84. Didak

After finishing eating Daniel and Karima returned to Daniel's office which was on Rasuna Said street. Daniel still has to sign the documents.

“Bu Karima sit down first. I still have to check the documents,” Daniel said.

“What mom want to drink?” ask Daniel.

“White water only,” Karima replied.

Daniel opens his study door and calls Lisa.

“Lis, bring water for Ms Karima and me!” said Daniel.

“Good, Sir,” replied Lisa.

Daniel closed the door of his study and headed to the pantry in his room. He took two jars from the pantry. He put the two jars on the sofa table.

“I forgot that I still have a snack. Please eat it, Mom. It's nice not to be upset waiting for me,” said Daniel. Daniel's back at his desk.

“Thank you, Mr. Daniel,” said Karima.

Karima opened the jar and took a cake. When he ate it it tasted good. Karima read the label attached to the jar. Apparently it's a famous cake and it's expensive. The cake tasted good because it was expensive.

Daniel watched Karima eat the cake.

“Not cake?” ask Daniel.

“Enak, Sir,” Karima replied.

“Please if you like. I will buy again,” Daniel said.

Karima ate her cake while reading the messages that went into her phone.

After Daniel finished signing the documents they returned again to their office in South Tangerang. All the way not a word came out of their mouths. They are busy with their own thoughts.

They finally arrived at the office. Daniel and Karima got out of the car. They walked to their workspace. Once in the workspace, Daniel is confronted with a stack of documents that must be signed. Daniel checks the documents one by one before being signed while Karima continues his pending work.

After signing the document, Daniel went home.

“I go home first,” Daniel said.

“Ya, Sir,” Karima replied.

“Don't come home too late! Poor kids waiting at home,’ Daniel said.

“Good, Sir,” answered Karima.

“Greetings dear to children,” said Daniel.

Karima was silent for a moment hearing Daniel's words. Daniel saw Karima's face. He was afraid Karima was angry.

“Well I will convey.” Karima finally answered Daniel. Daniel smiled at it. He breathed a sigh of relief.

“Greetings dear also to Mama children,” Daniel said with a smile.

Karima sighed. Daniel did a lot of work to get his attention. “Waalaikumsalam,” Karima replied.

“I go home first. Assalamualaikum,” Daniel said.

“Waalaikumsalam,” Karima replied.

Daniel walked towards the cliff but he suddenly looked back. “Ngot between prospective husbands up to the bottom?” daniel asked with a faint smile.

Karima sighed. Ever since Daniel proposed to her, Daniel has been a pleasure to tease her.

“No, I still have a lot to do,” Karima replied.

“Happy work, yes. Spirit!” Daniel clenched his palm into the air. Karima replied by clenching her hands into the air as well. After that, Daniel went into the cliff. Finally Karima breathed a sigh of relief because he could return to work without anyone bothering.

Karima was busy with the documents in front of her. Suddenly the intercom on the table rang. He raised intercom.

“Ya, Uri,” Karima said. His eyes focused on the computer screen.

“There are those who want to meet with Mr. Daniel and Ms. Karima,” replied Uri.

“Who?” ask Karima.

“Pak Dandi and Ibu Gita,” replied Uri.

Karima was shocked to hear that.

“You take them upstairs!  They are the parents of Mr. Daniel,” Karima said.

Karima moved from her seat. He's headed to Daniel's office. Karima knocked on Daniel's office door. “Sign in,” replied Daniel.

Karima opened the door to Daniel's office. “What's up, Miss Karima?” ask Daniel.

“Pak Dandi and Ibu Gita came here,” Karima replied.

Daniel was shocked to hear that. “Where are they now?” ask Daniel.

“Still in the lobby. I told Uri to take him to the top,” Karima replied.

“If they come, just tell them to come in,” Daniel said.

“Good, Sir,” answered Karima.

Karima closed Daniel's office door. He returned to his desk and resumed his work.

A few minutes later Pak Dandi and Ibu Gita arrived upstairs in between by Uri. Karima got up from her seat and approached Pak Dandi and Ms. Gita.

“How are you, Karima?” Mother Gita immediately hugged and cipika cipiki Karima.

“Alhamdullilah, good Bu Gita,” Karima replied.

“Daniel is there?” ask Mr. Dandi.

“There, Sir. Let's please.” Karima takes Mr. Dandi and Ms. Gita to Daniel Daniel's study.

Karima opened the door to Daniel's office.

“Please enter, Mr. Bu.” Karima let them into Daniel's room.

Daniel moved from his seat and approached his parents. He kissed his parents' hands.

“Why not tell me first if you want to come here?” ask Daniel.

“Mothers want to see your office. All Papa also want to see Papa's new business,” replied Mr. Dandi.

Mr. Dandi and Ms. Gita sat on the sofa. Daniel also sat on the sofa accompanying his parents.

“Bapak and Mommy want to drink what?” ask Karima.

“Jus is, isn't it?” ask Gita's mother.

“Nothing, Mom. But if you want I can ask people to buy juice for Mom,” replied Ibu Gita.

“I want soursop juice,” says Ibu Gita.

“Papa want what?” ask Gita's mother.

“Soursop juice too,” replied Mr. Dandi.

“I also soursop juice,” says Daniel.

“You order juice too!” daniel told Karima.

“Good, Sir. I ordered.”

Karima walked out of Daniel's room to the ground floor. He was looking for an office boy to be told to buy juice. After he told the office boy, Karima returned to his desk. He continued his work.

Suddenly Daniel's office door opened, Gita's mother came out of Daniel's room.

“Karima, why didn't you join us?” ask Gita's mother.

“There is still a work that I have to finish,” Karima replied.

“Later when you're done joining us, yes!” mother of Gita.

“Good, Mom,” answered Karima.

Gita's mother reenters Daniel's room so Karima can continue her work.

Thirty minutes later the office boy Imroni came bearing Karima's order. Imroni put a plastic bag containing juice on the table.

“Thank you,” said Karima.

Karima arranged the juice on a tray and took it to Daniel's room.

“Finally the juice comes too. Papa is thirsty,” said Mr. Dandi when Karima entered the room carrying juice. Karima put the juice on the sofa table.

“Rim, I ask white,” says Ibu Gita.

Karima picked up the glass in Daniel's pantry. He filled it with mineral water and put it in front of the table. After that Karima came out of Daniel's room and went back to his desk.
