Hanifa For Devan

Hanifa For Devan
The Other Side of Devan

The afternoon sun was a little cold. Not too hot like yesterday. The wind blows softly to give coolness to everyone who is spending the afternoon before the afternoon in the beautiful park.

Same is the case with the long hijab woman who is now busy struggling with her book and pen. Occasionally glanced at the tall, strapping man in an ash-white uniform and wrapped in a black jacket, buying something in a small shop on the edge of the park.

Sometimes he exchanged greetings with some children who were playing bicycles around the park. It looked like there was no wound in his eye. He didn't even look like an ice man that made everyone upset when faced with him.

“Is he not as bad as I thought?" Hanifa muttered as she watched Devan who was joking with the little boy who also bought something.

“Who?" Devan's voice shocked him.

Hanifa immediately closed the book so that the man did not see what he wrote earlier. "Nothing,” he replied later.

Without making a sound, Devan offered Hanifa a bottle of water. Hanifa's hand immediately accepted it, because since at the bookstore she was very thirsty.

"Devan," call Hanifa.

“Hm."

“Still, yes."

Keeping his eyes around the park, Devan sipped his drink slowly. “Make what?"

“Create books as drinks."

“Gue is a good person" said Devan, praising himself.

Hanifa grunts. He didn't think Devan was that PD. Then he glanced at his watch, suddenly taking out a few pieces of medicine from his ash bag.

“This."

Devan. "What?"

“It's time to take Devan's medicine. It's three minutes late." Hanifa opened a few pieces of medicine and placed them beside Devan.

Devan grunts. His face had also turned irritated. "I don't think I'm bribing you either."

"What did you say?"

"There was, to a great extent, si," his grunts took the medicine that Hanifa had opened. Then put it in his mouth without any resistance. Seeing that, Hanifa smiled.

“What Lo smile? I see people suffering."

“I'm not happy to see people suffering, Van. I just want to see you heal." Hanifa tried to melt the ice in Devan slowly.

“What care do you?"

Hanifa let out her breath. “As a friend and aspiring doctor, I care about you, my patient."

Devan laughed briefly. “Gue does not need temen. Let alone humans like lo, snails," he argued.

“You said that, because you have no friends and you don't want to be friends with anyone. In reality, every human being cannot live alone, must need someone else. Just try to lose a little bit of your selfishness and make friends with others, surely your life will be a little colorful."

“Tell you don't." Devan tried not to hear everything that the woman beside him said by putting up her earphones, even though no song was playing.

“Devan. Maybe you feel alone in this world, and have no one."

Instantly, Devan's eyes turned to Hanifa with astonished faces. While the figure that is seen still focuses his gaze forward.

“I know about your family from dad. I understand your position very well, because I have also experienced it. I lost my parents in an accident when I was a toddler, and my father took me to the hospital where I was being treated. But since my father was not married at the time, he left me in an orphanage. And after he got married, his wife had a miscarriage. And that's when my father took me officially. But since I'm not ready to leave ummi, I chose to stay in the orphanage until now.”

Devan turned his body towards Hanifa with a face that he had difficulty interpreting its meaning.

“Udah? My ears are hot with the lecture from earlier," said Devan holding his right ear and leaving.

Hanifa swung her lips, annoyed. But there was happiness in his heart, because he had heard that his ears were hot to hear his chattering. Although annoying, at least Devan can take a little lesson and the meaning of life from the story just now. Thus, Hanifa hoped that Devan could pay more attention to his health.

Still trailing Devan, Hanifa tried to align her steps with him. Then followed Devan to the parking lot and rushed home.

On the way, the atmosphere was quiet. There is no conversation between the two. Until Devan's voice broke the silence.

“Snail. Which hp number?"

Hanifa stared intently at her interlocutor.

"What's? I'm wrong again?"

“Ha-ini-fa-title. My name is Hanifa, not a snail," he rebuked. “Lagian why the hell did you change my name at will? Ummi the goat victim one know to give me my name."

Hanifa snorted in annoyance. This time he was really upset.

Devan glanced at a glance. Seeing Hanifa's lips that advanced 2 inches, plus her tangled face made Devan unable to hold back his laughter.

“That's a big tangle to face, not yet ironed huh?" Devan laughed at Hanifa's face which looked already like shabby clothes.

Hanifa looked at Devan's face, which was laughing at her. He smiles. Spontaneous, the annoyance that had surrounded him instantly disappeared. This was his first time seeing a Devan laugh.

His tiny white teeth were neatly arranged on his thin lips, perfect with left dimples that made his face even more handsome. Unknowingly, Hanifa praised the perfection God had given her.

“What do you smile?" wonder Devan. Feeling noticed, Devan immediately restored his original cold face position.

“It turns out you can laugh too, huh?" hanifa Mumm.

“Gue is also human times. It is only natural that I laugh. Emang lo, snail. Slow.”

Hanifa nodded softly affirming Devan's words. Although this time Devan still called him a snail, it was fine for him because this time he had a plan that suddenly appeared in his brain.

“Oh, yes. You're a Boy Scout, would love the same challenge?" Hanifa tried to dilute her idea.

Devan took a quick look. "Why?" the answer is to focus on driving.

Hanifa smiled, Devan finally responded to what she said earlier. That was the sign, he responded to his plan this time.

“I have one challenge for you. If you succeed, I'll give you a gift."

“Gue does not need a gift from you." he refused. “But, btw can too. I am a courageous, determined and disciplined person. Not like Lo. Its very easy.”

Hanifa nodded excitedly. He did not want to say that Devan was indeed an arrogant person. Because indeed in the organization he is famous for the most disciplined child.

“OK. Means we deal, yes," said Hanifa is still excited.

“But you have to give me the most spectacular gift in the universe," Devan bargained and immediately got a nod from Hanifa.

Whatever he said, I don't care. The important thing is that he can solve this challenge. Inner Hanifa then smiled.
