31 Feeling Insinuated

Two years after Candra was in prison...

After the situation is safe and able to talk together, Mahendra starts questioning Renata with his drastically changed circumstances.

"What's up Renata? Why did you suddenly come here?" ask Mahendra.

"Why? Can't I come here? I just bought you some food so you can take a short break from your work." Renata explained lightly and smiled.

"That's not what I mean."

Renata frowned not understanding Mahendra's words.

"I mean are you okay until you come here?"

Renata stared at Mahendra for quite a while. He thought how to answer it. For two years he had not met Mahendra.

"It's been two years that my father has been in prison. I've been mending my messy feelings for two years. Difficult for me. I'm afraid of being labeled a murderous child. There's a lot I've been through and you don't know. But now that I'm completely fine even I'm working on my script." Renata replied.

"Liliana called. You work hard until you lack sleep and rest. I should have asked, what is wrong with you? Why is hard work almost non-stop?" continued Renata while holding back her tears from falling.

Mahendra's heart rippled warmly and he felt his heart beating faster than usual. Could it be because Renata held back her tears? Or is it because the Renata he saw was in fine condition, not what he had been worried about all along.
