Xian decided to approach Master Shen politely. He stepped closer to the wise man and saluted him respectfully. "Teacher Shen, I am a nomad who came with the hope to learn from you. I'm very impressed with the style of water silat you teach and the philosophy you espouse."
Teacher Shen smiled gently and saluted in reply. "Welcome, young man. I'm Master Shen, and I'm glad to see your passion for silat. How can I help you?"
Xian explained his intention to learn from Master Shen and become his disciple. He also mentioned that he had spoken to one of the disciples who had given permission to bring him here.
Teacher Shen nodded. "I'm glad to hear that. There are no special conditions for being my student other than passion and dedication. However, I would like to remind you that the silat water style we teach here includes aspects of happiness and balance. You must be prepared to integrate these principles in your practice."
Xian smiled enthusiastically. "I'm ready, Teacher Shen. I believe that silat is not only about physical strength, but also about wisdom and inner peace."
Master Shen gave a temptation to Xian and replied, "That is a wise thought, young man. Congratulations, you are now my student. Let's start your first lesson tomorrow morning."
Xian felt happy and grateful for this opportunity. He saluted Master Shen and thanked him for his willingness to accept him as a disciple. Over the next few weeks, Xian will pursue water magic with his passionate disciples, while continuing to pursue happiness and balance in his life.
Xian began studying with Teacher Shen at the Han Sang Silat Center. Every morning, they gathered at the training area near the rushing waterfall. Although this exercise was serious, Master Shen had a friendly and humorous attitude that kept the atmosphere pleasant.
One morning, while Xian was practicing basic movements, he found it difficult to maintain balance over the rushing water flow. He nearly fell down a few times, which made the other disciples laugh. However, Master Shen only smiled and approached Xian.
"Remember, young man," Master Shen said in a friendly tone, "The balance in the body is as important as the balance in the mind. If you can keep both of them, you will become a strong and wise cultivator."
Xian tried hard to understand this lesson, but he felt somewhat frustrated by his initial failure. Teacher Shen looked at his facial expression and suddenly made a joke that changed everyone's mood.
"Teacher," Xian asked, "Is humor also part of this silat style?"
Teacher Shen laughed cheerfully. "of course! Life is about finding happiness at every step. Humor is one of the best ways to keep our spirits up and keep us away from excessive tension."
Hearing that, Xian felt lighter-hearted. He began to see that Master Shen's lesson was not only about physical movement, but also about wisdom in everyday life. As the practice continued, Master Shen continued to make entertaining jokes and anecdotes, keeping the atmosphere cheerful.
One day, while the other disciples were practicing seriously, Master Shen approached Xian with a serious expression on his face. "I have a serious question for you, young man," he said.
Xian is ready to listen. "What is it, Master Shen?"
Xian looked at Teacher Shen in surprise. "I'm not sure, Teacher. Why?"
Teacher Shen smiled widely. "Because there are too many dirty players there!"
Xian laughed out loud, along with the other disciples who heard the joke. Teacher Shen quickly put the training atmosphere back into seriousness, but Xian realized that humor was an integral part of their philosophy here.
The exercise over the slippery waterfall became one of Xian's favorite moments during training at the Han Sang Silat Center. Every morning, they would gather there, facing the rushing waterfall with determination to maintain balance. Although this exercise was quite difficult, the atmosphere was always filled with laughter and joking.
That morning, Xian stood on the edge of the waterfall, ready to try the exercise. He closely watched how the other disciples were trying to keep their balance. Some succeed, while others fall into the water with less than good success.
Master Shen, who was standing on the sidelines with a smile, looked at all of them. "Remember, young men," he said in a soft voice, "balance is the key in everything. Both in silat and in everyday life. Try again, and don't be afraid to fall."
Xian took a deep breath and stepped forward. He felt a rushing waterfall hit his leg as he tried to maintain balance. But as soon as he felt somewhat stable, he began to move forward cautiously.
But as has happened before, that balance is so slippery and hard to maintain. Xian fell into the water with a rather timid success. He emerged from within the waterfall laughing, along with the other disciples who were also laughing.
Teacher Shen with a smile commanded, "Try again, young man. No one can control the balance overnight. What matters is your passion to keep learning."
Xian tried again and again, each time falling into the water with increasingly loud laughter. But he didn't feel desperate. Instead, he felt even more enthusiastic about overcoming this challenge.
The moment arrived, when Xian managed to keep a balance above the waterfall for a few seconds. Laughing happily, he shouted, "I made it!"
Everyone was excited to see Xian's achievement. They gave him applause and advice to maintain that balance. Xian felt very happy and confident.
This practice continues with laughter and jokes. Each disciple tried their best to keep their balance, and whenever anyone fell, they comforted each other with laughter and support. This is not only a physical exercise, but also an exercise to maintain enthusiasm and happiness in the face of adversity.
The morning ended with Master Shen giving wise advice to all of his students. "Balancing in life is the key to achieving true happiness" she says. "Keep practicing, both in silat and in everyday life. And never be afraid to laugh, even in the face of adversity."
All the disciples nodded, feeling inspired by Master Shen's words. They know that this exercise is just one part of their long journey in search of balance and happiness in life.
