Hanifa For Devan

Hanifa For Devan
A Challenge

Lord.

I still look in my soul.

Re-examine the spaces in the dark.

I still haven't found what you chose.

When did you show me?

Or is it my body that has not seen that choice?

After writing some of his heart, Devan immediately closed his private book. I don't want anyone else to know. Finished inserting a book that kept him busy, Devan swept the entire basketball court.

So far, it is impossible for any student to play basketball except himself. But this time, he would rather sit back and wait for someone so insignificant in his life.

“Assalamualaikum," said one from behind.

Devan turned his head, seen the person he was waiting for was smiling widely with a bag still attached to his shoulder. Apparently he just came.

“Eh, snail. Lo very slow anyway. I've been waiting here 3 hours." Devan nagged, without answering the greetings from the schoolgirls who was none other than Hanifa.

“I'm not slow, Van, but you're the only one who came careless. It's still half seven." Hanifa defended herself, because the clock is still quite early for students who are not members of OSIS.

“Ngeles aja lo," said Devan does not care about the reason.

Hanifa took a seat on one seat after Devan. “I'm not ngeles, but I'm telling the truth."

“Iya. Ja. It's up to you, now just tell me the challenge! I haven't had a long time with you."

Hanifa smiled. Soon he fixed his sitting position.

“So, the challenge is, you have to smile every day for one week."

Hearing that, Devan's eyelids rounded perfectly. "What's? Do you ask me to smile every day?" Devan laughed at Hanifa's request earlier. “Crazy, lo!"

“You don't accept the challenge?"

“No!"

"Well, what is it, Van? Yesterday we had a deal. You don't want to be called a coward?"

“Eh, snail. I don't want to be considered crazy because of a vague smile," said Devan.

Hanifa let out a long breath. Apparently Devan doesn't understand what that means. “That's not what I mean, Van. So at least every day, there are things that can make you smile." Hanifa shut up for a moment.

"Okay, I give you 3 days. How's it?"

"As far as you!" the answer is to get up and leave the field.

“OKE. SO WE DEAL YES. REMEMBER THAT! I HAVE TO SMILE EVERY DAY!" Hanifa shouted for Devan to hear. He was relieved that his one-step plan had already succeeded.

Without anyone realizing it, Devan stopped his steps in front of the entrance because he heard the sound of the girl who was quite loud.

“Basic snail," his murmur pulled the two corners of his lips into a thin arch.

Today the first lesson was empty, but the entrance hour had rang half an hour ago. To spend their free time, some students play, talk, and even sleep. But Hanifa was not among all those groups. Now, he busied himself with the book in his hand.

“Read what the hell?" chirps Ayyan who just came from outside. He pulled his head to look at the book his friend was holding.

“Exemplary Woman's Story." Ayyan spelled out the title of the book Hanifa was holding. “Wah, new book. When buy?"

Hanifa looked towards her best friend who was eating a snack. “Yesterday," she replied smiling.

Ayyan nodded. "Oh yes, this afternoon you can not gather the Fa?"

“What collection?" Hanifa asked while remaining focused on the book she had in hand.

Ayyan shrugged her shoulders. ”Entahlah. But another word, Sister Wafi told us to gather this afternoon."

“PMI?"

“Maybe Scouts too, because it was Irfan who said that we had a gathering."

Hearing Ayyan's words, Hanifa fell silent.

"If the Scouts also gather, then Devan dong?" the murmur was heard by Ayyan.

“What did you say?" ayyan asked him to stop eating, fearing that he had heard wrong.

Before being suspected, Hanifa immediately looked for an excuse. "Eh, there's nothing, Ayy. God willing, I can come along this afternoon."

“Yeay. Can you buy me a drink?" said cheering.

“Iya, yes," awab Hanifa.

“Come my best friend. Uh, but you don't work?"

Hanifa looked towards her best friend. “On Friday I'm off, Ayy."

Ayyan nodded in understanding. After that he continued his eating activities, as well as Hanifa. She loves to read, especially about the story of the great woman from before.

Different from Devan. He is now looking at the explanation of a man he has labeled as a teacher who is very disliked, not the explanation but the exact face. Devan often asked himself why men like him would replace Mr. Basuki to teach sports.

In fact, he often cursed the headmaster who scheduled sports on Friday with someone he really disliked. To the extent that he was willing to skip the sports hours so as not to see the person's face. But this time his plan failed, and he was forced to follow the sports hours because of the long-hijab girl.

“Alright, I think today's lesson is enough. Next week we will practice, so I hope you all can attend."

All the students who took part in sports hours at that time nodded in understanding. "Good, sir."

"Yaaah, really good. Not satisfied to see the handsome father," said the student behind.

Devan who heard the complaints of the girls made her want to vomit. He was very surprised by the students who were so idolized by the man who was still a student. Looking at his smile, his stomach acid had already gone up.

"Did their eyes have hypermetropia?" muttered Devan.

“Ya already then. Please go back to class."

The students dispersed themselves after giving thanks.

As he was about to leave the field, Devan's steps came to a halt with a voice calling out to him. Soon he turned around.

“What's the matter ya you call me?" devan asked in very official language, showing how unhappy he was with the man in front of him.

"This one has a meeting. You tell the other members and don't forget to attend." The man who served as the former head of the organization smiled at him, making Devan feel nauseous.

“There again?" ask Devan. The man shook his head. "I'm sorry, then."

Just turning his body, the voice of the man stopped his steps.

“Do you really have a relationship with Hanifa?"

Devan smiled cynically. "Sorry, yes, sir. Right now I'm busy, excuse me," Devan replied without looking.

The man who was none other than Wafi was looking at Devan's body that was slowly disappearing behind the passageway.

“Maybe I should ask Hanifa directly. It's just a matter of talking to that kid." Wafi took a breath and let it out violently, then left.

Hanifa held her hand bored. It had been thirty minutes he was sitting in front of the class waiting for his best friend. Occasionally glanced at the tiny black clock that coiled in his hand. Some of his friends from PMI members have been present, but Ayyan has not arrived.

“Wait for who, Fa?" Wafi's voice shocked him.

Reaching his eyes looked at the well-groomed man in Scout clothes complete with his attributes. Her sideways hair looked a little wet, probably because she had just finished Friday prayers.

“Wait for you, brother," she replied smilingly.

Wafi nodded in understanding. "Well, don't be late." The man gave a message.

Hanifa nodded immediately. Although Wafi is a Scout builder, but he cares so much about other organizations. The proof, he always reminded himself to be on time.

Tired of waiting and soon the meeting began, Hanifa chose to join the others. Just let Ayyan nag, because this is her own fault.

After getting some input from the builder, all the PMI members present at that time went to pick up the tools for training.

Because the equipment used for training both from PMI and Scout organizations is almost the same, the place to put it is located in one room. So, anyone can take it.

Before entering the room where the equipment and training equipment were, Hanifa pulled her head towards the window. See if anyone is inside or not. He moved his foot in when his eyes saw no one in it.

Once it was complete, he intended to return to the field carrying these tools. But when he just turned around, suddenly Devan's figure was already standing in the doorway.

“Allahu Akbar!" Hanifa was shocked to let go of what was in her hands until she fell on the floor.

“Why lo?" devan asked, his feet coming in with a look of wonder.

Hanifa tried to get oxygen into her lungs. Trying to counteract his heartbeat by saying Istigfar several times.

“Huuft. Relax Fa, he's just a human not a ghost," he muttered picking up the equipment that had fallen earlier.

“Lo is not sane, is it? By the way the floor. You weird snail." Devan picked up the other equipment while glancing at Hanifa who was muttering indistinctly in her ear.

When she finished, Hanifa stood up and looked at Devan. The one seen narrowed his eyes.

“Other times, if you enter the room, say hello first," said Hanifa and left.

Devan looked at the tiny body until the shadow was gone. “Tu girl why? Kayak see supernatural creatures, startled.”

Half an hour into the meeting, Hanifa was sitting in front of her class. Both of his eyeballs were focused on some of the students who were in Scout training. Especially the tenter.

With the ability to tie a rope like that, who would have thought that he was suffering from a deadly disease.

His heart felt sliced as he looked at the grin on both of his thin lips after successfully making the tent with the fastest time.

"God, if that smile could be seen in a few years. So that I can heal his wound," he murmured.

Not long after his words earlier, an incident made him flabbergasted and stood up. “Jeez, he's why?" Hanifa ran after seeing something. Until the voice of someone who called him several times was ignored.
