KINGS THEATRE BROOKLYN.
Joking and occasionally blasting her laughter, Mia held Brandon's hand out of the studio room where they had just finished watching a comedy movie.
"Uuffh .. is so cold" Mia murmured as they were outside the old-fashioned movie theater. The girl rubbed - rubbed her palms together shivering in the cold. Gloves do not seem to be able to dispel the piercing cold. Snow began to fall and covered the branches of the leafless trees around them. The streets also looked white.
Brandon took off his thick scarf and put it on Mia's neck so she felt warm. Her winter knit hat was attached to Mia's head and gently stroked it.
"Better?" ask Brandon.
"Uh - huh," said Mia while smiling.
"Hungry already?"
"Yep!"
"Mac And Cheese, maybe?" Brandon offers a dinner menu.
"Hmm .. good idea," said Mia happy.
The two walked towards the old ford car parked not far from them. Shortly afterwards, Brandon drove his car slowly out of Flath Bush Ave, where the Kings Theatre was located, towards Brooklyn's main street.
.
.
Mia looked at the plate of Macaroni and Cheese that had just been served by the Mexican restaurant waiter where she and Brandon were currently.
His eyes focused on his plate but his mind was again tethered to the woman who was with Ben this afternoon. His chest rumbled back. Even now it feels a little pain.
"Hey, what's wrong?" brandon asked when she saw Mia's manyun mouth and grim face.
"Huh?" Mia gasp. "It's okay, just remembered something that sucks."
Mia picked up her Mac And Cheese piece and started feeding herself. "Hmm .. delicious," he murmured.
"There's some cheese on your lips" Brandon said, touching the corner of Mia's lips and sweeping it with his finger.
Mia grimacing. Then continue to eat his food enthusiastically.
"It seems like I'm starting to understand how you feel, Brand," Mia said after finishing her meal.
"What do I feel?"
"Yeah."
"What do you mean?"
"Liking someone in silence."
Brandon narrowed his hazel eyes and looked at Mia in surprise. "Why did you say that?"
"Your love story infects me." Mia chuckles.
"Are you the same fate as me?" brandon Goda.
Mia propped up her chin with both backs of her hands. "Looks."
"Karma really does exist" Brandon murmured.
"What did you say?" asked Mia who had not paid much attention to Brandon's words just now.
"Owh, no, no, nothing. Forget it."
Mia breathed deeply - deeply. Then she lifted her eyes out the restaurant window. His feelings returned uncertain.
What are you doing with that woman, Mr. The chevalier?
.
.
"You got a cigarette?"
Mia rested her back on Brandon's old ford car, on the side of the semi-long-haired-style man.
"When did you smoke?" brandon asked as he reached into his jacket pocket and took out a pack of cigarettes and gave them to the girl.
"Since now." Mia pulled a cigarette out of her pack and reached out her hand to Brandon to ask for a match. Brandon did not welcome Mia's hand, but took the initiative to light a cigarette in between the fingers of the girl.
"Thanks." -."
Mia smoked her cigarette deep, but soon after the girl coughed as a result of cigarette smoke that felt pain hit her lungs.
"Hey, easy, girl." Brandon patted - pat Mia's back slowly. The girl was still coughing - coughing.
"There are no cigarettes as good as Indonesian cigarettes with clove taste," he grumbled. Then he chuckled and continued his cigarette.
"You're not okay?" Brandon guess.
Mia raised her hand. Hinted that he was okay.
"Get me a drink."
Brandon rolled his eyes at the sweet girl beside him.
"What?"
"Hot chocolate?"
Mia clucking. Then he rolled his eyes. "Drink. Something that contains alcohol."
"uh? Seriously?"
"Deadly serious."
"Since when did you ...."
"Since now. Come on!"
Mia put out her cigarette and threw it in the trash. Then open the car door and sit sweetly beside the wheel.
Brandon shrugged his shoulders not understanding. But soon after getting into the car.
"Bar Belly?"
Mia nodded.
.
.
BELLY BAR, BROOKLYN.
"Nigel, give us two glasses of Black Russian."
Brandon talks to a bartender named Nigel who he already knows. The thin-faced man smiled. Then looked towards Mia by narrowing her eyes.
"Lamia, are you drinking?" tanyanya. Because during Funeralopolis fill a regular show at Bar Belly, never once saw the girl come to drink - drink with her bandmates. The one being asked is just grimacing.
"Well, here are two glasses of Black Russian order Mr. Boyd," he said when he finished concocting drinks made from vodka and coffee.
"Thanks, Nigel," said Brandon, offering a glass of brown liquid complete with ice cubes to Mia.
"Slow down" he warned his beloved friend.
Mia sipped a little of her drink. A warm feeling spread through his throat. There is no significant obstacle in drinking the concoction of vodka and coffee because it tastes quite soft.
"Do you want to tell me something?" ask Brandon. Made Mia stop her drinking activities and look at her.
"Ha ha, didn't I tell you that my story is the same as yours."
"Well, maybe you want to tell me who he is? That guy you like" Brandon's fishing rod. Maybe he could already guess who the man Mia liked was.
"Hmm." Mia gulped back her drink. Then turned his body and propped him up with both elbows on the bar table. He looked around the room that looked crowded.
Mia gasped as she looked upstairs, looking like a long blond man who was tied up just like that, sitting down to enjoy his drink, faced with a woman who made her mind messed up and was filled with prejudice.
"Oh, Gosh," he went slowly. Then turn back to the bar table. Sipping his drink, again and again.
"Are you okay?" brandon asked who saw Mia slump her head against the table.
"Brand, take me home."
"Okay." Brandon spent the rest of his drink then took care of the payment with Nigel and gave the bartender a tip.
He takes Mia's hand and leads the girl out of the Belly Bar.
.
.
"Isn't that Mia" Marcus said as he looked down at the crowded bar.
Ben turned to Marcus, then looked down. He saw a long black haired girl being held by a man. Both of them stepped out of the bar.
"Who's Mia?" ask Hailey.
"Master violin Daren, she's a very sweet girl," Marcus chuckled. "But it seems like she already has a boyfriend," she said as she glanced at Mia and the man beside her who had just disappeared behind the bar door.
"Ah, the Asian girl I saw at Ben's house this afternoon," Hailey murmured.
Ben grabbed his glass and finished the filling. It seems like he is not in the mood to respond to words Marcus said.
"You're right, Marc, she's sweet. Isn't that right, Ben?" fishing line Hailey. Somehow his gut feeling was that Ben had the potential to like the girl.
Ben pulled his shoulder. "I never noticed."
Hailey smiled. There was a sense of relief in his chest hearing the blue-eyed man's words that still made him crazy. Although now he is trying to maintain his attitude, not as aggressive as before.
"I'm done." Ben moved from his seat. Take the wallet out of his pants and take out a few pieces of dollars and put them on the table.
"What's? We haven't even finished a bottle of whiskey yet" he protested.
"If you still want to be here please go ahead, Hailey can accompany you for a drink." Ben steps away from the astonished Marcus and Hailey.
"Would you come with me for a drink?" marcus asked Hailey after Ben.
Hailey shakes. "Let's just go!"
Marcus hissing. "Any," he muttered as he followed Hailey downstairs and caught up with Ben who had been there first.
