Chapter #18 - Questions About the Past?

Ruby invites Shalwa to visit Eliza who is still in the hospital, Shalwa brings a basket of fruit for her friend and when she gets there Eliza just wants to eat the orange.

"No sweet, huh?" eliza asked Shalwa who was peeling oranges for Eliza. Along with that, the two Eliza parents who had gone to see the doctor now returned to Eliza's nursery.

"El, cook your guests to peel the orange," admonished Madame Jill who saw Shalwa peeling the orange for her.

"I'm not a guest, Auntie," Shalwa said, chuckling.

"Thank you, Shalwa. Eliza told me a lot about you" said Mrs Jill who also seemed to like Shalwa. "You are the second person close to Eliza other than our family" he added.

Shalwa fell silent, thinking that his first person was Jibril. "It's only you and Ruby who managed to make Eliza feel comfortable and safe" continued Mrs Jill who made Shalwa breathe a little relieved. He could only smile at his feet.

"Oh yes, Mom. What about the guy I hit the car with? Is he calling the police or asking for damages?" ask Eliza.

"No, Honey. What you hit turned out to be Jibril Emerson, the man you were looking for, who paid for your groceries," replied Mrs Jill who immediately made Eliza and Shalwa surprised.

"Jibril?" peekik both together. Eliza and Shalwa looked at each other. "Keep how is he doing, Mom? Is he hurt?" ask Eliza worriedly.

Jealousy again tickled Shalwa when another woman who loved Jibril so much worried about him, the man he loved so much.

"He's fine and he doesn't demand anything" replied Mrs Jill. "Ah, I deserved to see him in the hospital, '" he murmured.

While Eliza now blushes when she remembers her dream that feels so real when Jibril calms her. "So he's really here? Hem, sir, the ice cubes are starting to melt a little."

"Shalwa ..," called Eliza because Shalwa looked daydreaming, Shalwa turned his head immediately and threw a stiff smile. "Your neighbors are okay, don't worry," said Eliza who made Shalwa again can only smile stiffly.

"Honey, Mom wants to go home first, yeah. Want to take a shower and take your things," said Mrs Jill later.

"When will I be treated, Mom?"

"Tomorrow afternoon we can go home when the doctor makes sure you're okay."

Eliza just nodded slowly, actually she really hated being in the hospital. However, Eliza knew she needed this treatment.

After Eliza's parents left, Shalwa and Ruby accompanied Eliza. Ruby asks what happened until Eliza hit a car that was also running.

Eliza told me what she saw and it made her remember her childhood. The look on Eliza's face looked very sad, her eyes implying a wound that had not yet healed. "Patience, Eliza. You must be strong through all this," said Shalwa while rubbing Eliza's shoulders.

"I can get through it, but I can't forget it, Shalwa. It was terrible" said Eliza. "Every night I feel like I'm going through it again and again. When it was a child, I was still weak—"

"You are very strong" Shalwa said convincingly. "When you were a child but already very strong, you managed to save yourself back then. And now that you're more mature, you're much stronger than you think. " Salwa said so softly and convincingly.

"Yeah, dr. Alma always said so, too" said Eliza.

Shalwa who heard that could only give a faint smile, until suddenly the sound of knocking on the door made them frown. "Who's knocking on the door of the hospital room?" ruby chuckle.

"Lake in!" Shouted Eliza.

The door opened and immediately Eliza smiled as she saw who had come, "Long live," Ruby muttered as she eloped. While Shalwa had guessed that what came must have been Jibril.

"Sorry, am I interrupting?" ask Jibril. Not pleasantries, he just felt that he had come at the wrong time especially the three women were hugging. "I just want to know how you are, Eliza." she continued.

"I'm fine, how's your car?" ask Eliza.

"Destroyed," replied Jibril honestly.

"Great?" ask Eliza again.

"Lumayan" replied Jibril again.

"Then let daddy buy you a new car instead."

"I told people to fix it, thank you."

Eliza nodded in understanding as she twisted her brain, roughly she should ask what else?

"Then I go first" said Jibril then who made Eliza gawk.

"You said you wanted to see me?" eliza protest.

"Already, right? You're fine, "Jibril answered flatly as usual which made Rubby giggle while Eliza gave a smile.

"I'm not okay, my head is hurt and hurt. You didn't see?"

"I saw your head in the bandage and the doctor had treated it, the pain will not immediately disappear and the wound will not heal immediately. But you have to be patient, there is no other option."

Eliza gaped, as did Ruby while Shalwa chuckled at Jibril's long answer." Okay, I'm going home first" exclaimed Jibril then he completely walked out of Eliza's nursery.

"God! Why am I as fascinated as a robot man as he is?" eliza's murmur was upset and the mutter was heard by Shalwa who immediately made Shalwa fall silent again.

"Shalwa, your neighbor is strange" exclaimed Eliza later. "Oh yeah, he had a future wife before. You know me?"
