Barrel threw his body onto the sofa.
Stretching muscles that feel stiff, the girl feels very tired. Without changing her work uniform, Laras fell asleep. But he was shocked by the sound of a loud door knock. Laras glanced at his watch, showing it at one o'clock in the night.
"Who are the gini nights" he murmured as he strode towards the door. The barrel opened the door slightly without removing the grendel. Laras' eyes were rounded, behind Ben's door smiling broadly as he propped himself up with his hands against the wall. Laras finds out, Ben is under the influence of alcohol, having left McFadden's Saloon an hour before Laras finishes work.
"You're gonna let me stand here all night?" ben asked still with a big smile.
The barrel took a slow breath, then opened the door.
"What are you going to do here?" ask Laras while looking out. There's no one.
Ben threw his body on the couch, pulled a pack of cigarettes out of his pocket, and lit a stick.
"You can't talk earlier" Ben said.
"You know for yourself I'm at work." Baras argued.
"Just wanna say sorry, maybe you're uncomfortable with the news."
The barrel breathed deeply.
"Anyway.it's not a big deal. Maybe I was overreacted."
The girl took a bottle of wine and
two glasses. Then sit next to Ben. Fill the bottle in the glass.
Then she handed Ben a glass.
"Cheap wine" said Laras.
Ben chuckled, then grabbed the glass from Laras' hand and downed it.
"Lumayan" he said, checking the brand of wine bottles that read "Dragonfly Cabernet Shiraz. Baras took a cigarette from Ben's pack, then lit it. He had a glass of wine in his hand and took turns to smoke his cigarette.
"You know one of those stupid questions that those reporters were asking this afternoon?" laras broke the silence between them.
"What?" ben asked as he looked at Laras, both elbows supporting his body above his thighs.
"They asked me if I was a gold digger."
Laras chuckles. Ben who was gulping down his wine glass almost spouted it out of his mouth. Then chuckle.
"Did you have time to answer their questions?" ask Ben.
"My tongue is suddenly confused."
The two looked at each other, then the laughter of the two exploded. Laras leaned his body on the sofa while smoking his cigarette deeply.
"So, I wonder what your music is like, why are you so famous?" laras.
"It's a metal sub-genre, you can call it stoner I guess?"
"Hmm .. I've just heard of that sub-genre."
"I think asians are more familiar with death, black, goth .. symphonic," said Ben. Laras.
"I would like to listen to one of your songs."
"Now?"
"Yeah."
Barrel took a small speaker and gave it to Ben. The speaker is set up through his phone.
"Come on" said Laras.
"This is Amazon Echo, right?" ask Ben.
Laras nodded. Ben cleared a minute.
"Alexa, play "Wreckage Of Tears" by The Rebellion" Ben exclaimed to the smart speaker in his hand.
"Playing, Wreckage Of Tears by The Rebellion"
Before long the speaker also played a song with a heavy guitar rift.
*Lyric:
Why doesn't the world understand
The burden I have to carry
I live but I'm dying
This pain is so torturing
And watch her dying
They laugh they hate
They full of lies and greed
I'm just a little man trying to live
In this mad world
I love I hate I feel desire
What can I do*...
"Wow, did you write the lyric?"tanya Laras amazed.
"Yeah" replied Ben, sipping his wine.
"Smart."
Ben chuckles.
"Smart, handsome and rich" he praised himself.
"And it sucks," said Laras as he smacked a small pillow into Ben's head.
Ben held onto Laras' wrist then pulled the girl towards him. The two look at each other.
Slowly Ben brought his face closer to Laras's face and landed a kiss on the girl's lips. Makes him gasp.
"Oops.. I'm sorry," said Ben while scratching his head that does not itch. "Damn, this must be because of the wine." Ben shook the glass filled with wine in his hand.
"Yeah, definitively," said Laras with a reddened face.
Both of them were silent, immersed in their respective thoughts. Enjoying the warmth that flows in their bodies.
"You'd better go home."
"I'd better go home."
Both said the words simultaneously. Look at each other, then chuckle.
Ben's phone rang, one message came in, the man checked his phone's screen. Sidney sent the message.
Ben .. Where are you? I'm waiting in your apartment right now.
Ben smiled at the knot reading a message from his date. His storage returned a cell phone in his pants pocket.
"I think I should probably go." said Ben as he moved from his seat. "Thanks for the wine,
Barrel," he continued later.
"My pleasure" Laras replied, taking Ben to the door of his apartment and opening it. The Rebellion frontman stepped out.
"See ya." said Laras while closing the door.
After Ben's death, Laras immediately rushed to his bed. The girl smiled faintly and stroked her lips. Benjamin Chevalier kissed her, crazy, inwardly.
It didn't take long for the girl to fall asleep.
