I'M Sorry To Hurt You [Last]
TWENTY NINE

I jerked awake, my eyes instantly opened wide, watching the surroundings. Then exhale. Wishing the incident I've been through is just a nightmare. From the bottom of my heart, I really hope Edgar is healthy and Purnama doesn't have to hate me.

I sat my body forcibly. My chest hurts so much. Even just breathing in is hard. I saw an infusion needle stuck in my right hand. I remember, before I was unconscious, Randy kicked me brutally.

“Elias, don't get up first. You're still sick.” Mommy held my body, preventing me from sitting down.

“No, Mom. I had to meet Purnama,” my soft voice and look at Mommy who seemed to have cried. Mommy shook her head, continuing to push my body to lie back down. But my body just remained motionless.

“El, you're sick too. Later ya visit Purnama,” persuaded Mommy still remain adamant lay my stiff body.

“Mom, I just want to make sure he is okay.” I put Mommy's hand on my shoulder. Without thinking any longer I immediately plucked the infusion hose from my right hand. I grimaced with the pain and pain while stabbing my hand. Fresh blood began to spurt from the veins on my wrist; where it had been stuck in an infusion tube. Mommy who saw immediately screeched.

“Elias! What are you doing!”

“There's ap-astaga! Elias.” Daddy suddenly walked into the room when he heard Mommy's shocked screeches. Quickly Daddy immediately held me back. Holding tightly to my body.

“Release, Dad. Let me go, I want to see Purnama.”  I started raising my voice.

“No, El. You need to rest first.”

“Dad, please! Let me see how he is. Me ..” I didn't finish my words. I knelt down because my body was still too weak to give. I hugged Daddy's waist as my focus. I don't care anymore about the blood still flowing from my wrist. My eyes glazed. My heart is throbbing pain. Shown in my eyes is the face of full pain when I found out Edgar had end-stage lupus.

“Please, Dad,” lirihku. Daddy exhaled. Looking at the two balls of my eyes that were moving restlessly. He rubbed blood on my wrist. While Mommy can only sob from now on.

“Alright, if that's your wish. Meet Purnama.” Daddy finally let me.

I exhaled a sigh of relief. After thanking Daddy. Teeteringly dragging my frail body towards the Full Room with my faithful parents trailing from behind.

When we got to the full room. There was Edgar, stroking the head of Purnama who was sobbing on the bed. I took a deep breath and looked down at the end of my shoe. Seeing that Edgar was here, he probably already knew that I was leaking about his illness. I looked at Mommy and Daddy's face in turn, they just nodded - giving me strength.

“Purnama,” my word raucous.

“Elias?” Edgar turned his head and looked at me who was still standing in front of the door. I just nodded in response. Then switch to my wife. My eyes looked at him. Purnama just silently looked at the ceiling of the room. My feet began to move closer to his bed.

“Kak Ed, where are you going?” tanya Purnama held tightly to Edgar's wrist. Prevent him from leaving.

A faint smile was present on Edgar's pale face. He gently rubbed the back of Purnama's hand. “So I'm not going out for a minute. Speak carefully with Elias, okay.”

Purnama shook his head on the sidelines of his sobbing. “No! Brother stays here - he should be the one to leave here.” Show me.

“But, Pur---”

“I don't want to hear!” The full moon shouted hysterically covering both ears, cutting off Edgar's speech.

I exhaled a short breath. Interjected both. “What's wrong, Ed. I'll be back later.”

“No, Elias! You stay here!” prevent Edgar from stopping my movements that started to turn and walk away. I glanced at Purnama's face, which glanced at me, and turned to Edgar.

“Sister, I disagree!” his objection rejected my presence.

“No, Full. We have to solve the problem three,” Edgar said firmly, making Purnama silent instantly.

“Come, El. Sitting here,” continued Edgar called me while pulling the other chair, patting it so that I immediately sat next to him. I nodded slowly, starting to step closer to the two. I lowered my head, stared at the floor while creeping my hands together. Let Edgar speak.

“Purnama, actually it was Brother who told Elias to keep my illness a secret from you. Brother doesn't want you to worry. Brother doesn't want you to be sad. Brother doesn't want you to get sick thinking about me. But ... Elias has told you.”

“I'm sorry, Ed,” I'm sorry for feeling guilty, not being able to keep her secret so well.

Edgar patted my shoulder slowly. Smiling thinly. “What happened, has happened - after all, gradually also discovered by Purnama.”

“It's wrong Elias, Brother. If only he hadn't prevented me all this time from seeing Brother. Maybe ... huks,” sidelines Full Moon sobbing.

“Purnama,” call me raucous and stare at her. My hand trembled as it grabbed his hand, grasping it tightly. But hurriedly Purnama brushed off my hand.

“Now you're satisfied, El. Brother Ed suffered,” squealed Purnama looked up at my eyes. Suddenly he punched me in the chest, venting all his anger. I just kept quiet, not fighting at all. I just let him spill it all on me.

“Purnama, stop!” Edgar held Purnama's hand. “Elias is also sick at the moment,” he continued making him speechless.

I immediately stood up, unable to bear if he continued to be hysterical with me.

“Ed, I go first,” my farewell. Edgar just nodded thinly. This time he gave up.

“Don't come here again! Don't look at me again, Elias!” The full moon kept screaming behind me, making my heart throb again the pain of hearing her rejection.

I turned away from the glass window, stepping my feet silently. Previously peeked at my wife's state. Is eating well. Sleep well. Yep. I've been doing this kind of activity for almost a week. Watching him from a distance.

Ever since the incident where I told him that Edgar was sick, Purnama was devastated. I didn't even want to see me again the day after I went to see him. She reacted so hysterically to me that I did not dare to see her in person.

With a shunt, I got out of the hospital area and headed for the apartment. Right now Purnama I entrusted my parents to take care of him in turn. And Randy himself was on Edgar's side, guarding him. I also put some of my men-secretly-keeping my wife and Edgar. I don't want Purnama's being kidnapped by that jerk Jeremy to happen again. About Jeremy, as soon as I want to get it done.

My eyes narrowed as I stared at the clear sky in the afternoon, while standing in the hospital parking lot. Breathe out and open the car door. Send my personal driver to my residence.

I entered the apartment feeling quiet. Then lay on the couch, resting my tired body. I closed both eyes with my arms. I turned my face to the table as my smartphone rang aloud. I straightened my body and rubbed my wrinkled face. Then I massaged my forehead as I felt a throb, and shifted the answer button. A quick look at the caller ID. Bryyan.

“Why, Bry?” ask directly.

“El, when are you going back to New York? We can't handle all the company's problems, without your leadership at all we're confused. We need you as the owner of this company.”

I exhaled. One more of my biggest problems; my company, which suddenly suffered a huge loss, caused almost all of my finances to change hands on Jeremy's behalf.

Back I massaged my forehead which was getting throbbing. Teeth grinding. My heart is very upset. I'm clucking. You sneaky Jeremy. He used to tell me he didn't need a treasure when he kidnapped Purnama. But it turns out, he secretly transferred all my financial assets to her.

“Sapitly, Bry. I returned. I can't be sure when I'll be back in New York. Purnama here also needs me.” I heard clearly the sighing of Bryan's heavy voice when I heard my answer.

“Good. Come back soon, El. Considering this is no small matter. Moreover, our company in New York is the parent of ten subsidiary branches.”

I bit my lip to hear Bryan's explanation. This matter really needs my attention right away.

“I understand, Bry. Soon I'll be in New York,” I said and turned off the phone. Look at the ceiling of the room. At least I went back to New York when Full Moon was really in good health. I'm planning on taking her back to New York again.
