JIWO PROMISE

JIWO PROMISE
Asa

Two months after their conversation that night Jiwo actually left for Korea. Together with six colleagues, he occupies the office of a company representative who cooperates with one of the mining companies in Korea.

The days before their departure are full of various training schedules to launch jobs and communication in the destination country.

Jiwo only had a free time two days before the day of his departure and chose to return to Jogja, meeting his mother and brothers.

He would part with them in a matter of years. At least he wants to make a few memories with his family as provisions for him to wander far into the land of people.

And the VC with Witri was also her mama on the sidelines every day before her departure.

It was hard to decide to go that far. But the family's encouragement that convinced him that the mother would always be in their care, as well as the spirit of Witri made Jiwo lighter to leave the homeland.

Moreover, JIwo is well aware that he has not been able to realize his mother's one big desire, which is to get married.

The flashback

**************

"Mom will be waiting longer for you to get married, Wo" said Mother when they were both in the kitchen. Jiwo is enjoying the vegetables bobor hanging his mother's cooking, with the aroma of basil leaves that please Indra smell.

"Makanya mom promises to be healthy huh. Pray after I come from Korea I can bring a potential daughter-in-law for Mom" Jiwo said with a smile. Obviously there is a face Witri who last night just VC with him.

"You want to marry a Korean woman?!" ask his mother in surprise. Jiwo swallowed his food quickly as he waved his hand to say 'not' to his mother.

"No. I love Indonesian, Mom. Take it easy." Jiwo said later. His mother smiled with relief.

"If you can choose, I want to have an Indonesian ghost just to be able to chat. If my man is a foreigner, confused to talk, Wo. It could be Tarzan your mother later if you want to talk" said Mother while chuckling.

"Nyuwun pandongane Ibu mawon nggih (please pray Mother yes) may my soul mate in the country. Hopefully speaking of kromo (fine Javanese) is also the same mother" said Jiwo again smiling.

Mom looked expectantly at Jiwo.

"Do you have a candidate? Child here? Who, Wo? Why didn't you apply first? Or invite marriage so you can take it to Korea" said the mother bertubi-tubi.

Jiwo smiled after sipping his drink.

"One-one Lady. Very excited." ledek Jiwo while laughing deliberately teasing his mother who sparkled twinkle.

Ah Jiwo felt guilty when he saw the hopeful twinkle in his mother's eyes. It turns out that her marriage may have been very much expected by her mother. Unfortunately he has not been able to realize his mother's expectations in the near future.

O Allah, let us and extend our age so that the servant can realize the hope of Mother and see her smile happily in my happy day.

"Which child?" asked his mother again in a patient voice even though from the look of his eyes it seemed so enthusiastic waiting for a story from him.

Jiwo little thought to weigh between going to tell a story or save first about his romance. He was afraid that his mother would be disappointed if it turned out that everything was not as expected.

"The origin of Java, too, ma'am. Jogja. But we are not in a relationship anyway, Mom" Jiwo finally said.

"Well?! Piye to kowe ki, who? (lh?! How the hell are you, Wo?)" ask Mom with a slightly disappointed face.

Jiwo looked at his mother with a worried look. He had almost forgotten he didn't know for sure what his mother thought of him marrying a widow. Although for him it does not matter at all, but we can not close our eyes to the fact that the status of a prospective ghost must be a consideration also for parents.

Duh!

Do I know what Mom thinks now?

Yeah, just now.

"I haven't asked my mom about her status. I'm afraid Mom objected to her status. That's why I'm silent first." Jiwo finally said by shedding his eyes.

I swear, his heart was half dead waiting for his mother's reaction.

"Status?" mother's face suddenly stiffened. It seems he immediately knew what Jiwo said about the status.

"She..not a girl?" ask Ibu lirih. In his heart actually hoped that this question would get a denial from Jiwo. But it turned out that his son nodded while looking at him dimly.

There was something in his heart. It doesn't hurt, just a little disappointed.

Why would a good boy love a widow? Did the woman approach Jiwo with good intentions? Or is there bad intent with the good that is in Jiwo?

Astagfirullahaladzim apos...

"Yes. She.janda..." Jiwo stopped his speech when his gaze met with the shocked look of his mother even though his face looked ordinary.

"Wanda..why?" ask Mom later.

"His husband died a few months ago." replied Jiwo lirih.

"Just a few months ago and want to be with you?!" ask Mom surprised.

"No!" answer Jiwo quickly. Jiwo believes his mother misunderstood and must have thought this widow was nervous.

Well, it could be this mess.

"I liked him since childhood, Mom." said Jiwo finally chose to tell a complete story without anything he covered again.

His love story that was only Mbak Rini who knew, now he also told his mother.

"It is true that you give her husband up to a thousand days. It's better that way for everyone." said Mother at last. His face looked relieved. Jiwo is very grateful for that. It is certain that his mother did not object to Witri's status.

Alhamdulillahot.

Flashback off

**************

Jiwo further solidified his intention to propose Witri after returning from Korea later.

He also hopes that economic conditions will be stronger after his return from Korea.

There is already a plan in his mind to make a business as an investment before he enters the 'retirement' period later.

He wants to enjoy the old days in safe and comfortable economic conditions. Therefore, as long as he is still able to do things that make halal money, as much as possible he will do for the convenience of his old days with his family later

...🍁🍁🍁🍁...

Witri had just sat back in her chair as her phone rang.

"From that moment the sound kept coming" said Lucia from the opposite table.

"I'm sorry if it bothers me" Witri said with a shy smile.

Witri picked up the call from Nadi.

"Assalamualaikum.yes, Who?" ask Witri.

"Wa'alaikumussalam's chat...Sorry to disturb. In WA from earlier did not answer" said Nadi.

"So meeting. I live at the table" explained Witri.

"What time does content control change?" ask Nadi to the point.

"Hour seventy thirty, Bang. I was able to confirm it from the clinic" replied Witri.

"OK. I'll be anther. I went straight to your house" Nadi said later.

"I'm off on my own with Mamak no papa, Bang. Brother just rest" said Witri meant to refuse subtly.

"If it's not malem don't papa you go alone. But you'll be gone by night. I just take it all to calm down." said Nadi firmly rejected the event of Witri's refusal.

"Yes, that's it." replied Witri surrendered. He was males arguing because in the end Nadi would still do what he had said.

Some time interacting with Nadi, Witri can already read the character of the man.

A little stiff indeed, but she always applies as a standby force that accompanies her pregnancy.

Every day Nadi asks him about what he wants to eat or what he wants in connection with his cravings.

As much as possible Witri does not want to trouble Nadi about his cravings. In addition to condolences, Witri also feels responsibility about her pregnancy is not at all an obligation of Nadi.

It should be a responsible day and he bothered about his cravings. But because the Day has come home, then fully the obligation as much as possible he took and lived alone.

But that does not mean Nadi then does not play a role in the success of his cravings.

Often even the man who managed to fulfill his cravings about food that sometimes difficult he can suddenly bring him home.

Of course the role of Mamak that runs here. When Nadi did not get a satisfactory answer from him, the man would happily ask Mamak. And Mamak will be happy to talk about what he wants.

After all, actually Witri is a bit afraid to go out at night without a man. The neighborhood is quite crowded, but crowded by men who usually hang out and Witri is uncomfortable with greetings that are sometimes annoying.

Lucky fitting first to check the contents to the clinic, he can hours after the office, so go home directly to the clinic and until the home fitting adzan magrib.

But since yesterday he forgot to register early, today he got a seven-thirty-night check schedule.

As promised earlier, Nadi had appeared in front of the house with his car when the Adzan isya was reverberating.

As soon as Mamak opened the door, the man hurried to say goodbye to the mosque.

Nadi reappeared when Witri and Mamak were ready to leave.

"Is everyone ready?" asked Nadi with a slight smile as soon as it passed the front door.

As far as Witri is concerned, Nadi is like that. Never smile broadly in front of a young woman. It is different if he is dealing with a child or a parent. He can be very friendly and cheerful.

"It has. You want to eat first?" tawar Mamak's.

"No, Mother. Thanks though. Had eaten." refused Nadi finished drinking in one gulp.

Witri's habit understood. If direct drinking is spent like this, usually Nadi will not come down when driving him home.

"Yes yuk yuk we leave." invited Nadi after glancing at his watch. There are twenty minutes to reach the clinic. Enough for the road and re-registration before the specified clock schedule.

"When's your maternity wardrobe shopping plan, Wit?" tanya Nadi after a while the car began to run there was no conversation between the three.

Witri was a little surprised by the question. She doesn't even think about shopping for maternity clothes.

Geez, why not think about buying maternity clothes for the office?

"Later to buy it online, Bang. Easy." replied Witri finally.

"If you want to go to the store, say. I'll be anther. All mamak streets. Yes,Mak?" tawar Nadi while looking at Mamak from the middle spy.

"Mamak anyway stay follow how Witri wants." replied Mamak with a smile.

Witri is back.

Several months Mamak with him had never taken a walk. The furthest route Mamak only self-service is five minutes from home with a motorbike. The rest of Mamak is just a walk if you want to shop anything to the nearest stall.

"Tomorrow Sunday I have no activity from the morning. If you want to take the road, tell me" said Nadi later.

"Yes." replied Witri slowly.

Why is this man so close to his life? Actually what makes this widower seem to want to play a role in replacing the obligations of Hari?

And why do Mamak also seem to not mind if Nadi approached them like this?

Don't-don't Mamak there's an intention to match him with Nadi.

Yes ampuuuun ..what the heck, Wit? Unknowingly Witri patted her forehead.

"Why?" ask Nadi surprised.

"With.no papa, Bang." replied Witri while grinning in shame."Inget chat in the office earlier." continued Witri lying.

"Cirain is dizzy or what." muttered Nadi as he looked back at the streets.

"Don't most of the thoughts are vague. Mending to dzikir let Aksa be a calm child" said Nadi while looking at Witri.

"Yes.." replied Witri slowly.

He should have said that to his father Aksa...

"Sorry if I bring it." said Nadi after a moment of silence.

"No papa. Can bring good begels." said Mamak because Witri only answered with a nod.

Witri was only able to breathe out slowly.
