Hanifa For Devan

Hanifa For Devan
The Hard-Brained

"Assalamualaikum, son Jihan. Is Devan home?" ask Dr. Arif from the phone.

“Ahh Yes. Please don't let him out of the house today, yeah. Om will be there, soon to arrive," continued Dr. Arif again.

After hanging up the phone, Arif's doctor drove out his car. Half an hour later they reached their destination. Two guards immediately opened the gate when they saw Doctor Arif's car.

Just getting out of the car, Jihan was already waiting at the door. "Om Arif," greeted Jihan at the door. "Alhamdulillah Om has arrived."

"Did the symptoms recur?" ask Dr. Arif a little worried.

Jihan immediately shook her head. “No Om. It's just that Devan was going to come out, but I forced him to wait for a while."

Doctor Arif breathed a sigh of relief. “Alhamdulillah Devan is okay. Now where is he?"

“There's inside, Om. Let's get in!"

They also enter. No exception Hanifa. Apparently Devan was already waiting in the living room with a cell phone in his hand. Devan was quite surprised as his eyes fell on Hanifa.

Seeing the change in Devan's face when he saw it, Hanifa lowered her head. He did not dare to look at Devan's face.

“How are you doing, Son Devan?"

Devan takes his eyes off the phone screen. “I'm good, Doc."

Doctor Arif smiled hearing that. He went to Devan's place to check his condition and temperature.

“Alhamdulillah was not as bad as yesterday. After this, you should care more about your health," said Dr. Arif gave advice.

"Hm," Devan replied briefly.

“Oh, yes, Devan. This is Hanifa, son of om. Hanifa will be replacing om's duties for a while. Because lately, the om schedule is getting denser. Hence, Hanifa will help me to take care of your needs during this outpatient," explained Dr. Arif. It succeeded in publishing a frown on the man's forehead.

“You don't worry. Om will come every Sunday to check your condition and your health development during the supervision of Hanifa. Although om can not always come to take care of you, but om hope you still maintain health and take medication regularly. And om sure, son om Hanifa can run the task om well."

"But, Doc, I'm no papa. I don't think I need a doctor or a nurse anymore, let alone like this girl." Devan shrinks the volume at the end of the sentence.

Hanifa felt a little offended hearing Devan's words just now. But he can't be weak. It's all he's done for his father and his future. That'sallthatis.

“Devan, om know you will not want and agree with this. But if you don't want to heal for the sake of om, at least do it for the sake of your papa," Arif's doctor tried to convince Devan.

I love Devan so much. Probably because my dad was Devan's best friend. O Allah, open Devan's heart to agree with all this. For her healing. Hanifa said in her heart.

After thinking for a long time, Devan finally relented. If it wasn't for his respect for the doctor Arif whom he already considered papa himself, perhaps he would have preferred not to be cured rather than to be cared for by Hanifa.

Indeed, during this time Devan is very rare even almost never interact with others including women, except with his family or classmates.

“Alhamdulillah if Nak Devan has agreed. So, from tomorrow on Hanifa will replace father's duties here. I'll bring you here, yeah."

“Nevent gone, Dad. Ifa can take a taxi or taxi online," reject Hanifa smooth.

Hearing his daughter's wish, Doctor Arif smiled. “Ya already, it's up to Ifa," he said while packing his goods.

“Then we say goodbye, yes, Nak Jihan, Devan," he said again after their business was done.

“Kok fast Om? Bi Mar just made some tea."

"Sorry can't take long, son Jihan. There is still work in the hospital. Om came here also want to tell Devan about this, so that tomorrow is not surprised by the arrival of Hanifa." Dr. Arif gave an explanation.

"Thank you Om, for taking care of Devan so far."

“That's my job, son Jihan. Then say goodbye, yes. Assalamualaikum."

Devan who had been silent since then finally spoke.  "Be careful Doc" he said.

Doctor Arif smiled and nodded. Before leaving with her father, Hanifa looked at Devan. And right then Devan was also looking at it with a face that was difficult to guess. Soon Hanifa averted her eyes and bid farewell as well.

Jihan drove them to the front door. Devan went straight to his room. While sitting on the balcony of his room, he secretly saw doctor Arif's car out the gate. Then he turned to look at his bandaged hand.

Why is it my destiny to meet a girl. So it's got a gini wound, right? muttered Devan then went inside because the weather was very cold.

Time goes by so fast. No one can stop, resign or advance it. In life, when a person feels happy, he wants to stop the moment so that happiness stays with him.

From the combination of colors, it will produce something beautiful. In fact, God never promised that life is always white, nor did he ever set life always black. But blending all the colors of life into a beautiful rainbow.

God gives happiness so that man can be grateful with his heart. God gives a test so that man can learn the importance of gratitude, and judge man to what extent he knows His God.

If he really knew Him, he would be patient and aware of the nature of the test.

That the test actually trains humans to be strong and mature. If he made it through, then he had already made a huge profit.

Sayyidina Ali Bin Abi Talib r.a., once said Be sure there is something waiting for you after so much patience (which you live), which will make you stunned until you forget how painful the pain is.

The pearl is what Hanifa always holds in living this life. He always believed that his struggle during this time there would be a result. Allah is All-Seeing, nothing escapes His sight.

After reading the contents of her diary, Hanifa turned to look at the calendar beside her. Circling important dates with its red marker, as well as providing information below it.

“Monday next semester, one week off. Early January tutoring, mid February practice exams. And mid-March the end of the exam, precisely the National Examination," he murmured to himself.

The cling!

The voice of the mobile phone stopped its activity, a sign that there was an incoming message. Soon he grabbed his phone not far from his seat. Then open.

...Father ♡...

Assalamualaikum.

Already sleeping?

Dad wants to tell you

if Devan's medicine had been put in the bag that I loved yesterday.

^^^Waalaikumussalam.^^^

^^^Not Well. ^^^

^^^Nanti Ifa check again yes,^^^

Yes, it is, then,

Ifa sleep is not too late.

^^^Yes, Dad.^^^

^^^Did have eaten?^^^

Already, Son.

Oh yeah, I already told the driver

personal dad to shuttle Ifa.

So, Ifa does not need to take a taxi or

angkot, yes.

^^^Thank you, Dad.^^^

Equally, Son.

Now Ifa rest yes.

Hanifa closed her phone. He was happy after talking to his father, even if only for a short while. Hanifa was very knowledgeable about her father's activities as a surgeon. Despite only being an adoptive father, for Hanifa the doctor Arif was already the perfect father for her.

So is the doctor Arif, even though only an adopted child, but the love of doctor Arif to Hanifa exceeds the affection of a real father to his child. And that made Hanifa very grateful.

Afterwards, Hanifa rushed over to check the bag given by her father this afternoon. In it there are already several sheets of medicine with different sizes.

Then close it again and immediately prepare the book for tomorrow's lesson. Don't forget to prepare his heart to face the ice age like Devan tomorrow.
