I'M Sorry To Hurt You [Last]
FORTY-FOUR

There is nothing happier when everything ends beautifully for now. No more grudges lurking in the heart. No more overflowing anger filled my chest cavity. No more selfishness filled my mind. Everything is replaced with joy, accepting everything that has happened. I will try to recapitulate the events of my past so that this heart of peace is always. Same with my wife.

I stared at the slender back full of love, my wife's sweet figure. He is the one who now fills all the gaps in my heart, filling it with love and compassion. My smile endlessly expands on my face. My heart feels at peace seeing her figure.

I stared at him - the superiors who were watching every move of his subordinates - who were struggling with the things in the kitchen every day. The body of the fill keeps moving frisky to and fro. Concocting cooking spices. Actually I want to help him. But he forbade me to jump straight into donating my energy. I can do anything but obey his will.

“Eh? Is it back to normal?” Edgar's weak ambiguous voice blew my gaze from watching Purnama turn to look at my brother-in-law. My forehead winches. For some reason my heart rippled finely, my heart skipped a beat as I looked at Edgar's pale face. I don't know. Is it just my feelings? The light on Edgar's face faded. Dimmed. There was no light of life there. Looks like I should be firmer again persuading him to surgery soon.

Kuelus nape me before answering Edgar's question. “Overnight we have made up again,” I replied with a slight throats. Grabbing the chair, turning it back and letting Edgar sit next to me.

“Really? Wow, what a happy news this morning.” Edgar smiled at sumringah. Sitting next to me. Grab a glass of water beside him. Chugged it a few times.

“I'm so glad to hear it, El.” Edgar stroked my hand on the dining table. I just smiled a little. That's right Edgar said. I also felt happy approaching where I was this morning.

“Breakfast is ready.” The cheerful voice of Purnama filled our cheerful morning. The three of us smiled at each other. Started enjoying the dishes made by my beloved wife.

“Sorry I picked up the phone first.” I asked for permission as the sound of my phone rang loudly beside me. The two brothers nodded their heads. I hurried away from the two and grabbed my salary. Swipe the answer button when you are in the family room. Doctor Katy called.

“Hallo Dok,” my reply with a thin smile even though someone behind the vast ocean far away there did not see me. My feeling is that there will be something good that this female doctor has reported.

“Mr Benjamin, how's your voice?”

I rubbed my nape and glanced at the two brothers in the dining room, still busy eating breakfast each. “Yes, I'm fine. My voice started to stabilize a little, it was just that the medicine was running out. Looks like I'll have to find a doctor in Beijing.”

“Not the medicine problem is exhausted. Look for the same kind of medicine at a pharmacy or specialist at a Beijing hospital. Right now you just need the therapy I recommend and take the medicine regularly, Mr. Benjamin.”

“Alright, thank you for the suggestion, doc,” I replied breathing a sigh of relief.

“One more, Mr. Benjamin. About lupus disease said by you some time ago.”

Suddenly my heart skipped back.

“You are still in Beijing right, Mr Benjamin?”

“Yes, I'm still in Beijing,” I replied very nervously even holding my breath for a few seconds.

“Good. Instead of you flying all the way to New York to see doctor Rody, you better meet my best friend at Beijing international hospital, he can help your brother-in-law's operation.”

As my smile grew happy to hear Doctor Katy's explanation. I hung up after talking at length about Edgar's disease. I rushed back to the dining room. They both finished breakfast.

“Why, Elias? Is it good to stay with you until your smile never wears off on your handsome face.” Edgar smiled faintly as he tilted his head. Staring at me so closely as I sat comfortably in the chair, joining the two together.

At first glance I sipped my black coffee that was starting to cool - I left for a moment to pick up the phone from Dr. Katy. “Your guess is right, Ed. Something good approached me, more precisely for you.” I put my coffee cup back on the table after speaking.

“That's true, El?” Full Eyes glittering at me. Her smile was so wide - revealing her neat little white teeth.

“Ya, Dear.” I stroked the back of his hand, then switched to pecking next to his cheek. I chuckled amusedly seeing a pink tinge popping up on her sweet face. Fuller lowered his head, embarrassed. And Edgar was a little bit of a throbbery from the action I was showing in front of him. I forget. In the dining room, it wasn't just me and my wife.

“Sorry, Ed.” I was embarrassed, then again said seriously, “Actually I just heard from the doctor who handled me that you could have surgery this week at the Beijing hospital. We no longer need to go to the hospital in New York.”

Momentary silence. Only the voice of the Full sounded so happy. Many times he gave thanks. Not so with Edgar. He just kept quiet.

“Sister, did you hear Elias? We don't need to go to New York. We can operate here. Even this week, surgery can be done. We can prepare the operation of Brother as best as possible.” The full moon stood up from her seat. Hugged Edgar tightly. Wife sobbing. Not crying, but crying.

“Kakak?” call Full when Edgar doesn't respond.

“Ed, trust me. You can definitely get through it all,”, I said encouraging him.

Edgar exhaled. Stare at Purnama and I take turns. He shook. “I don't think so, El.”

“Ed, please. This time only. We do the operation first,” I said again, trying as much as possible to convince him. The full moon nodded its head. Agree with.

“Elias right, Brother. What matters is the brother's operation first. Get rid of other problems first,” added Purnama interrupted sobs, this time sobs sad tears. Sit back in his chair. Kuelus backs his hands. Tranquilize.

Edgar. He didn't answer anything. Just stand up from his seat. I'll grab my wife's body soon. He was sobbing in my chest and saw Edgar's cold reaction. Before long, Edgar came out of his room with a neat appearance. The thick jacket wrapped his pale skinny body.

“Where are you, Ed?” manyworry.

“Come out. Breathe fresh air.”

“Then kuteman-”

“No need, El. I need alone.” Edgar hurriedly cut my words.

Edgar nodded weakly. Passing in front of us.

“I hope, after he takes a short walk outside, he changes his mind. Want surgery,” said I exhaled short breath. Looked at the rest of my coffee which had already cooled down a lot.

“Yes. I also hope so. I ... really want Brother Edgar to recover.” Purnama raises head. Staring at my eyeball.

The corner of my lips revealed a thin smile. I wiped the tears on my wife's cheek. Then he grabbed his dangling bangs and lightly kissed his forehead.

“I too, Honey. So eager to see Edgar heal and live happily,” I whispered raucously.

“Elias.”

I looked. Distracting my attention from the top of the laptop to the doorway of my work space. My wife was standing there with a worried face.

“Why, Dear?” my many. Immediately stand up and approach him. I guided Purnama to a long single sofa in front of my desk.

“It has been a few hours, brother Edgar has not returned home. Manalagi he has not eaten,” said Purnama with a voice almost drowned. “I'm very worried about him.”

Scroll a glance at the watch in my right hand. Thas right. Because of my busy work on files stacked on my laptop and zooming meetings with some important officials at my company in New York, I forgot about Edgar who went to breathe fresh air from this morning.

“You've called him, honey?” I try to calm down.

“Already. Hundreds of times since an hour ago. But it looks like brother Edgar turned off his phone.”

I took my smartphone on my desk. I tried calling Randy. Who knows Edgar went to his apartment.

“No. Brother Edgar didn't play to my place. What happened to Edgar?” Randy asked after I asked Edgar.

“No why-why. Only Edgar hasn't come home yet. It's yes, Dy. If Edgar comes to your apartment immediately notify me,” I said hurriedly turn off the phone. Then I dialed another number that still had something to do with Edgar. My mommy. But Mommy's answer is the same as Randy's. Edgar didn't come to Mommy's apartment.

Kuhela short breath. Where exactly is Edgar? Rather than continue to wonder in this state of worry. And not wanting anything to happen with my sister-in-law, I better hurry to look outside. I picked up my hoodie that was draped in my work chair.

“I'd better get out. Directly looking for it, Honey,” I said in the middle of putting a hoodie into my body.

The full moon rushed over to me. “I'm coming,” said.

“No, Dear. Let me just look for him. You stay in the apartment. I'm worried about your situation and also here.” Kuelus had a distended stomach and kissed his forehead at a glance. “Isn't it in two or three more days according to your doctor's prediction you're going to give birth, dear.”

Purnama nodded. “Yes. According to the prediction so.”

“You already feel the signs of giving birth?” ask me without taking my hand away from my wife's distended stomach.

My wife nodded again. “Iya. Sometimes my back hurts for a while. Sometimes stomach pain or cramping for a while. Heartburn so.”

“Then just sit down. Don't move much.”

The full moon again. Embrace my wife's body. Get out of my work room. As I turned around and was about to head for the door, Edgar appeared with a face imprinted with a very bright smile on the side of his pale lips. Unlike a few hours ago, his face was extremely pale with a sight so dim. I don't know what he met outside the apartment until his face seemed to glow with a burning spirit.

“Elias, Full. I agree on operative.”
