30 Wake Up in the Middle of the Night

Thirty minutes have passed. The trial begins again and the judge will read the verdict. All participants sit back in their seats as well as the defendant, welcome to sit back to his seat.

Herlina and Nina had already resigned to what the Judge was about to read. Especially Herlina. He is ready for any risks, including if it concerns his company.

When everyone was sitting in an orderly manner, there was one more person who was late and immediately sat in the participant's seat.

"In accordance with case number 184, for the sake of upholding justice based on the Supreme Godhead we hereby declare to Brother Candra Tanujaya, that the Accused will be sentenced to life imprisonment."

Tok.dok...

The judge has read the verdict and the trial is closed. There was no commotion at the time of the verdict. Everything went well. Participants then disbanded and the accused was again accompanied to return.

When he stood up and wanted to leave the room, Herlina was surprised by Renata sitting in the back row.

Herlina immediately approached the bowed Renata.

"Renata! Renata... What are you doing? Let's go home." take Herlina slowly to Renata's hand. Nina helps Renata to get up but Renata is too limp to get up. Once again, Renata is shocked by what happened to her father.

Mahendra who saw Renata fall immediately ran and grabbed Renata.

"Let's go to the parking lot" Mahendra said, wrapping Renata's hand around his shoulder.

Herlina and Nina follow Mahendra to the car park. After arriving at the car, Renata is rested and Herlina thanks Mahendra.

"Thank you for the help. From now on we will take care of Renata. Play around later and keep Renata entertained. All this time, it was you who was close to Renata" Herlina said patting Mahendra on the shoulder and smiling.

Mahendra returned Herlina's smile and was relieved that the case had ended well.

"Thank you, Mom. I'll play around later."

"We say yes" said Herlina entered her car and Mahendra waved his hand.

Herlina hugged Renata who was in shock with what happened just now.

"Remains.. Do you want to go home to Grandma's?" ask Herlina.

"I want to rest at home, Grandma. Later if I'm better, I'll go to Grandma's house." replied Renata.

"alright. Come whenever you want."

During the trip there was no more talk. All were deep in his thoughts and Renatapun also closed his eyes during the trip.

It is difficult to control a wounded heart. It felt like I could think of nothing but to calm the mind of the thing that hurt the heart.

It could be that someone feels strong to forget the sadness in him. The question is, until when can he try hard to forget his sadness if eventually one day he will fall?

The heart can be as hard as steel, it can also be as soft as cotton. But this concerns someone Renata has loved for the rest of her life. And later, Renata will come to Kinanti to say his longing greetings.

Mahendra took off his toga and threw himself in his chair. The burden was already slightly gone from his shoulders. Yesterday was heavy, not anymore.

Nugraha and Liliana are grateful that the Kinanti case was completed sooner than expected.

"I'm grateful that this case was resolved sooner. I think it will be difficult because Herlina is the owner of the famous Seijin Group" Liliana said.

"It may be heavy for Herlina too, but covering it up doesn't make Candra change. Perhaps Herlina thought so and Candra's mistake was already very fatal to be forgiven by Herlina. That's in my opinion yes." said Nugraha.

"But in hindsight, Candra's second wife wasn't as evil as on television. He was kind enough to help take care of Kinanti" Nugraha continued. Not yet aware that Mahendra is in confusion. Liliana nudged him so that Nugraha was a little sensitive to the current atmosphere.

Nugraha complained of pain when Liliana pinched him a little, but immediately understood Liliana's cue to pay attention to Mahendra's condition a little.

"Sir, Mr. Mahendra. Are you okay?" ask Nugraha.

Mahendra was still daydreaming and did not hear the call of Nugraha.

"Maybe Mr Mahendra is thinking about something?" liliana asked, but Mahendra still did not discuss Liliana's question.

Nugraha and Liliana looked at each other, asking in a signal what was really going on.

"Sir? Mr Mahendra?" repeat Liliana with a slightly pressed tone that makes Mahendra aware.

"Yes? What's up?" mahendra finally woke up from his daydream.

"Mr is worrying about something?" ask Nugraha.

Mahendra took a deep breath and leaned his head back in the chair.

"Eitherway. I can't think straight. How Renata feels now after knowing his father was sentenced for life" Mahendra said.

Nugraha and Liliana smiled behind some papers. Apparently Mahendra was very worried about Renata.

"If you are curious, you can go to his house to see the situation" said Nugraha smiling.

Mahendra immediately misbehaved by Nugraha like that.

"To..to his house? what's for?"

"Well, haven't you been to his house often? Take a video, unpack the frame, help Renata tidy things up while moving.." Liliana added so as to add a hue on Mahendra's cheek.

"You know about me helping Renata move?" mahendra asked with his innocent face. Nugraha and Liliana could only look at each other looking at the wrong behavior of her boss.

Renata visits the crematorium where Kinanti's ashes are kept. Renata stared at the photo near Kinanti's urn. Kinanti's pretty face made Renata's heart rustle to remember her. How very attentive and always worried about the state of Renata.

Renata began to shed her tears. His sadness over the secret of Kinanti that has never been known, makes the heart of Renata more painful to remember it.

"How are you, Mom?" Renata said a greeting with trembling lips. He could not hold back the tears he had been holding for so long.

"I'm sorry Renata, Mom. Renate.... Renata doesn't know Mom's condition.... Renata just found out, Mom...."

Renata tried to wipe away her tears but it was useless, because the more they were removed, the tears broke again.

"Mom... Why did you never tell me about Mom's condition? I feel guilty, Mom, for not knowing all this time..."

Renata again sobbed and covered her face.

"Dad's been arrested too, ma'am... Let me get a proper reply, ma'am...."

Renata was unable to continue his conversation with Kinanti. He sobbed with a bitter heart. Try as hard and as hard as possible but can't. He could only cry and apologize for not knowing Kinanti's true condition.

Renata was still unable to recover from the grief of losing Kinanti. Besides, Kinanti had many secrets that Renata did not know made Renata's heart even sadder. But now, may you be happy and peaceful up there.

Now, Mom's healed. It doesn't hurt anymore, Mom...
