Chapter 62: David's Anxiety

The lunch of the three of them went well and came back carefree. Ngarsinah does not want to discuss why Arya approached David, the woman plans to ask him when they get home. Arsi did not want to ruin the mood of eating her two children. 

After the meal, Rangga's luxury car in Ngarsinah left the restaurant. David continued to notice Ngarsinah's movements, the man's eyes were round, his heart was slipping. Her widow now lives a luxurious and happy life with two children who have called her mama, while David who has spent a lot of money to make Novi pregnant still has not been fruitful. 

‘Until when do I wait for a child to call me Daddy? I know they are not the children of your womb Arsi, but they are born from your sincere heart. Arsi ...’ murmured David in his heart. The incident made David drown in his mind that the handsome man with the face of the bule was complaining about his condition.

"Arsi, I want to start our story, build a happy household. Are you ready?" The shadow of the past flashed in David's eyes. His heart ached remembering that, recalling the moment he dropped the triple talaq and gave the swearing oath to his ex-wife. 

'Do I regret divorcing her? Aahh no-no, maybe I'm just surprised to see Arsi who is now turning into a beauty. Novi more than him, more everything' murmured David in his heart. The man felt the excitement, long time no see now Ngarsinah seemed happy with his life.

David immediately opened his phone which read, a message from Bram who changed their meeting place tomorrow. Bram gave the address of a bakery 'Why A bread & cake'. 

David immediately replied that he agreed, the man hoped to become a supplier in all hotels owned by Bram. The handsome man quickly left the restaurant and returned to struggling with his work.

Days pass by, everyone is busy with their own business. As well as the lives of David and Novi, today David has promised Novi to take him to Leo's doctor, on Jean's recommendation. Jean did not take the drop off because she had a job, so the couple just left alone.

Arriving at the doctor Leo's office is an obstetrician, Jean's best friend. Novi felt a change in her husband, usually David was very attentive with her, but since returning home from work yesterday, David was daydreaming more and seemed restless. Novi did not dare to ask because he did not want to ignite David's emotions that would later affect himself. 

Jean had already registered the names of Novi and David, so they did not have to wait in line for long, Novi was a little anxious if later the doctor stated that he could not get pregnant. Novi's excessive fear seemed to be understood by David, the handsome man clasped his wife's hand.

“Which is quiet dear, hopefully Leo doctor can help us to have children, calm down ..” said David Iirih while holding tightly Novi's hand and channeling strength to the wife. 

When their turn came, Leo's doctor greeted the couple kindly. After talking for a moment about the journey of the two of them who are treating here and there, make Leo's doctor understand what they are facing at this time. 

General health checks are also done, sampling**** and egg cells are done, within three days they both had to return to see results and then Leo's doctor could determine what kind of treatment they needed.

"You both have to be calm, many cases the couple is equally fertile but they have to do a series of therapies to be able to get offspring. Continue to pray and do good so that God will give you trust" said Leo as he led the two of them to the door of his practice. 

"Okay doctor, I'll do what you say, please help us to get offspring. Once again, many doctors are grateful" said David, responding to the doctor's advice, the man shook hands again to separate. 

While on the road husband and wife were a lot silent, they were both busy with their respective thoughts. Novi grew increasingly anxious about David's silence, one thing he feared was not the loss of the near-perfect handsome man, but also the fear of losing the financial stability he had enjoyed with David.  

Arriving at the house David just dropped off Novi, while he drowned again with work. Today he made a deal with Bram, because of the location that Bram said was new, he had to search for that address first. 

"Rest baby, do not think much, if you are healthy and happy it becomes one of the supporting factors for us to immediately have children. I went to work, yes" said David after a long silence, Novi looked into the typical bule eyes owned by David, the woman was looking for lies in there, but he did not find it. 

"Well, you be careful baby, hurry home I'm tired of being alone." 

David kissed Novi forehead at a glance, somehow Novi felt the kiss on the forehead was tasteless. Novi felt David began to change to himself, when in their hot bed David was not like before. 

Often Novi thinks whether the work that made him a man is cold, or purely because David was disappointed because Novi never gave him a child. 

On the way David again imagined the happiness of Arsi, the ex-wife he talak three with hate. Obviously the boy was so possessive about protecting the beautiful woman he called his mother. 

Not long before his car was parked neatly in the parking lot of the Bakery WHY A. Bram was already waiting, and waving his hand towards David, the handsome bule-faced man circled his gaze, a small but very convenient cake shop to eat while hanging out here. 

Yuni is shocked to see David coming, she wants to tell Ngarsinah who is struggling in the kitchen with her employees to make bread and cake. The twins ate a snack while watching television. As it has become a habit they will wait for his papa to pick up in the afternoon or if Rangga overtime, it is not uncommon for the twins to stay at Arsi's house, Ningsih and Boby so often feel lonely because the grandchildren are now really sticky with Arsi.

“Rangga, immediately marry Arsi, so she can stay with us here and make this house crowded again. Look now the twins are more often in Arsi's house than in our house,” like that Ningsih who always urged Rangga to immediately marry Ngarsinah. Ningsih and Boby actually already really like Arsi, a beautiful woman with maternal and loving nature. 

"Oh, you know who's coming? It was your ex who gave three talents" Yuni whispered in Ngarsinah's ear.
