Hanifa For Devan

Hanifa For Devan
Gift For Special People

His clear eyes were still busy watching the weather outside. He occasionally glanced back at the clock in his hand. The rain outside is really heavy. Luckily it was not accompanied by lightning and strong winds. Waiting for the rain to subside, his fingers also focused on pressing a number, trying to contact the umminya so as not to worry.

It was already six in the afternoon, Hanifa had actually come home an hour ago but Jihan asked her to open up together. Finally, his return was delayed by the rain. The worry on his face began to show. Anyway, he should be home soon. If you wait for the rain to subside, I don't know until when it can be late at night.

“Non Ifa really want to go home now? Don't you wait for the rain to stop?" tanya Bi Mar handed the green umbrella to Hanifa.

“It's okay, Bi. Soon the rain will surely subside. Ummi must have been waiting at home" replied Hanifa. “Ya already, Bi. Ifa pamit, yes. Assalamualaikum."

With a worried face, bi Mar nodded and let the beautiful girl go. “Waalaikumussalam. Careful, Non."

The afternoon air was quite cold with the rain still flushing the earth. With a hand holding an umbrella, Hanifa's feet continued to step through the large granules that were trying to block her steps. Seeing the rain that had not subsided but instead increased rapidly, Hanifa chose to take shelter at a stop.

Elsewhere, Devan, who had just finished performing Maghrib prayers, stepped into the living room. Seeing bi Mar who was busy tidying the dining table without Hanifa there, he approached her.

“Where's hanifa, Bi?" Devan asked as he did not find any shadows of Hanifa around the room.

“Non Ifa just got home, Den."

Devan raised his eyebrows. “In the rain like this?"

The woman nodded. "So Bibi had already banned it, and told non Ifa to wait for the rain to subside. But non-Ifa refused."

Devan was upset. "Bas stubborn," he said.

"Aunt to the kitchen first yeah, Den."

Devan nodded immediately. After the shadow of the housekeeper disappeared, his feet immediately stepped into the room. Half an hour later, he had returned with a black jacket and jeans and immediately grabbed his car keys and left.

“He must not be far from here," muttered Devan as he swept every street corner. Hoping to find Hanifa around that cold, lonely road.

The catch is on target. His eyes immediately narrowed as he caught the figure of Hanifa sitting on the stop chair. His hands hugged his cold body. Seeing this, Devan pulled the car over.

Hanifa looked back when she saw a car stop not far from where she was sitting. There was fear in his heart. He had thought about leaving immediately, but not because he saw someone coming out and walking towards him.

“Devan, what are you doing here? You should rest at home. Your body gets wet, right," said Hanifa worried.

“Gue was not wet, just hit by a splash of water a little earlier," apparently did not want to make the girl worried. “Gue wants to take Lo home."

“But Devan, you'll be sick again." Hanifa refused.

Hearing that, the man let out a rough breath. “Udah, Lo don't bring. It's wearing." Devan took off the jacket he was wearing and gave it to Hanifa.

Initially, Hanifa wanted to refuse again. But he realized, Devan will not leave before driving him. So he immediately took the silver jacket and put it on.

This time, Hanifa had to obey what Devan ordered. Not because of obedience, but Hanifa wanted Devan to come home and rest.

The afternoon trip was quite short. Not many vehicles pass by because drizzle still accompanies the earth. After reaching the front of the home, Hanifa got out of the car.

“Thank you yes. I'm back in my jacket tomorrow. I'm gonna wash it first."

“Not to be returned. Think of it as a gift from lo," Devan smiled back.

“Assalamualaikum, said Hanifa in front of the door which was opened by umminya.

Ummi Fatimah who saw her daughter who had just returned home in a drenched state immediately told her to take a shower and change clothes. Hanifa complied and entered the room.

The weather that afternoon was really unfriendly. The wind that entered through the window of Hanifa felt very cold. After the Maghrib prayer, he made warm tea for her. Now his hands are busy doing exercises about the given time tutoring this afternoon.

At the same time, Devan who just arrived home immediately took a shower. Finished teaching, now his eyes are smiling looking at the green mushaf in his hand. His memories in the garden were spinning in his head.

A few hours ago ..

“Gue can open now, right?" tanya Devan played the box that was in her hand.

Hanifa nodded. "Please."

Devan's hands began to open one by one the wrapping paper that wrapped the box. It didn't take long, the box worked on him. Devan's smile expanded as he looked at the contents of the small box.

“Sorry yes, Van. I give you that simple gift. Yes, although I know you can afford a mushaf that is much more expensive than that but I sincerely love it. It was the first mushaf that dad bought back then.”

Devan looked towards Hanifa. “If it's a precious gift, why would you give it to me?"

Hanifa smiled hearing that. "Something precious, deserves to be owned by someone special" he said.

“Van, do you know why I chose the Quran as a gift?" Devan shakes. “Because the Quran is the most spectacular thing in this world."

“Meanway?" devan asked, not understanding.

“The Quran is the revelation of Allah revealed to Prophet Muhammad SAW, in the cave of Hira through the angel Gabriel. I reckon. The Quran is a love letter that Allah gave to his lover Muhammad. Try to imagine, the revelation given by Allah to the Prophet Muhammad, we can feel until now. When receiving the first revelation, the Prophet shivered so afraid. So, if you read this love letter and consecrate it, I believe you can definitely feel how the Prophet felt while receiving the revelation" Hanifa said excitedly.

“Kata ummi, the Qur'an is a very special treasure for every believer, the most faithful friend when lonely, and the most powerful remedy for a restless heart. In the Qur'an, there is everything that man needs. There are moral lessons, chemistry exists, mathematics exists, astronomy exists, everything exists."

“Even drugs of any disease are available. You can assume, this Quran is a chosen friend sent by God to you. I am sure, if you try to befriend the Quran God willing you can find healing from the disease you feel so far. "

Devan, who had been a loyal listener for a few minutes, smiled. “Pantesan was chosen as the chairman of Rohis, a hobbyist lecture person. You want to be an ustadzah, right?"

Hanifa shook her head. "My ideal is a doctor, Van. Ustadzah is my dream when I get married. I want to be an ustadzah for my kids."

“Ya yes. But, thanks, yeah."

“Sama-sama."

Devan unceasingly looked at the mushaf in front of him. The image of Hanifa's passionate face telling the specialness of God's fourth revealed scripture greatly amazed him. Curious about what Hanifa said earlier, Devan's hand slowly opened the first page of the green mushaf.

Not because he never read the Quran, but all this time Devan just read it. But from now on, he wanted to try to get rid of verse by verse of the love letter that Hanifa meant. Just reading the first letter, Devan's heart rippled. Little by little, he found peace in it.

Seconds to seconds, minutes to minutes, Devan slowly drifted in his reading. A drop of two tears fell down his feather face. His solemnity came to a halt as Isha's doom reverberated into his room. His feet rushed to take ablution water then prayed.
