Namira's throat felt choked to hear Alena's words. He could not understand why his sister-in-law had suddenly accused him of lying. Though all this time he felt he had never lied to Alena in the slightest.
"What do you mean Alena? I don't understand" Namira replied trying to find clarity from the question that Alena had just asked.
"No need to pretend anymore! I already know everything" Alena said a little harshly because of her anger with her sister-in-law. He feels that Namira has been hiding her relationship with Alvan all this time.
"I really don't understand what you mean, Alena" Namira said with a puzzled look on her face.
"Why didn't Namira tell me about Alvan's brother and sister's past? isn't that the same as covering it up from me? and that means Namira's brother lied to me?!" reply Alena with a lot of emphasis in every sentence she says.
"Enough Alena, you don't know anything. So don't talk like that!" Rafka who was in one room with them seemed to not accept the accusations of his sister to Namira. He felt Namira was not entirely at fault in this.
"What's? so Rafka's sister is more belain him than me?!" the girl seemed to be unable to accept Rafka's defense of Namira. He felt that it was too unfair for him.
"So don't mind anyone Alena, you just talk according to the facts!" Rafka is still trying to give her sister some understanding.
Instead of understanding, Alena even more angry with her biological brother. He thinks Rafka loves Namira more than his own sister. It could be seen from Alena's reddened eyes and the rhythm of the breath in her chest that looked up and down.
"Let me just be clear that all are the same Alena, Raf" between Namira trying to mediate the debate between the two brothers.
"But Namira, he has no right to say that to you" Rafka exclaimed.
"Don't Raf, Alena has the right to express her opinion and also express her heart" Namira tried her best not to hurt her sister-in-law more.
Rafka fell silent, unable to argue his wife's words anymore. He just looked towards Namira and Alena without saying anything more.
"Alena's.. I have absolutely no intention of lying to you! I didn't tell you everything out of fear that it would hurt you" Namira said.
"Omong empty!! I don't believe your words anymore! you're evil!" Alena could not hold back her anger anymore, now the call of SISTER who is usually pinned in front of her name has disappeared along with the respect that was also lost, after Alena knew about all the truth.
"I beg you, listen to my explanation first, Alena!"
"nothing needs to be explained anymore, because everything is very clear. Now you better get out of here! go!!" Alena's emotions are mounting, and she vents all her anger by rebuking her sister-in-law.
"Alena! watch your words! Why are you being so rude like that?! you're not like the Alena I know" Rafka got carried away with her emotions as well.
"just keep defending him, brother! i. .." Suddenly Alena held her head firmly as if she was in a terrible pain in that part.
"why are you Alena?" lirih Namira with anxiety clearly visible on her face while holding Alena's fingers tightly.
"Just call the doctor first!" Rafka then ran out of the room to call the doctor. So panicked, he forgot the function of the emergency button that has been provided there.Till still call the doctor manually as he does today.
"You're patient, Alena, the doctor will be here!" Namira still continues to be beside Alena with trembling hands due to worrying about the condition of her sister-in-law who looks very painful.
"forgive me Alena, I made you a gini!" namira's tears dripped down her cheeks. He felt so guilty about Alena. She assumed it was because of her that Alena could get to such pain.
Doctors warned her not to allow Alena to think too hard to cause stress, because it would greatly affect her health. But accidentally all this trouble came, and it must have put a lot of pressure on Alena's mind.
Moments later, a doctor who used to handle Alena came along with the nurses who followed behind her. And the doctor asked Rafka and Namira to come out before treating the patient.
Namira and Rafka come out of Alena's ward with raging thoughts. Right now they are both very worried about Alena's condition, they are afraid that if something bad happens to the girl.
"it's all because of me, Rafka. I'm the one who caused Alena to be like that!" Namira was still crying, regretting what she had done.
"no Namira. I'm the one who should be blamed, because I asked Alvan to accompany Alena. If I didn't ask him to do it, surely none of this would have happened" Rafka went along to blame himself as well, just like Namira.
"No Raf, what Alena said was true. I am the most guilty. I should have been honest and told about all my past to be with him from the beginning so that this misunderstanding wouldn't happen!"
"That doesn't matter anymore, Namira. Now all that matters is that we pray for Alena to get through this well" Rafka tries to calm Namira down.
They both felt guilty and worried about Alena. But Rafka thought if each other blamed themselves, it would never end. And it's also useless, because everything has already happened.
*Oh my god, please save Alena. Please give her healing, God..
Everything that happened to Alena was my fault, and I wouldn't be able to forgive myself until something bad happened to Alena..*
In his heart, Namira always prayed for the recovery of his sister-in-law. Even though his lips had no voice, but in his heart he continued to blame himself for everything that happened to Alena.
While Rafka secretly also regretted the step he took. He regretted having complied with Alena's request to bring him together with Alvan.
If he hadn't taken the man there, maybe none of this would have happened. Yes, that's regret, it always comes at the end and there's never an excuse.
