Chapter #34 - The High Road

"Road, yuk? Like the end of Sunday, I also called Shalwa. He wants to come along, especially next week he wants to go back to his hometown."

Eliza who heard what Ruby said was quite surprised. He immediately turned his head and looked at Ruby who was currently sleeping in Eliza's bed while playing a mobile phone.

Eliza tried to dodge, she who had just finished immediately rushed to the bathroom to dry her wet towel.

"El, you're not an enemy, are you Shalwa?" ruby asks following Eliza to the bathroom.

"No, why the enemy?" Eliza asked back and displayed her calm face when she also thought about her friendship with Shalwa which was a little tenuous.

"Since then, the two of you avoided each other," Ruby sighed heavily. "Shalwa is not wrong, El. The proof is that she still wants to be friends with him even though you unknowingly made the marriage void."

"When do I blame him?" eliza asked in a slightly annoyed tone.

"Yes, never," murmured Ruby grimaced.

"But I love her, Mom," exclaimed Eliza then boldly who made her heart gasp. He looked at Eliza who was currently down.

"Love is just a momentary feeling, El. It could be that you are just amazed by him, try to stay away from him and mom guarantee you can definitely forget it."

"What if I can't?"

"It must be!"

"Since when did Kaka go alone with girls? What if there is a slander?" Aira asked Jibril who was currently playing with baby Ali.

Since it was Saturday, Jibril took his time to play with his nephew. And when she got home, she actually got a scolding from Aira who somehow got a report from where she ate alone with Eliza

"Aira, we eat in public and in open spaces" replied Jibril calmly. "Again I ate at Arsyad's restaurant, nothing happened. We just eat and talk," he added.

"Oh yeah? Chatting about what? A rigid and cold Jibril on all humans could suddenly chat with a foreign woman?"

"Aira, I love her and she's no longer a foreign woman." Aira was certainly not surprised to hear her brother's answer. Gabriel always told the truth.

"Then did you meet to talk about your love?" asked Aira sharply.

"We love each other" replied Jibril.

"Love is just a feeling that needs to be felt if you already know it can not be united, Brother. So what makes you meet and talk?"
