Chapter #52 - Unexpected

"Dameleon..." Jibril could only murmur softly when he saw the woman he had been trying to forget reappearing before him. Jibril was in disbelief, hoping it was just a dream. However, Christie's voice calling Eliza's name made Jibril aware that it was all real.

"Jibril, come!" bring Christie.

Jibril could only slowly follow Christie, Jibril could not take his eyes off Eliza who was currently busy with the 4-year-old boy.

"We're going straight home, Chris. I'm really sleepy" said Eliza, whose eyes look pretty and sleepy.

"We went for coffee with my friend for a while" Christie replied.

"Friends? You said it was just a penny off" Eliza's words stopped when she saw who had come up from behind her sister-in-law. Eliza's two eyeballs were perfectly rounded, her heartbeat racing faster.

Is this a dream? or is it just hallucinations? However, Eliza knew it was all real when Christie introduced herself to the friend she meant. "El, this is Jibril. We just met on the plane." Eliza was at a loss for words to welcome the introduction, so was Jibril. He didn't even know what kind of fate game he could never guess.

"Oh yes, Jibril. This is the sister-in-law I told her, her name is Elizabeth," Christie chuckled without realizing the awkwardness that existed between Jibril and Eliza.

"And this is my daughter, her name is Ayesha Whitney, give her greetings, dear," Christie told Ayesha.

"Hello, Om. Hello, my name is Ayesha." Ayesha introduced herself so enthusiastically, she extended her hand to Jibril. It made Jibril's heart melt and his attention slightly diverted, he welcomed Ayesha's hand and introduced himself with a friendly smile.

"My name is Jibril, Ayesha. By the way, Ayesha's name is very pretty, as pretty as you are" Jibril praised.

"Oh, that name was Aunty Eliza's choice," Ayesha replied with a look, staring at her Tantenya who had just stared at Jibril without blinking an item.

"Hi." said Eliza who couldn't hide her awkwardness. Christie who saw it thought Eliza had a crush on Gabriel, so she elbowed Eliza and blinked her eyes which left Eliza a little confused.

"Hi" said Jibril who also looked awkward.

"After hi, we're done, let's go!" exclaim Christie later. "Let me drive, El. I think you're sleepy, dangerous." he continued.

Eliza just nodded, she took Chrstie and Jibril to her car. Neither Eliza nor Jibril spoke more than that 'hi. The two were completely at a loss for words over the meeting that was very far beyond their preconceived notions. After 6 years, they split up and are determined to forget each other. Now fate brings them back to meet so easily.

As Eliza was about to sit in the front, Christie forbade her, she gestured for her sister-in-law to sit in the back with Gabriel. However, Eliza certainly refused, her heart could jump from its place if she sat on the side of the man who had been controlling her heart without being able to prevent it.

"Ayesha is sitting behind the same Om yes, dear," Eliza exclaimed to her niece.

"Jibril's time told to sit down with a leak, El? Not good, you're the one behind," said Chrstie who immediately got a sharp look from Eliza.

"It's okay, I sit with Ayesha at the back," continued Jibril who was also not ready if he had to sit close to Eliza. Only in one car like this alone makes the heart of Jibril racing, especially if they sit side by side.

Christie also drove her car to one of the cafes that she often visited if she was in LA, during the trip Christie again chatting with Jibril. It makes Eliza slightly frowned, because what Eliza knows Jibril is very irritable to talk even impressed will not speak unless he gets a question from his interlocutor.

Occasionally Eliza steals a glance at Jibril from the rearview mirror, the man's face unchanged even though they've been separated for years. The only thing that was different was only Jibril's face that looked more radiant than usual. He was no longer like the ice cube master Eliza knew back then.

"Did he already have a wife so he turned liquid so? So friendly and connected to chat, surely because it's used to his wife and children?"
