” After saying that, Arata pulled one of my hands and slowly knelt down in front of me. Arata then put my hand that he pulled over my shoulder. “Hold my shoulder so you don't fall again. Today you are too much to fall??”
“What are you going to do, Arata?” I panicked and was about to pull my hand but Arata immediately pulled my hand and kept it on his shoulder.
“Hold on my shoulder.” After saying that Arata took out the shoes from inside the big bag that the manager was carrying and put them on my barefoot two feet.
