JIWO PROMISE

JIWO PROMISE
Jiwo Promise

Jiwo immediately smiled as he saw Wildan waving his hand as he hurried to pick up his steps.

While his right hand shook his hand, Wildan grabbed the small bag in Jiwo's hand with his left hand.

"Say the only one who wants to pick me up. How come you picked it up?". asked Jiwo while turning a little towards Wildan.

The boy was already above his height now.

"Bocahe in raggah ra tangi-gang. Nganti Mas Ranu Kesel.(his son in the building does not get up. Until Mas Ranu is tired). Good thing I'm home again" Wildan said with an annoyed face.

"How long are you at home?" jiwo asked in the middle of their journey.

Wildan has just become a freshman at a public university in Jakarta. He's coming home because of a long holiday.

"Yes during the holidays, Mas. Back there tomorrow if you go to college less than two days." replied Wildan relaxed.

"Here's a free meal, huh?" ledek Jiwo who welcomed Wildan's naughtiness.

"Hopefully my next vacation doesn't come home, Mas. Want to follow up on part-time work if you can" Wildan said later.

"It's good that way. Any work that is important is halal and should not beat your college time. Your main goal now to Jakarta will be to go to college first." Jiwo's advice was greeted by Wildan's left thumbs sign agreed.

"Later stop by the rice Padang yes, Mas.Laper me, from the morning have not eaten." ask Wildan once they have crossed towards their home.

Jiwo just slapped Wildan's shoulder.

"You if I go home deliberately not breakfast so can ask for rice snacks Padang huh?" ledek Jiwo while hurrying to sit on Wildan's puppet who grimaced in shame because his bully sense was discovered.

"Let's just pay ngojek, Mas." kelit Wildan to close the shame.

"Price for the fall of your motorcycle fare." said Jiwo while looking to the left because the motorbike will enter the highway.

Crossing Solo Street always makes Jiwo's heart warm.

Moreover, every passing through her first SD.Place for the first time she met and felt in love with little Witri.

Hhhhhhh.he is always directly in ambush longs then then his heart grimaces bitterly.

No more than ten minutes motorbike driven Wildan has entered the side porch of the house.

Padang rice snack plan failed because the intended stall was closed until tomorrow.

"So buy no meatballs, Mas?" ask Wildan as soon as Jiwo gets off the bat.

Jiwo glared at his sister.

"You guys haven't come down from the bike yet." Wildan said with a chuckle and moved his palm up.

Jiwo reached into his wallet and put a few pieces of money will buy meatballs with a hard tabbed into the palm of Wildan's hand.

"Piro's tribe, Mas? (Buy how much,Mas?)" wildan asked while staring at the money in his hands which was quite a lot.

We can be sure the rest of the payment for the purchase of meatballs is his.

"That's a good thing how many people are in the house. Ngono w isih takon. Kakean your urip bases, Dan.( Most of the bases of your life, Dan)" replied Jiwo while moving in while carrying a small bag containing several sheets of his clothes.

In front of the living room door he saw his mother had already walked quickly towards him from the inside.

"Alhamdulillah has arrived.Current trip earlier, Wo?" asked his mother while receiving Jiwo salim.

"Alhamdulillah smoothly, ma'am. Healthy to, Mom?" jiwo asked while holding his mother's shoulder to come into the room in the front. The usual public room Jiwo or Wildan or Pamungkas occupied when going home to his mother.

"Ki jan Wildan...Tegesan ra discarded (Wildan, cigarette butts are not discarded)." Jiwo grumbled when he saw some cigarette butts perched on the ashtray.

Jiwo who is not a smoker is always upset every time he sees it.

His mother rushed to grab the ashtray on the small table and threw the cigarette butts through the open window.

"Mother hasn't cooked. In a moment, yes if you want to eat." said his mother while staring at Jiwo who was busy removing the contents of his bag on the mattress.

"Wildan again bought meatballs. We'll eat meatballs first. Our mom's cooking is for dinner, right?" said Jiwo who greeted a happy nod of his mother.

Meatballs are my favorite food. But he never wanted to snack meatballs if not with Jiwo.

He would eat meatballs if it was bought from Jiwo's money.

It was a kind of vow from his past grudge at the bitterness of their lives just yet.

The flashback

**************

Jiwo was still TK B. Go home to play one afternoon whining to buy meatballs like his playmate earlier.

For their family life at that time, even though many are selling, but meatballs are a luxury food.

With a heavy heart and heart of pain Mother shook her head in rejecting little Jiwo's request.

The money in his wallet was really just enough to buy rice and tempeh for the next three days. Until Jiwo received another salary.

The boy had never asked for anything all this time. Even the pocket money.

Even to want to pass the Kindergarten school uniform for Jiwo was not able to buy Mother and the child did not whine. Still want to go to school even though he can never wear a uniform like his other friends.

And when it comes to whining like this, it is likely Jiwo has been very eager and may have been holding it for months.

"Mom don't have any money?" jiwo asked with a resigned and sad face. His eyes were already glazed over looking at his mother.

Mother nodded then carried Jiwo's body into her embrace.

By hugging Jiwo, Mother gave room for Jiwo to pour his tears without being seen by him.

"Expensive meatballs huh, Mom?" ask Jiwo lirih. It clearly sounded on the sling of his restraint.

"Not expensive. But Mother who does not have the money to buy.Excuse me yes, Le." replied Mother softly while stroking Jiwo's hair.

Jiwo nodded small on his mother's shoulder.

"Tomorrow if I am big and have worked I want to buy a lot of meatballs. Mommy wants meatballs too? Tomorrow I buy it too." asked Jiwo still behind his mother's head after he wiped her tears.

"Now...I want you to buy it, Le. I pray that you will have a lot of money so that you can serve a lot of meatballs. Let it be possible to breastfeed Mother meatballs too." said Mother with a smile even though a tear also shed along with her speech.

And that afternoon, still in the arms of his mother Jiwo promised, later if he could work and get a salary, Mom was the first person he would eat meatballs with his salary money.

And that promise could finally come to pass a few dozen years later.

At that time Jiwo had returned home from his PKL who had received a salary and with his mother he was serving meatballs at a stall across the street in one afternoon.

Really intentionally just alone with his mother to fulfill his promise.

While his younger brothers he gave the pocket money to go to the snack itself.

And it was only in the afternoon that he could see his mother eating very quietly but looking ravenously enjoying without being seen to bear the burden of the mind.

And when he saw that Jiwo promised again. Mother was the first person she would give a gift from the results of her sweat.

And Jiwo has been able to give his mother the gift of a house now.

Flashback off

**************

"Mom, I signed up for umroh?" tawar Jiwo while looking at his mother expectantly.

His mother stared at Jiwo in disbelief.

"Spirits?" ask Mom in a doubtful voice.

Setting foot in the holy land of Mecca should be the mind of every Muslim. But for Mother Jiwo all this time it is the ideals that will only hang in the clouds only. Unachievable.

But what Jiwo just offered seemed to slap the mind about the impossibility.

"I purposely mourned for Umrah's mother. Now the money is enough for the mother to leave Umrah. You want it, Mom?" haggard Jiwo again.

I could only stare at Jiwo. His tears were already pouring into his cheeks which had already begun to be decorated with wrinkles.

"Why is it always Iibu that you think about anyway, Le? When do you think of yourself?" mother asked as she stepped closer and then hit Jiwo's chest.

"Mother is happy enough.Think about yourself. You have helped your brothers enough. You have to mourn for yourself.Make your wife and children later." said the mother while gently stroking the arms of her beloved child.

"I also moult for myself, Bu.Take it easy. The important thing is that you always pray for me, pray for other children as well so that we can live better and can always love you" Jiwo said with a smile.

"Mom always prays for you all. May you live much better than before." said Mother while wiping her tears.

"So would you like me to register Umrah? Mumpung there is a meeting there." persuade Jiwo again.

"Who?" ask her mother to be curious.

"Pakde and Bude Jiman. They are waiting for Mom's answer to let her list go together" Jiwo said with a persuasive look.

"You, Wo's leaving. I can't keep bothering you. Using your sweat money all the time. This house was the one you bought for Mom. Now umroh also for Mom. Your money is used a lot for the pleasure of Mother" said Mother Jiwo still trying to refuse.

"Because my fortune belongs to my mother at any time. Please accept this, Mom.Mumpung I am still alone and can still nyenengin Mom.Later if I already have a wife, not necessarily I can do this again. Tomorrow I will refuse for the same reason my wife, my son." jiwo urged expectantly.

Jiwo's mother looked confused.

Go umroh of course he wants and of course happy if he can do it. But when he returned to remember the amount of money that Jiwo had to spend for his happiness, Mother shook her head in unbearable.

As long as Jiwo became his son, it never felt like Jiwo he was happy.

The child is always lacking and concerned.

But his son is now always trying to shower him with happiness.

Mom shy.

As a parent, I am ashamed of my child.

"Mother must go umrah. Later there you can pray for all of us to get there. There you can pray for us more kusyu' to be quickly granted. A mother's prayer is always answered. Pray for us all there. Yes,Bu?" bring Jiwo back.

Mother raised her gaze.

Jiwo smiled. It seems like his persuasion this time will work.

"Yes. Mom wants. I want to pray for all my children in Baitullah." replied the mother at last.

"Alhamdulillah.." said Jiwo with twinkling eyes.

"Look,Le...Thanks." said Jiwo's mother back crying haru.

"The same, Mom." replied Jiwo while stroking his mother's back.
