Hanifa For Devan

Hanifa For Devan
Dad's Story

It was already 11:00 noon when all the members took a break and decided to end the training today. Before leaving home, Hanifa and choose to rest on the long bench under the mango tree while enjoying the drink that has been bought.

While enjoying her drink, Hanifa remembered Devan. Especially the plan when going to ask Devan about the news. But his intention was void because Wafi called out to him.

”Woy. Ngevir nya ni son. Ntar kesambet jin Ifrit smell tau tau rasa,” Ayyan's lips that have been held by the girl next to him.

"Astagfirullah, Ayyan. Just ngagetin," grumbled Hanifa immediately shifted the position so that his friend could sit down.

"What do you think of, to the point that my presence is unconscious?" ask Ayyan.

Hanifa took a deep breath and let out a slow. “Ayy, you know what? Yesterday in the library Devan suddenly fainted."

Ayyan widened her eyes in shock. “Seriously, Fa?"

Hanifa nodded. “Iya, Ayy. And more surprisingly, his hands were cold when his body was hot."

“Terus?"

“Yes, I tried to find help and thank God there was a sister Wafi who brought her to the UKS."

“Bentent, deh. That was the leader of the ceremony, not Devan? Is she sick, how can she practice?"

Hanifa shook her head slowly. He also did not know why the guy was training. “That's food, Ayy. I was gonna try to ask him how he is, but the hunt is called Sister Wafi."

Ayyan looks mangosteen. Maybe you understand Hanifa's explanation. “Yeah, what a pity. But I hope it's okay, yeah."

“Aamiin," said Hanifa. "Yes Ayy, we're home, yuk!"

The two of them finally came home after a little dark cloud graced Garut's sky back then.

At the same time, Devan also chose to go home when the water droplets began to flutter the earth. He took off his motorbike despite the rain completely drenching his body.

Upon arriving at his home, Devan was greeted with the presence of doctor Arif who had put on a firm face.

“Doctor? Why is the doctor here?" devan asked, not paying attention to his brother's gaze.

“Devan, Om have kindly allowed you to be treated at home and now? You go to practice and come home soaked.”

Devan breathed heavily. He knew that the man would say something like this. Again.

“OK, Doc. I thank you for letting me go home. But I'm fine already. I don't want this disease to take my life."

“Yes, Om understands. But you have to promise Om that you have to keep your health and rest regularly."

Devan nodded. To him, doctor Arif was a second papa to him. He could feel the affection of a papa ever since he met her. So no wonder Devan prefers to hear the words of Dr. Arif rather than Jihan, his own brother.

“Yes already, then now you take a shower and change clothes. After that take medicine and rest," said Dr. Arif.

“Iya, Doc. Excuse me," he replied and went straight to his room.

Jihan who had noticed her sister's chat with doctor Arif also thanked her for coming and caring for her stubborn sister. Jihan hopes, hopefully her sister can recover as usual.

“Doctor wants to go home?"

“Yes, Son Jihan. There are still many patients in the hospital. Then, um say yes."

“Iya, Om. Thank you so much, yes, for helping Devan."

Doctor Arif smiled. "Together, Son. It has become my duty. After all, you two are the trust of Om's late friend, Yusuf," he said. "Then, Om said goodbye, yes. Assalamualaikum."

"Be careful, Om. ." atalaikumussalam."

After the departure of Arif's doctor, Jihan immediately tells bi Mar to make warm tea for Devan and deliver him to Devan's room.

“Hanifa," call ummi Fatimah from the kitchen.

Hearing her name called, Hanifa who was busy writing immediately moved. “Ummi call Ifa?" he said after reaching the kitchen.

Umm Fatimah who was busy with cake batter in her hand turned her head. "Can you please buy me the same sugar flour at the stall, son?"

Hanifa quickly nodded. "Can, Um. How much to buy?"

“Everything is 3 kilos, yes. The money's in the front drawer."

“Ya already then Ifa go first yes Umm. Assalamualaikum."

It didn't take long to get to the stall where Hanifa used to buy the ingredients. But unfortunately, the materials Hanifa needed in the stall were already depleted. So he had to walk a little further to the supermarket near the highway.

After all the ingredients were complete, Hanifa immediately went home. But his steps stopped when someone called out to him.

“Hanifa," the voice of the baritone he so longed for was suddenly in front of him

“Dad?" call Hanifa smile. Spontaneously, he immediately kissed the back of a man's precious hand in his life.

“What's dad doing here?"

“Later Dad story, yes. Now I want Hanifa to accompany me to lunch. Can you?"

Hanifa immediately nodded. Since I first met Dr. Arif

as a child, Hanifa really felt the figure of a father from her. But Hanifa sometimes still calls Arif's doctor with a call om even though Arif's doctor has told him to call with a father's call.

But that doesn't matter to Dr. Arif. Whatever his nickname was, he still loved Hanifa like his biological son.

Even so unfortunately, Arif's doctor has successfully adopted Hanifa since the age of 5 years at one of the hospitals where she interned first. But because she was not ready to leave her umminya, Hanifa chose to stay in the orphanage until she graduated high school.

After driving for a few minutes, they finally arrived at their destination. A luxury restaurant that is already quite famous in the city, and it was once Hanifa's dream to bring umminya eat there but has not been delivered.

Doctor Arif parked the car. Then he sent Hanifa in. After ordering some food, Dr. Arif opened the conversation.

“How is ummi, son?"

“Alhamdulillah, Ummi well, Well."

“Alhamdulillah."

“Oh yes, Dad when to Bandung? Any errands here?" hanifa asked as she looked at her father's face with a smile. It had been a long time since he had seen that shady face.

Doctor Arif nodded while sipping his cappucino, and prepared to tell a story. “Iya, darling. Actually Dad will move the task to Bandung, but because there are some things that Dad has not finished there, so Dad can not live in Bandung. And also I have a patient, he's the son of his best friend Dad. Om Yusuf, his son has a brain tumor.”

Hanifa was surprised to hear that. He was concerned about the child his father told him about.

“Innalillahi wa innailaihi. So now how is it going, Dad?"

“New tumor studium 2. But he did not want to be hospitalized and opted for outpatient treatment. For now, Dad only gives medicine to reduce his pain.”

Hanifa let out a heavy breath. I felt what that figure felt. "It's so sorry."

“Iya son. His parents no longer live with him. Her mother is Swedish and married to Joseph while she was pursuing her doctorate there.”

“I mean Father?"

“Iya. Her father died 10 years ago. After that, her mother chose to return to Sweden and there was no news until now."

Hanifa could feel the feelings of the child her father meant.

“But he's a great kid. He never forgot the prayer. As long as Dad took care of him, he always asked permission to join the congregation." Doctor Arif told the figure with an amazed face.

“Can he be cured, Dad?"

Doctor Arif smiled. "God never brings down a disease without a cure, and as long as the man is willing to try it will be cured, no matter how severe the disease.

I'm sure he'll be cured. Because he's a strong boy. Although stubborn, but he never wanted to trouble others," he said again.

Hanifa let out a sigh of relief. "Alhamdulillah then," he said.

“She's a child or married Well?" ask Hanifa again. Apparently, he was very curious about the figure his father was telling him.

“He's the same age as you, son. Oh, yeah maybe Dad has his picture. You wanna see?"

Hanifa nodded excitedly. Soon Dr. Arif reached into his pants pocket. Search for a cell phone then search for some photos in his cell phone gallery. After finding the photo he was looking for, he handed the intended photo to Hanifa.

Hanifa received the phone. His eyes narrowed, trying to guess the person in the photo. The two thick eyebrows instantly united.

“It ...."

Hanifa still could not believe what she saw. But before making his heart sadder, he handed the phone to his father.
