I Am Yours, Mr Chevalier!

I Am Yours, Mr Chevalier!
The Part 100

"Take a guess."

Brandon threw his body on an elongated padded chair, sitting between Will and Graham. While Mia was busy tuning her violin. The three now looked towards the leaf-tattooed young man on his right arm.

Brandon showed his phone screen to the three colleagues.

"Email from The Meadow Music And Art Festival, we got away!" yells.

"Wow!" squeak Will and Graham at the same time.

Mia's smile expands. The Meadow Music and Art Festival is one of the largest annual music festivals in America. It was held in a large stadium called Citi Field in Queens, New York. Many names - the name of a famous band or soloist who became his line up. For new bands like The Funeralopolis, usually only bring two cover songs and one song itself. Yet it was an opportunity for them to introduce themselves to the audience.

"We have a month and a half to exercise" Mia murmured.

"They asked us to send us one single, which means we have to record our song right away" Brandon said. Then he looked towards Mia.

"Behind Blue Eyes is done I arranged, I want to hear your version, Brand," said Mia.

Brandon sighed softly. Her chest suddenly felt pain hearing the title of the song that Mia wrote. But as much as possible he did not show it. Only Will caught a glimpse of the change in the look on his face.

"Brand?" call Mia.

"Ah yes, I will follow your arrangement only Lammy," replied Brandon right away, as he grabbed his electric guitar.

"Okay." Mia put down her violin and picked up an acoustic guitar lying not far from her.

Mia started the song intro with a simple genjrengan. Then build the basis of the song until it can be understood by three colleagues, what will be the picture of the song as a whole later.

Mia scrolls the instagram feed on her phone screen. Then look for the official account Meadow Music And Art Festival. Somehow he was curious about the line up that would perform at the prestigious event. And somehow anyway, he hopes The Rebellion is in a row of big bands that will perform there.

And sure enough, The Rebellion's name is perched among some of the big bands in a teaser post from the festival's account. Mia's smile expands.

Of course, The Funeralopolis will not share the stage with The Rebellion, as it is certain that the band will be separated on another smaller stage devoted to bands that do not yet have a name. But seeing the name of The Rebellion alone was enough to make his heart happy. And Mia doesn't know why.

Mia put the phone on her bed just like that. The sky - the shabby sky of his room. Ben's handsome face suddenly appeared in his mind without permission. His brain began to think of strange things that he could not shake.

"What the hell!" it means to yourself. After a while, the girl laughed at herself. Then covered his face with both palms. Patting his forehead to wake himself from his silly thoughts.

Yeah, very - very silly.

"Hi, Rose, I brought you your yogurt."

Madame Rose turned her head to the door of her room, where Mia was walking towards her while carrying a tray containing a medium-sized can of yogurt. The woman's eyes sparkled.

"Thank you, Mia, sorry to bother you," he said.

"Awhh, don't say that, Rose, it's my job."

Mia unscrewed the can of Elle-branded yogurt and shoved it on Madame Rose.

"How's Daren's course?" madame Rose asked as she fed herself.

"Daren is very smart, he always asks for a new song every time he meets" Mia replied. "On Wednesday he forced his father to pick me up because he couldn't wait for Friday to learn" she said.

"really?" Madame Rose's eyes were round. "So you were picked up by Ben?"

"I'm glad the boy started to open up" muttered Madame Rose softly, Mia barely heard him. The girl looked at Madame Rose as if asking the woman to repeat her words.

Madame Rose flicked her hand. "Forget it," he chuckled. Mia smiling. Then take a tishu and wipe the rest of the yogurt attached to the corner of the woman's lips. The two talked warmly as usual. Occasionally punctuated by laughter due to throwing jokes at each other.

"Okay, Daren, see you next week yeah," said Mia ended her meeting with Daren.

Daren hugged Mia tightly. "See you, Mia."

Mia rubbed the soft top of Daren's head, the boy grimacingly revealing his adorable little teeth. Jackelyn, the nanny, leads Daren out of the room.

Mia snatched her violin bag and then followed out. His steps came to a halt when suddenly Marcus's face poked before him and revealed his big smile.

"Hi, Mia," said Marcus, propping his body against the wall with his hands.

"Owh, hi, Mr. Schneider," said Mia nervously.

"You're done? Shall I take you?"

"No need, thank you." Mia bowed slightly then continued her steps past Marcus. Marcus is not his name if you give up. The man followed Mia and aligned his steps with the girl.

"Come on, Mia," he persuaded.

"Truly, no need, thank you."

"Please ...."

Mia scratched her head which was not itchy at all. The girl was really confused about how to reject the man who was now back in front of her.

"Hey, Marc .. Didn't you hear what he said?"

Ben who arrived - suddenly appeared between them interrupts. Marcus clicked annoyed.

"You're just interrupting!" groused Marcus.

Mia looked towards Ben who was chuckling looking at Marcus with her face off. His hand held a glass of red-colored drink that looked like wine. Ben's eyes look cute. But he was not as cold as usual.

"Mia, you just go home, don't mind this jerk," Ben chuckled as he pointed at Marcus who immediately brushed him off. He snatches the wine glass in Ben's hand and grunts leave the two.

"Excuse me, Mr. Chevalier," said Mia while nodding lightly.

"Emc .. Mia."

Mia stopped her steps and turned her head towards Ben.

"You look good" said Ben without waiting. Ben's words just left him flabbergasted. Didn't he hear wrong. Is Ben unaware of his speech due to the influence of alcohol.

Ben pulled the corner of his lips forming a slanted smile. Then leave Mia just like that.

For a moment the girl was pensive. Thinking about those unexpected words of Ben. Ben is not like Ben. A cold-faced man with a costly smile.

The laughter of Marcus and Ben heard from the room at the end of the corridor made Mia gasp. The girl rushed to continue her steps towards the living room and reached the main door.

Mia left the house feeling uncertain.
