Xian shook his head with a smile. "We have to keep our focus, May. These mountains are full of danger, and we mustn't let our guard down."

However, their conversation was suddenly interrupted by a noise from a distance. The two of them noticed that the voice was getting closer, and soon, a group of cultivators appeared from behind the trees.

The leader of the group, a green-robed man with a sharp gaze, spoke to Mei and Xian. "I'm sorry we're interrupting, but we're looking for a powerful source of spiritual energy that's said to be nearby."

Xian replied, "We don't know what you're talking about. We're just passing through these mountains on our way."

Mei added, "We don't even know about the spiritual energy source you mentioned."

The green-robed man nodded. "I understand. Sorry for the confusion. We'll search for it ourselves. Thanks for the cooperation."

Xian brought his face closer to Mei's face, making her feel a little nervous. "Here," he said with a wily glance, then quickly kissed Mei's cheek before stepping back and laughing.

Mei was surprised and felt her cheeks heat up. He grunted annoyedly. "Xian, stop with your ridiculous behavior."

But Xian still continued to laugh. "What, you don't like my superpowers?"

Mei shook her head, but she also gave a small smile. Xian could always make her smile, even in a stressful situation like this.
