The deserted Tudor City. The early spring air is so cold. The leaves are scattered along the street that surrounds the apartment buildings that cluster together to form an area, with a garden in the middle.
"Are you going down?" ask Baras to Ben. Both were in a car parked in front of the apartment building inhabited by Laras. A question that may be just a pleasantries. But in his heart Laras hoped that the man would agree. Ben looked at the clock on the dashboard of his car. Shows at 8:00 p.m., with the New York sky still bright.
"It looks like I still have a little time for a bottle of wine" Ben said. Smile expands.
"Okay." The barrel immediately got off the car followed by Ben. The barrel goes ahead of Ben who follows him from behind. Both were lost behind the elevator doors.
The elevator door opened, Laras rushed to his door. But his steps stopped and his eyes were fixed on a black-haired man sitting on a sofa between two doors in the middle of the corridor. Ben who was walking behind him stopped.
The black-coated man looked sparkling at Laras. But his smile faded when he looked at the figure of Ben who was also looking at him.
"James," said Laras with a choked throat. It was as if he could not believe that the man was now in front of him. After their epic quarrel a few months ago and the man chose to leave the apartment they rented together. Scratching such a deep wound in Laras heart and also the financial hardships that must be experienced.
"Laras, hi," said James with a smile that has not been too forgotten Baras.
"What are you doing here?" That's all that came out of Laras' lips.
James, the man, Laras' ex-lover, instead of answering immediately looked back at Ben. Of course he knew who was standing next to that Baras. Benjamin Chevalier's. The famous Frontman The Rebellion. Then why did Laras end up with him? Are they in a relationship? Questions ran through his head.
"Laras, who is he?" ask Ben. Ben's voice broke the tension between the three.
"Ouh .. This is James, he .. emm ...." Laras did not continue his words. His tongue suddenly fell.
"Barle's girlfriend" I'm James, holding out a hand to shake Ben's hand.
Laras. What did James say?
Ben welcomed James' hand. His face revealed a deep dislike for the man.
"An ex-boyfriend, exactly?" satirize Ben with his cynical smile.
James drew his hand and flipped his palm. Marking "between yes and no" in response to Ben's innuendo.
Ben's phone ringing again broke the tension between the three.
"Wait a second" Ben said, gesturing to Laras with his index finger.
Ben checked his phone. The name of Jack the manager is on the screen.
"Yes?" greet Ben as soon as the phone is connected.
"You're in Manhattan?" Jack's voice sounded faint.
"Uh-huh."
"Hurry to the studio, there are some important things to discuss."
"city .. I'll be there soon." Ben hung up. Then look towards the bar. She did not want to leave Laras with her ex-boyfriend. Important business awaits him.
"Emm .. you're gonna be okay?" ben asked, glancing at James.
"Yes, it's okay." replied Laras. Her heart was breaking, like she didn't want Ben to leave.
"Are you sure?" ask Ben back. Making sure the barrel is really going to be okay. If only Laras had asked him not to leave then Ben would have thought of putting his affairs aside.
"Yes," answered the short barrel. Don't go, Ben!
"Call me or text me if you need anything, Laras," Ben said as soon as he let go of his hug on the girl.
"I'm gonna miss you" said Ben as he stroked Laras' cheek. The girl replied with a hand in Ben's palm that touched her red cheek.
The barrel swallowed his saliva heavily,
looking at Ben who was smiling towards her until the elevator door closed and the smile that was so Laraas liked was gone.
"Roof," call James. The barrel hurriedly turned his body and faced James. "Aren't you going to tell me to come in?" tanyanya.
Laras sighed softly. Step towards the door of his apartment. Open it and let James in.
"You changed the decor a little bit?" james said as he walked around the narrow room.
"No, I'm just changing the location of the sofa" Laras replied as he pointed at the soft brown sofa.
"You look thinner, but you still look beautiful" James said. Tilting his face while looking at meyu towards Laras.
"James, what do you want to see me again?" ask Laras without further ado.
"I miss you," James replied making Laras' chest swish.
"Why?" ask cold barrel. Sure enough, miss after what this man did to her, Inner Laras.
"I know I made a mistake, I lost my way."
Baras smiled cynically.
"Whatever it is no longer important, James," said Laras.
"I intend to ask for your forgiveness and repair our relationship."
Baras. Didn't he hear wrong.
"I know, Laras, this surprises you, I won't force you to answer now, I'll give you time to think."
Laras really could not believe what he had just heard. His chest rumbled withstanding anger. This man easily left and reappeared as he pleased.
The barrel walked towards the door. "James, I'm tired, I want to rest" Laras said as he opened the door, gently driving James away.
"I'll wait for you Laras." James gently touched Barrel's shoulder. Then step out of the room.
The barrel closes the door back. Breathing repeatedly. Why does the man who had difficulty forgetting, and incised a sense of trauma to re-establish a relationship with another man, reappear suddenly like this, his screams in the heart.
Laras threw the coat that still wrapped his body in any place. He threw his tiny body on the bed. Then close his eyes and hope to head to dreamland quickly.
The phone in his pants pocket is shaking. Looks like a message came in. Soon Laras checked his phone screen.
"Related, is everything okay?"
Message from Ben, complete with emoticons of his worried face. Barrel smiled.
His heart was filled with strange feelings for the flamboyant guitarist, no place for anyone else, not even for the love he once adored.
