46. Papahs

“Mia. Wake up baby!” adrian said anxiously. He held a bottle of eucalyptus oil close to Mia's nose so that the smell of eucalyptus oil was inhaled by Mia.

“Daniel. You find a doctor and bring it here!” exclaim Mr. Dandi.

“Iya, Pah.” Daniel exits Adrian's room and heads out of the house. He went to the doctor by car.

Meanwhile in Adrian's room, Adrian is trying to wake Mia up. “Mia. Wake up baby!” Adrian patted Mia's cheek to get Mia up. While Mr. Dandi sat on the edge of the bed while kneeling Mia's legs.

Suddenly Mia moved, she began to wake up.

“Alhamdullilah,” says Adrian saw Mia moving. Mia opened her eyes and looked at the people around her.

“Mas,” says Mia when seeing her husband.

“Finally you wake up.” Adrian was relieved to see his wife was awake.

“So you fainted. Mas anxious to see you do not wake up,” continued Adrian. Mia turned to Mr. Dandi. Mr. Dandi looked at Mia anxiously.

“Mas get a drink first, yes.” Adrian stood up from the bed.

“Let Om take a drink,” said Mr. Dandi.

“You accompany Mia.” Mr. Dandi walked towards the door when he opened the door Daniel was walking towards the room with a female doctor.

“Pah. Mia is awake, not yet?” ask Daniel.

“Already. Just woke up,” replied Mr. Dandi.

“Come in! Papah wants to get a drink for Mia,” said Mr. Dandi.

Daniel invites the doctor into Mia's room. After being inside the room he approached Mia's bed.

“Dri, the doctor has arrived,” Daniel told Adrian. Adrian looked back. A doctor was standing at the end of the bed. Adrian stood up.

“Please, Doc.” Adrian gave way so that the doctor could examine Mia. The doctor approached Mia. He took out a stethoscope and a tensimeter. Mr. Dandi entered the room with drinking water.

“Dri, here's the drinking water.” Mr. Dandi gave a glass filled with drinking water to Adrian.

“Thank you, Om,” Adrian said. Adrian keeps drinking water on the nightstand because Mia will be checked by a doctor.

“I check first yes, Bu.” The doctor put a tensimeter in Mia's arm, the tensimeter started working. Shortly thereafter, the results came out.

“Low motherhood tension. Is your tension always low?” ask doctor.

“I don't know, Doc. I am rarely in tension,” replied Mia.

“Say my maid, my wife is dizzy and nauseous after smelling the onion smell,” Adrian said.

“So, yes?” ask doctor.

Doctors examined Mia's chest and abdomen with a stethoscope. The doctor finished examining Mia.

“When was Mom last menstruating?” ask doctor. Mia thought for a moment before answering.

“If not wrong more than a month ago,” replied Mia. The doctor smiled at Mia's response.

“How is my wife, Doc?” adrian asked worriedly.

“There is a possibility that your wife is pregnant. Later try tested using testpack,” replied the doctor. Adrian immediately heard the doctor's answer. He was shocked to hear it.

“Are my wife pregnant?” adrian asked in disbelief.

“Bapak will know the results if it has been tested with testpack,” replied the doctor.

“Good, Doc,” replied Adrian.

“I'm sorry,” said the doctor. The doctor came out of the room and was escorted by Daniel.

“You didn't drive the doctor home?” ask Mr. Dandi to Daniel.

“Ngak, Pah. Daniel told Mr. Eko to take the doctor home,” Daniel replied. Mr. Eko is the driver of Mr. Dandi.

“Then we go home now. Let Mia rest,” Mr. Dandi told Daniel.

“Iya, Pah,” replied Daniel.

Mr. Dandi approached Adrian and Mia.

“Adrian. Om pamit go home,” said Mr. Dandi. He was resigned if Mia did not want to accept him as a papah. This is all because of his mistakes that have abandoned his son and wife. What's important is that Mia already knows who the papa is.

“Iya, Om,” Adrian replied.

“Mia, Om go home first,” said to Mr. Dandi. Mia just kept quiet and didn't answer anything. There was disappointment in Mr. Dandi's face when Mia did not answer his words.

Daniel patted Mr. Dandi on the shoulder. “Already, Pah. Give Mia time to think,” Daniel said. Mr. Dandi nodded in agreement.

“Mia. Mas go home, yes,” said Daniel. Daniel changes his call after finding out who Mia is his sister. How happy Daniel was to know he had a sister. Even though he knew his sister was the girl he liked. For decades she had no sister because her mother had uterine cancer so her uterus had to be removed.

“Iya, Mr. Daniel,” replied Mia. He called Daniel as usual.

Patience Daniel patience. Sooner or later Mia will admit that you are her brother, Daniel said in his heart.

“Come, Pah!” said Daniel.

“Assalamualaikum,” said Mr. Dandi and Daniel.

“Waalaikumsalam,” Adrian replied.

Mr. Dandi and Daniel walked out of Mia's room but when Daniel opened the room door, suddenly “Papah.” Mia called Mr. Dandi. Mr. Dandi looked back. Mia looked at Mr. Dandi with tears.

“What will Papah leave Mia again?” mia asked sadly.

“Of course not. Mia princess Papah. Papah will not leave Mia for a second time,” replied Mr. Dandi happily. Mia raised both her hands, she wanted to be hugged by Mr. Dandi. Adrian gets out of bed and gives a place for Mr. Dandi to get close to Mia.

Mr. Dandi approached Mia and hugged Mia. Her daughter from birth never felt the embrace and affection from her. Mr. Dandi stroked his daughter's veil.

“Excuse Papah, Mia. Forgive Papah who laid you down. Papah will make up for all the mistakes Papah has made,” said Mr. Dandi with regret.

Adrian let father and son miss each other. He got out of his room and went to the pharmacy to buy a testpack. He wondered what the doctor had said.

Fifteen minutes later Adrian came from the pharmacy. He brought a plastic bag into the room. Mia was sitting together with Mr. Dandi on the bed while leaning on the headboard. Mia was listening to Mr. Dandi tell her about the beginning of Mr. Dandi meeting with Erin's mother. While Daniel was sleeping next to Mia while watching television.

Adrian put a plastic bag on the nightstand. Mia glanced at the plastic bag placed by Adrian. “That's what, Mas?” ask Mia curious.

“Testpack,” Adrian replied.

“Try Mia to see,” says Mia. Adrian took the plastic bag and gave it to Mia. Mia opened the plastic bag. In the plastic bag there is a testpack with a considerable amount with various brands.

“For what is this much testpack?” asked Mia while paying attention to the testpack one by one.

“To test you are pregnant or not,” replied Adrian.

“Do not buy much. Just one, because it is used only one,” said Mr. Dandi.

“Nothing, Om. Uh, Pah. If it fails there is still another backup,” replied Adrian.

“Hei, Adrian. If the result is negative let it be tested with another testpack still the result is negative,” Daniel said with a gemes to Adrian.

“Perhaps even one result is negative, the other result is positive,” Adrian said casually.
