Chapter 10 Papa's request

"With Mr Pramana's family!" The voice of the doctor who was handling papa Namira called after he finished doing his job.

Two women of different generations sitting not far from the ICU room rushed to the doctor.they wanted to immediately find out the current condition of men who are just as important to them, who is lying there now.

"we're his family doc, I'm his daughter and this is my mama. How is my papa doctor?" Namira can't wait to find out about his papa's condition. Same with mama Namira.

"pak Pramana has passed his critical period, but now he is still under the influence of drugs.we just wait until he wakes up later, how the next development" explained the doctor with glasses, the doctor said, that made Namira and her mother able to breathe a little relieved.

The mother and daughter both thanked him simultaneously for hearing the good news that the doctor brought.

"can we see him doc?" mama Namira asked impatiently.

"preferably one person who enters, later if Mr. Pramana has been moved in the usual care room, then it can be free in the nose" the doctor explained.

"well doc, thank you" said the mother and son in unison.

Because only one person was allowed to enter, Namira's mother finally entered the room, because she was the most entitled to it. namira chose to wait in the long chair that was available around the room.

A few hours later papa Namira was able to be moved to a regular nursing room because his condition had begun to stabilize. But the doctor told me not to make Mr. Pramana in shock because it would be very dangerous for the man's health.

"how is papa? is your dad feeling better?" Namira asked by holding his papa arm.

"are you okay Namira?" instead of answering, the man lying weakly asked his daughter a question with a sad look.

"Namira is fine, why do you ask me that?" Namira frowned not understanding.

Mr. Pramana took a long breath. His eyes looked at the ceiling of the room as if he was thinking of something. His mind glared far away thinking about his daughter's future.

"papa just wants you to be happy Namira" said Mr. Pramana in a slightly restrained voice.

"Namira was happy, Namira was happy to have a good father like papa" comforted the woman to try to calm her father.

"marry Namira" said Mr. Pramana suddenly who made Namira widen his eyes.

"sorry Namira pa, Namira can't continue the relationship with Alvan anymore" he said carefully.

"papa wants someone to take care of you if papa is no longer in this world" said Mr. Pramana managed to make Namira shed tears, as well as mama Namira.

"don't say it like that, Dad, you're sure to get better and healthier than ever" Namira said stammeringly.

"father was afraid that papa's age would not be long and could not watch the wedding of this dear daughter" the man seemed to hold back tears. He doesn't want to look weak in front of his wife and kids.

"papa didn't ask you to marry that man. He doesn't deserve to be with you at all"

"then you mean papa?"

"papa wants you to marry another man.he is the son of the late friend of papa" Mr. Pramana seemed to sigh like he was enduring the pain. On the other hand, he was also very worried about the condition of his father.

"actually it has been a long time papa wants to match you with him, but because you have chosen Alvan, then papa undo the intention" Mr. Pramana continued his sentence that had been cut earlier.

Namira did not expect that her papa would ask for it when her condition was bad like this. Of course he will not be able to refuse the request, because for Namira the health of his papa is the most important.

But he has to keep doing it because he knows that his best friend's son is the best for Namira. And one day he will be happy with his chosen man.

The father and daughter embraced each other. Sharing the sadness mixed happy that mixed into one. Papa Namira is happy because Namira will finally be with the right man for him, while Namira feels sad because she has to marry a man she does not love.

Mama Namira could only look at the two people she loved with sadness. He can't do anything to change things. All he could do was pray for their good and happiness.

Actually mama Namira has long known her husband's intention to match their son. But after seeing Namira happily living her relationship with Alvan, her husband never talked about it again.
