I Am Yours, Mr Chevalier!
The Part 122

BROOKLYN BRIDGE PARK BROOKLYN.

Mia ran to Brandon who was sitting waiting for her in a wooden chair extending under the Ailanthus tree or commonly called The Tree Of Heaven which thrives in some areas of the park.

The girl handed Brandon one of the packs of tacos from two she had just bought from a traveling taco dealer in her van, which was parked not far from them.

"Nice view, huh?" mia said as she looked up at the Brooklyn Bridge that stretched in front of them. While some of the children around him were playing ball on the dried grass.

"Yep!" sahut Brandon bit his tacos. His eyes are straight ahead.

"Hey, you look moody." Mia pushed Brandon's shoulder slowly.

"I broke up with Sarah."

"No way!" screeched Mia, then rounded her eyes, looking at her friend in disbelief. "Why?"

Brandon shakes. "It doesn't matter anymore." Her lips revealed a small smile.

"Oowh, Brand .so sorry to hear that." Mia stroked Brandon's back gently.

"I'm okay - what. Instead, I feel relieved. I've decided something."

Mia flinches. "Decide something?"

"Yes, I'm going after the girl I've always liked. I'll tell her how I feel."

"Wow, that's great, Brand."

Brandon finished one last bite of his tacos then took out a bottle of mineral water next to him and gulped it down.

The man took his breath in - deep. He changed his seat facing towards Mia.

"Lamia," he called her softly.

"Yeah?" Mia was surprised to see Brandon's face that looked tense and serious. The man's cheeks were red.

"I .. want to .. emm .. say, that I .. ee ...."

"ouch!!"

Mia was strangled when a ball that came out of nowhere hit her temple hard enough. The girl grimaced as she stroked her painful temple.

"Hey, be careful, okay?" Brandon exclaimed as he threw the ball at two children who were standing not far from them.

"Sorry ...." One of the boys exclaimed as he caught the ball thrown by Brandon. Then they continued their activity playing ball back.

"You're okay - what? Let me check." Brandon grabbed Mia's palm that was covering her temple. There's bruises in there. The girl was still grimacing in pain.

"Ouch!" his screech as Brandon's fingers stroked his temples which began to turn red.

"Sorry," he said anxiously. "We'll just go to your apartment, maybe I can compress it with ice cubes."

Mia simply nodded as she continued to cover her temple with her palm. Then followed Brandon who took him to the car park.

.

.

"Oouch, sick!"

"Hold, Lamia!"

Brandon rubbed with a bruised heart at Mia's temple with a few pieces of ice cubes wrapped in a towel.

The faces of the two were so close. Until no doubt Mia's eyes are fixed on Brandon's thin lips are slightly open. Then down exploring Brandon's sturdy neck. His chest pounded. Making him try hard to regulate his slightly hunting breath.

Brandon glanced at Mia who looked nervous. The girl's face was down. Slowly lifted Mia's chin and with slow motion Brandon gradually tilted and brought her face closer to touch her lips on the tiny lips in front of her.

The sound of the apartment door being opened from the outside shocked the two of them to the point where Brandon's right hand, which was still sticking a wet towel on Mia's temple, pressed her down until the girl complained of pain.

"Oops, sorry," said Brandon nervously. Mia stroked her pain-filled temple plan back.

"Hi, Brand," said Ashley who had just walked into the room. "Lammy, what's going on?". The girl looked towards Mia who was grimacing in pain.

"Slight bruising in the temple. Hit by a ball toss in Brooklyn Bridge Park." Mia chuckles.

"Uuff." Ashley bergidig looked at Mia's slightly bluish temple. "Are you gonna be okay?"

"Yeah."

Ashley stepped into her room and closed the door tightly. Now lives Brandon and Mia who look awkward with each other. Sit next to each other without saying a word.

GREENWICH VILLAGE, MANHATTAN.

"Turn the pegs tuning down, Daren, can you?"

Mia helps Daren tune her violin's loosening strings. The boy enthusiastically noticed the instructions directed by Mia. Then try it yourself.

"Voil!" mia exclaimed happily as soon as the sound of the violin strings had returned to the basic key.

"Mia, my vibrato ish gettingh better," Daren said in her lisp voice.

"O yeah? Show me, Daren. Play Allegretto in vibrato, please."

Daren immediately swiped his first note in the key D open string for starters. When his fingers pressed against one of the strings, the boy moved - the movement of his palms forward and back, producing a perfect vibrato sound. Mia was flabbergasted at how quickly Daren was learning.

"Bravo, Darren!"

Mia clapped her hands as soon as Daren finished the song. The boy grimaced happily.

"Can I give you a hug?" mia asked as she spread out her arms, preparing to hug Daren. The handsome boy greeted him with pleasure.

.

.

"See you, Mia."

Daren, who was held by Jackelyn the baby sitter, waved at Mia and stepped in the steps of the afro-American woman out of the room.

Daren's voice greeted Ben from outside the room. Mia who was tidying up her violin equipment immediately sped up her movement to insert the violin into the soft case. Then hold his favorite musical instrument and step quickly towards the door. When it arrived - suddenly the figure of Ben appeared from behind the door with a big smile.

"Hi, I'll take you home?" bargained for.

"Emm .. no .. no, I ...."

"I want to eat Indonesian food at Mr.'s shop. Kusuma," said Ben, grabbing Mia's hand and holding the girl. Without being able to refuse Mia also followed Ben's steps through the corridor until he finally arrived outside the house.

Ben took off his arm to open the car door to Mia. Doubtfully the girl got into the car.

Soon the two were in a car and driving down the busy streets of Manhattan, to the Brooklyn Bridge, which is a bridge between Manhattan and Brooklyn.

From inside the store, Om Surya notices Mia who just got off the black range rover, followed by Ben Chevalier who steps behind his nephew. The middle-aged man's forehead flinched.

"Om" said Mia as soon as she walked into the store and kissed the back of her uncle's hand. The man stroked the top of Mia's head.

"Die, Mr. Kusuma, how are you." Ben shook Om Surya's hand tightly.

"I'm good, Mr. Chevaliers. Please, please." Om Surya let Ben sit on an empty table with two chairs facing each other.

The store that doubles up as a small shop looks crowded by mostly Asian-faced visitors

Southeast.

"Let me just o'm." Mia picked up the menu book from Om Surya's hand and approached Ben who had sat down and smiled at him.

"What do you want to order?" ask Mia while handing the menu book to Ben.

"Suggestion?"

"Chicken Noodle Soup."

"What's that?"

"Emc .. The Chicken Noodle Soup."

Ben thought for a moment. "Okay," he said later. "Are you going to sit here with me?"

"I'll help my Uncle first."

"Okay."

Mia stepped into the kitchen room approaching Om Surya who had been wearing her apron.

"Chicken Noodle soup, Om," he said.

"You're dating Benjamin Chevalier?" Om Surya said his words with another topic. "From the first time Om thought you were deketing Brandon."

"Ih, no Om, I'm not dating Ben, just as Brandon is also a legal position."

Om Surya chuckled as he stuffed a handful of yellow noodles into the boiling water.

"Why is the case with Ben Tuh?" goda Om Surya's.

Mia clucking. "So abis ngajar his son, Om. Ben said he wanted to eat Indonesian food here, yes he already nawarin I come, in line right."

"Oowh, gituuu ...." Om Surya mangosteen - mangosteen with a ignorant smile that is still on his lips.

"Let me the anther," said Mia as soon as Om Surya finished concocting the Chicken Noodle Soup in the bowl.

"Lam, don't forget the hot tea."

Mia took a tray and put a bowl of Chicken Noodle Soup and a cup of hot tea on it.

.

.

"Hmmm .. this is good, better than .. fried rice," said Ben after finishing chewing his noodles. The pronunciation of fried rice with its funny American accent made Mia chuckle. "What's the name again? In Indonesian?"

"Chicken Noodle Soup."

"Chicken Noodle Soup," Ben repeated with his adorable feathery accent. "Sup is soup, definitively," he chuckles. "So Noodle means chicken, and Chicken means noodle? Is that correct?"

Mia tried to hold back her laughter. "You're upside down."

"Owh, damn!" meaning as he was broken. "You don't eat anything?" ask Ben then.

"Emm .. I'm not so hungry yet."

"I see."

Ben continued eating in silence. Mia did not want to interrupt until the handsome man finished eating.

"I used to eat here a lot" Ben said after sipping his hot tea.

"With Barrel. I know, my uncle told me that."

You want to reminisce again, Ben? All right, where are you going?

Ben smiled wryly. "Sorry."

"It's okay. You don't have to say sorry. She's a very important woman in your life. I understand that."

Ben looked at Mia with a hint of surprise. I don't know what the girl said. Could it be that Mia was insinuating him? His face looks flat.

"I'll take you home." Ben moved from his seat.

"It's not necessary, Ben. I'll help my Uncle. Looks like the shop's getting crowded."

"Owh, okay."

Ben stepped towards the cashier table where Om Surya was serving the buyer. They spoke for a while then Ben turned his head towards Mia and waved his hand. The girl just nodded. Then without caring about Ben's departure, he tidied up the table and stepped into the kitchen room.
