Hanifa For Devan

Hanifa For Devan
A Good Heart

"Ayy, can you take my hand off first? It hurts," said Hanifa trying to take off her best friend's hand grip.

“Heh. Lo. Hands off!" timpal Devan was no less strong holding Hanifa's sleeves.

Ayyan was furious to see Devan who did not allow Hanifa to go with her. “It's my business with Hanifa, yes, and you don't interfere."

Seeing her best friend who looked at Devan's dislike face, Hanifa tried to calm the atmosphere. It's not good to make a scene early in the morning like this.

“Devan, I want to talk to Ayyan first," Hanifa said. At that instant Ayyan released her grip.

Unable to see Hanifa's face, Devan also took off Hanifa's sleeves and let them go.

"Ayy, we have to talk" Hanifa's pinta who then turns to pull her best friend's hand into the classroom.

“Now it's the same with me. Why were you in the hallway together with that street fridge?!" ask Ayyan who has now put her upset face complete with both hands folded in front of the chest.

Hanifa who felt she was in the interrogation room, took a deep breath while fixing her seat.

“Ayy, you misunderstood. I was there with Devan because there was business. It's not just the two of them. The other students there are also many who clean the page." Hanifa tried to explain in a very subtle word so that her best friend would not get angry anymore.

"When have you had the same business as your son?" ayyan asked a little suspiciously.

"Since I helped you work at Devan's house."

Ayyan rounded her eyes. “Wait. Your father, right, doctor, means that if he works at Devan's house, he takes Devan?"

“Iya, Ayy. I feel sorry for my father who has to go back and forth every day to Devan's house, while his schedule is always crowded in the hospital. That's why I helped my father at Devan's house" Hanifa explained.

Ayyan nodded. His face also looked a little calmer.

“So, you mean, Devan's on an outpatient basis like that?" Hanifa nodded. “Emang the Devan is sick what?"

Hearing that question, Hanifa fell silent. He actually wanted to tell Devan's illness to his friend, but he undid. It's not time Ayyan knew, her inner self.

“Dia ... Mmm, actually the disease is not severe. It just needs to be taken care of, said the father," explained Hanifa. This time he did not lie, he hoped Devan's illness would not get worse and after undergoing treatment, he would recover.

“Yes already Ayy, I want to wash my hands first, yes." Hanifa dropped out of class and left her best friend who still harbored curiosity about her dealings with Devan.

Hanifa had been standing by the side of the road since a few minutes ago. He chose to get out faster so as not to miss the angkot or taxi again. Today, his father's personal driver could not pick him up because he was ill.

He glanced at his watch, then heaved a sigh of relief. He still has 30 minutes before arriving late at Devan's house. While being focused on waiting for the angkot, suddenly a white car pulled over to him.

Hanifa was a little afraid that it was the person who had malicious intentions towards her. He was about to turn in the school yard when the glass moobil was open.

“Woi. Where are you going?" The voice of a person stopped his intention. When he turned around, he could see Devan's face from behind the car window.

Hanifa glanced around, hoping Devan was talking to someone other than herself. But unfortunately, he was the only one who was waiting for such an angkot at noon.

"I want to go"

“Lo is coming to my house, right?" cut Devan. Hanifa nodded. “Log in! devan's orders as usual, give orders unilaterally.

Sontak Hanifa shook her head. “I want to wait for angkot. You just go home there," throw Hanifa away while turning her eyes the other way.

“Gue didn't come home this afternoon," tell Devan.

Hanifa immediately turned her face to look at Devan. “Where are you going?"

“It's none of Lo's business." Devan still faithfully maintained his cold and indifferent look.

“Yes obviously it's my business too. You're my patient Devan" Hanifa said as a real doctor.

“Everything's coming with me now."

Hanifa still remained where she stood.

“Then he thought. Yes, if you don't want to come, I'm staying" snapped Devan shut his windshield and prepared to leave.

Without answering, Hanifa immediately stepped up and entered the car. He did not want his day to have difficulties like yesterday. It made Devan frown, then smile thinly.

Substantial. Inner Devan shook his head slowly.

***

On the way, the atmosphere was still quiet. Both are busy in their minds. Devan who was busy listening to music in his earphones, while Hanifa was busy watching the road through.

I don't know where else the ice man will take him. All the questions in Hanifa's silence were answered when Devan's car entered a parking lot next to a large building.

After exiting the car, Hanifa's eyes narrowed as she read the large writing plastered in front of the building.

“Glick Book Store?" Hanifa read the inscription on the front entrance.

“Lo want to enter, do you want to be a security guard here?" devan said in his signature style, cold and uncaring.

Hanifa lazily responded to the remark from Devan earlier. He chose to enter following the ice man. His steps stopped when he stared at a book beside him, precisely the novel Ayat-Ayat Cinta 2, one of the monumental works of Habiburrahman Shirazy. It even became a big screen movie.

His hand reflex took the novel with a smile. “This is a novel I'd like to buy first. But unfortunately I didn't bring any money today" Hanifa muttered putting the novel back into place.

Back he stepped his feet looking for Devan. He walked from one hallway to the other. The place was very spacious, as it was one of the most complete bookstores in the city. All kinds of books are there.

While being busy observing every corner of the room, Hanifa was shocked by the voice of someone calling out to her.

The tall man with the yellow skin smiled. "I'm looking for a book for reference, Fa. What are you doing here yourself?"

Not yet able to answer, Wafi has added to his question. “You want to buy a book too?"

Hanifa shook her head. He came to this place not intending to buy a book, but instead accompanied his stubborn father's patient.

“I'm here just-"

“He came here to me," said Devan who had stood between Hanifa and Wafi with his temperament face. Her current appearance looked extremely neat, or perhaps Hanifa's eyes that had never noticed it.

Wafi was a little surprised not even believing Devan's words earlier. Wafi knows Devan very well. Even since he became a new member in the organization.

"What are you doing, Van?" tanya Wafi is friendly.

"Gue doesn't papa" replied Devan ketus.

Wafi who is famous for his calm and authoritative charisma just smiled. He turned his face towards Hanifa.

“Bener, Fa, you nemenin Devan to here?”

Hanifa nodded.

"Both doang?"

"Yes, why? Any issues?" Again Devan answered. At that instant his hand pulled on Hanifa's sleeve and led her out. But at that time Wafi stopped them.

“Wait. How could you two be here? Don't tell me you're dating?"

Hanifa immediately turned around when she heard Wafi's question earlier.

“Not brother! I'm the same she's not-"

“If so why? No problem, are you the same?" Devan cuts back on Hanifa.

The girl's eyes were perfectly rounded hearing Devan's words just now. It felt like he wanted to pinch the man's arm right then and there.

Wafi narrowed her eyes. Just about to talk to Hanifa again, Devan took her right out of the store. Leaving behind Wafi who still kept some questions for Hanifa.

While in front of the cashier, Hanifa brushed off Devan's hand which was holding her sleeve. He put an annoyed face on the man in front of him.

“Devan, why did you lie to Wafi earlier?"

“Eh snail. Who's lying, si?"

Hanifa was getting annoyed with Devan calling her a snail. “My name is Hanifa yes, not a snail.”

“Gue call Lo snail cake, lizard cake, it's up to me."

Hanifa was getting furious. “Ngapain try you say that I came here nemenin you?"

Still waiting for the cashier to add up all his things, Devan seemed to ignore Hanifa's words.

“Emang really, you come here nemenin me."

Hearing Devan's reply earlier made Hanifa speechless. It's true that he's here to accompany Devan, because of his duties. But instead of accompanying, rather forced to follow his stubborn patients.

Arriving in the car, Hanifa still put on her upset face. What if Wafi thinks nothing of his relationship with Devan? Even Devan was asserting Wafi's question that they had a relationship. Hanifa was very anti-dating before marriage.

For him, dating is just a futile act that will consume time and energy. And religion strictly forbids courtship without any ties. Even with the pretext of being an encouragement.

In Hanifa's life, dating wasn't the only encouragement in this world. There is an ummi who loves her very much, a father who loves her very much, and a friend who cares for her. It was more than enough to be a life force. But such is life, sometimes every human being has a different way of looking at it, and has its own way of finding the spirit of life and happiness.

“Kok lo sensi really fitting I said that lo nemenin I to the bookstore earlier? You're afraid the head of the assholes is jealous, aren't you? Or do you like him?" Devan gives a barrage of questions to the girl next to him.

Hanifa grunts. "His name is Wafi. Not the head of the sokan. And I don't feel anything at all, sister Wafi replied Hanifa densely, concisely and clearly.

Devan mangosteen while laughing. "So, isn't there a problem with what I just said?"

Hearing that, Hanifa felt even more annoyed. Even the man's laughter sounded louder and louder. He can laugh when he sees others upset because of his own actions.

“Nih make lo." Devan thrusts a white plastic bag towards Hanifa.

Instead of taking the gift, Hanifa stared intently at Devan who was focusing on driving.

“It doesn't have to be so many times." Devan took a quick look, then refocused on the wheel.

Hanifa still did not receive the plastic bag until a few minutes later.

“Old my hands cramp because of Lo. Cepetan take!"

“If I don't take it is a problem for you?" hanifa asked with her still sharp gaze.

“Gue si no problem yes. But you will not accept. You've never heard a lecture, have you? If we can't refuse people's gifts. Huh!" Devan still faithfully thrust the plastic into her.

Although Devan's heart was ice-cold, but his kindness was as warm as twilight, that's what bi Mar told Hanifa.

Despite objections, Hanifa's hand picked up the plastic bag. Slowly he opened it. How surprised he was when he found out the contents of the plastic bag.

"Van, this?"
