JIWO PROMISE

JIWO PROMISE
Day Conditions

Entering the ICU room which was colder than the room temperature outside earlier, Witri reflexed his hands on his chest.

He's not wearing warm clothes. The one attached to his body was still the clothes he wore to work all day. A sheet of blouse and cloth trousers.

Witri sat on a chair beside the patient's bed.

Her eyes did not look away from her husband's face.

"What are you dreaming about?" whispered Witri while gently touching Hari's arm.

She was afraid of touching other parts of her husband's body. Afraid that there will be injuries there.

"Let's get up, Mas. You don't pity me if I'm cold here? My clothes are thin gini... Let's just get out of here. I'll keep you but not in this room. I don't like it." whispered Witri with trembling lips holding back a cry.

Witri hid her tears that broke again by closing her lips together as tightly as possible so that her stuffing did not come out of her lips.

He must be strong. No one accompanied him here. There are no relatives near them. He must be strong for himself.

Witri had already started to get cold in the ICU room when she saw that Day's eyelids were moving, the longer it was getting faster.

"Mas.." called Witri softly though still unable to hide the tone of his relief.

"Wake up?" witri asked with a smile when she saw Hari's eyeballs glancing at her.

"Tight.." said Hari softly and seemed to have difficulty breathing.

Witri panicked to see that.

"Se... for a moment, Mas.I called the doctor first" said Witri immediately darted into the doctor's guard room in front of his room.

Before long a doctor and a male nurse came in and checked Hari's condition.

"Well, why, Doc?" asked Witri impatiently because he saw that Hari seemed to be struggling trying to scoop up as much air as possible.

Dada Witri also feels tight.

"Can we talk to you for a second, ma'am?" ask the doctor after he finishes checking on Hari.

"In a moment, I said to my husband first" said Witri who was then replied to a nod by the doctor before he left the room.

"Still tight?" ask Witri while approaching her chair so that she can talk more slowly on Hari.

"still. But it's quite breathable." replied Hari with a smile at her.

"My body hurts all when it moves. What's the matter, Jeng?" tanya Hari lirih's.

"There's a brake blong and then hit the motor. The motor is thrown and hits you." replied Witri with glassy eyes. He couldn't imagine what it was like to be thrown by a motorbike. Must be all body aches today. I don't know how sick it feels.

"I think I'm dead." murmured Hari while chuckling.

"Don't say anything! I don't like it!" frowning Witri with a chest that rippled restlessly.

"Thank God I can see you again. I'm grinning." said Hari later who even made Witri cry.

"You need to heal quickly so you can see me. Promise!" witri said in between the sobbing.

Day only smiled and grimaced as the move intended to grab Witri's cheek.

"Don't move first. Your bones are broken he said" said Witri with a worried look.

"You're waiting for the doctor, right?" tanya Day later.

"I don't want to leave you alone" said Witri worriedly.

"I'm not papa, honey. Meet the doctor first let me quickly know what my condition is. Let the spit be diobatin." said Hari reassuring Witri.

"Yes already. I'll go to the doctor for a second. Don't move. Anteng aja." message Witri before rushing to the doctor's room and Hari just replied with a nod.

He hopes he will not be in the doctor's room for long so that he can accompany Hari again.

Knocking on the door of the doctor's room twice, Witri was immediately invited in by a middle-aged female doctor who seemed to know less how to smile.

Inner Witri smiled wryly. He thought that what he was going to see was the doctor who had checked out Hari. Apparently not.

Without further ado, the doctor explained that Hari's shoulder blade and one rib were broken. Then an operation will be carried out tomorrow. In addition, it is also said that next to Hari's lungs experience shrinkage due to a hard impact, and that causes Day shortness of breath. For that, action will also be taken.

Will be seen tomorrow, what actions will be done by the doctor first. Viewed more urgent first though maybe the action will still be done on the same day.

"Why don't you do something from now on, Doc? Tonight maybe?" asked Witri with a huff.

"Today's surgery schedule is full until the end of the day, ma'am." replied the doctor with a visibly irritated face.

"If referred to another hospital what condition my husband allows for it, Doc?" asked Witri not to care about the doctor's cloudy face.

"If that is what we have to negotiate first with some doctors" said the doctor with a face that looks reluctant.

"How long can I know the doctor's team's decision?" chasing Witri again made the doctor's face even more upset.

"I can't tell you for sure, Mom. Because not all doctors are in the current location." replied the doctor with a grunt and tone that began to rise.

Witri. His heart is so beautiful.

Her husband is not okay and he can't do anything. The only one who can help him why act like this? It was as if the safety and life of a human could wait for them to have time to handle it. Why meet with a doctor like this at a crucial time like this?

"So the certainty that I can get right now is that my husband's handling will be done tomorrow?" ask Witri later. There was clearly a look of disappointment on his face and the look in his eyes.

"Yes." replied the doctor while tidying up the file on his desk.

"When exactly did the doctor know?" asked Witri then who was replied with an annoyed look of the doctor.

"I'm not an operating schedule maker, Bu. Please ask the part that takes care of it" said the doctor with a sadistic glance.

Witri's heartache. Why should it be like that to the patient's family? Even if you have to answer negative, it can not jutek so.

"To what part can I know the schedule, Doc?" asked Witri who finally got upset as well.

His heart slipped as the doctor in front of him clearly slammed the file in his hand deliberately. The doctor looked very annoyed at Witri.

"To the administration there" said the doctor, puffing and his eyes seemed to be dislodged from his place.

"Yes. Thanks, Doc. Excuse me." said Witri then hurried to stand up a little rudely pushing the chair then closed the door of the doctor's room with half slamming it.

Witri hurried to tidy up her face again before returning to meet Hari who looked closed.

"You're sleeping, Mas?" asked Witri while gently touching Witri's forehead.

"No." replied Hari as she opened her eyes and turned to him. His smile weakly adorned his lips.

"Where?" tanya Day later.

"Your ribs and shoulder blades are broken he said. Tomorrow's operation. The strong yes.." said Witri with eyes back glazed.

"Surely." replied Hari with a smile.

"But I like to be short of breath" said Hari again seemed to sting. Witri came back crying.

"Your lungs are shrinking because of a hard blow. Tomorrow will be handled. Be patient, Mas. You have to be strong." Pinta Witri is sobbing.

It is inconceivable how her husband can overcome his shortness of breath if it cannot be helped by the tool that is now stuck in his nose.

"I will try my best for you" said Hari slowly but with passion and hope in her eyes.

"Who else are you excited about?" tanya Witri tried to make the atmosphere a little carefree.

"Just like our son." replied Hari with a happy smile.

Witri was stunned by Hari's words.

Their kid? When was she pregnant?

"Mas, you..."

"You're late for the moon but you're not aware?" cut the Day that keeps Witri glued.

Iyeakah?

"I went to the pharmacy to buy a testpack for you. Will you wear it later? You are not pregnant" said Hari expectantly.

Witri just nodded while crying back.

It turned out that Day was wretched for him too.

Oh Allah...

"Where's clothes? Testpack I keep in my pants pocket. You take it." said Day later.

Witri only realized that he had not received the uniform that had been worn by Hari.

"I haven't received your clothes yet, Mas. I'll ask the nurse first." said Witri honestly.

"Search now only. Let me test you now." ask Hari with a half pushy look.

"Yes..."

"I'm not papa left for a while. Please.." pinta Hari begs.

"Yes" said Witri. Day smiled happily as her insistence was obeyed.

Witri rushed to leave Hari after previously saying goodbye to the nurse if he would come out for a while who was even told if he could call one more person to replace it while accompanying Hari.

Out of the ICU door, Witri's view was immediately pounded on Lilis Tea who was talking with her husband and Mr. Nadi.

"Teh.." call Witri who immediately received a warm hug from Lilis Tea.

"Don't be sad. The day will be fine. We will replace it always here with you" said Teh Lilis as she stroked Witri's back gently.

Witri's tears are back. This time because of the taste.

The brotherhood of fellow dormitory residents is very warm when one of the residents is in trouble.

Because they feel equally far from home and relatives in blood, they make their own bonds that are no less close and close like brothers.

Moreover, it happens that Witri and Hari are included as the youngest members of the dormitory. Seniors are increasingly paying attention to their own younger siblings.

"Why come out, Mommy? What day is the condition? Weren't we?" asked Mr. Nadi after the arms of the two women were unraveled.

"Thank God, sir." replied Witri with a smile.

"Alhamdulillah O Allah." greet the three men in a relieved tone.

"You're looking for the clothes that Mas wore today" Witri said later.

"There's a chair. For a moment I picked it up." said Teh Lilis rushing to the chair which was then followed by Witri.

Witri rushed to receive Hari's clothes pack and directly pointed to her pants pocket.

There goes. A plastic package contains a small package. Definitely this.

"That's what?" tanya Teh Lilis half-whispered while staring at the parcel in Witri's hand.

Witri just opened the plastic bag and showed Teh Lilis who then smiled widely.

"Don't say yes, Tea. Mas Maksa day I have to test now. I'll let him be cool." said Witri shyly.

"Hopefully the result is as you expect. Let the spirit of Hari be healed quickly." said Teh Lilis with a bright smile.

"Aamiinu. Thank you, Tea." said Witri with a smile.

Before returning to the ICU room, Witri had talked about the condition of Hari and the words and attitudes of the doctor he faced earlier.

"Let me talk to the hospital. You'll soon be with Day again. Poor." said Mr. Nadi later. Witri immediately nodded and went back in with a greeting from Teh Lilis and her husband who will be in front of the ICU room until 10 pm and will change tasks with other neighbors accordingly the deal they made before.
