Grizzled

Grizzled
#S2 Episode 1

“With all due respect I am still waiting for His Majesty's willingness to join!”

This baritone voice again, I thought. A man with a royal courtier-like appearance in the movies, long brown in a longer robe, three steps in front of me. The next sentence he was going to say was already enough.

“White Country is under threat! Only the power of His Majesty is trusted by the people to defuse the chaos! For the sake of the thousand-year civilization that our ancestors have built, come back with us!”

Right ‘kan? He said it like that, again.

His hand stretched out before me while I was still silent a thousand languages, feeling not dealing with him even though either –I am tired of counting– already how many times he has come in this dream. Keep repeating over and over again without getting bored. Then, the next thing I guessed. A boy hugged me from behind. I turned around before she wrapped her little arm around my neck spoiled.

“Stay on the goodness you believe in!” she whispered with the same smile.

That sentence is not just an arrangement of words. As if alive, he got into my head, looking for the space he was supposed to be in, running around here and there, making me dizzy. I tried to catch him, block him and then question him, “Which height am I believing in?!”

Waking up with my eyes wide, staring at the ceiling, I hope the words are there, or under the covers, the piles of pillows, anywhere in my room. The short needle of the wall clock is stuck in the number twelve. I haven't changed the battery yet. Not knowing what time it was, the rising sun made my premonition worse.

“Kakak is awake?” mother asked appeared in the doorway.

“I'm bad luck!” my words realized immediately darted, but immediately arrested.

“Sit, sit!” said Mom put the back of her hand on my forehead, “last night I checked. Brother fell asleep at the table with the laptop still on. How many times have we told you not to study late. The result will not be good. Look, nih! Now Brother has a fever ‘kan?! Next time if it's time to rest yes break!”

“But Mom has no reason not to wake me up! I must have left with my sister too! Ah, outrageous!”

“Just Brother should rest first!”

“Bu, understand! Today there is a test simulation! I have to keep going!” my answer is not to be detained anymore. Semester two of the twelfth grade, I don't want to lose with fever until I often don't get in because of it. I had no choice but to pack my breakfast. Half-seven, where I might have breakfast at home. Arriving on time in the school grounds alone counted wonders. Maybe I'll be a little late arriving at the computer lab with a bonus spray of supervisor scolding. Fifteen minutes before the simulation all participants had to be in a computer lab.

My estimate proved correct. One minute from seven, the back gate was almost closed. The row of twelve grade MIPA deserted. They're all in the computer lab. I don't have time to fix my loose shoelaces or my slightly sagging glasses. Something has excited me in the test simulation this time, my gamble with Yuanda!

Since the beginning of the fourth semester Yuanda ranked below me more and more bluntly said she wanted to defeat me. Instead of being afraid, but finally having a passionate opponent turned out to be stimulating to my spirit as well. I won't waste it! In today's maple simulation, chemistry, my target is never on the stage, it has to be the top of anyone, not just Yuanda.

There was a bit of concern because of the previous simulation, unexpectedly someone snatched my top spot. Not Yuanda or a parallel rank two holder, but who knows. The boy who was also my classmate in chemistry class. Of course it came as a surprise to me because he didn't stand out at all. Even if I may say, he seems to have no interest in chemistry, more often than not. I don't want to think long and guess it's just luck. The opportunity to get the right answer without thinking in the matter of multiple choice is still there even though the smallest, yes ‘kan?

The exam room suddenly boomed when I appeared. The entire class that had mostly logged in cheered me because it was obviously too late.

“Yeah, Shiraa! Smart people are free, so are they?!”

“Shira is late, sir! Tell push up first!” yuanda said on the back bench. I just glared at him. The exam supervisor didn't say much and immediately asked me to log in. Two minutes I spent repeatedly entering the username id and password, the dialog box that appeared on the monitor also repeatedly said that the username I was using could not log in. My forehead is crimped, making sure every digit I put in is not wrong.

It's not wrong, so why is it like this? I'm reporting this to the server operator. Fifteen minutes of my time was wasted with Mr. Faisal's reply, the dispatcher who finally asked me to log in with a backup username because the username id in my own name had been used log in by someone else. Actively working, my account has been logged in along with the accounts of other children who are not late. Mr. Faisal sniffed the irregularity while I desperately held back the aggravation.

At least my aggravation increased after my grade did not appear at the end of time. Don't-don't not get corrected because I used the backup user id?!

“Damn it!” makiku shrieked while pounding the table. Instantly the beep repeatedly sounded along with my darkened monitor screen. Monitor other friends as well. The sound as a marker of the disconnection of electricity. Mr. Faisal is trying to deal with this matter. I just gulped. For the third time this coincidence repeated. A little sure of the incident just now was similar to when my room light suddenly exploded after I rampaged Maurin. No, this is just a coincidence huh ‘kan?

Hoping for anxiety, I heard friends being grateful that this matter happened after the simulation was over. We were asked to leave the computer lab. Somehow it might just be my feeling, the boy who was sitting next to me had a little grin.

I pretended not to see it.

“Ra, stop pouting! You'll only get uglier!” Yasinta. When he bothered to comfort me like this I could guess the results of his biological simulation were satisfactory. I can't confirm it because our exam room is separate. In one class are grouped according to the maple of choice UN each.

Ah, let alone ensuring Yasinta's value, my own grades are blurry and I'm still sulking to Mr. Faisal who can't recover my real account. It was as if I suddenly decided to use a backup account whose answer ended up uncorrected. If I knew this I wouldn't have had a problem waiting for repairs for an hour, working on problems with the rest of the time rather than working full time but ending up like this! Ah, my mood is really bad!

“Sip, Ra! I'm looking forward to the treaty! You have to be unlucky once in a while! Ahahahaha!” yuanda's taunts irritated me even more.

“Who said you won?! My grade hasn't shown up yet! Don't be happy first!” reply growled.

“Oh yes? Though clearly your name is at the bottom of the ranking with nooool value!”

“I TOLD YOU SOMEONE HACKED MY ACCOUNT! Ask Mr. Faisal if you don't believe me!”

“No, nih! Mr. Faisal didn't say anything!”

“Iya, uh! Mr. Faisal also said my answer should still be corrected!”

“Anu ... already, dong, you two!”

Yasinta did not manage to mediate the checks between us. With a grunt I left the classroom to Mr. Faisal's desk, charging my grades to reverse Yuanda's situation. I found him in the first computer lab. If he was preparing one or two things for the simulation of the second session after the small problem, it turns out that Mr. Faisal was talking to the boy who seemed to be sitting next to me. My heart felt bad considering that the boy had seen what I did before the power went out. Heh, you reporter!

“Father has no evidence to accuse me.”

Mr. Faisal sounded chuckled softly, “What's your name? Kevin Anggara's? Isn't it too coincidence that you sat next to Shira and had surpassed her in the previous simulation.”

“Wah, just because once I was lucky to surpass Shira, you then accused me of hacking her account?”

Uh, briefly. Turns out this conversation wasn't because he intended to report me and the incident just before the power went out. My ears are getting better.

“Alright, maybe you need to be praised first,” said Mr. Faisal, “first, I congratulate you for being the first to realize the weakness of this test system. Username and password codes should indeed be shared personally, not used as a list spread in group chats until each student knows the username and password of other students. Yes, we do use the most efficient way possible, thinking each student must be busy with his own thing, but obviously you realize one thing ‘kan, Kevin?”

The one called Kevin has not reacted.

“This is not a hack with great technique –not great at all even– because you already know the Shira account username and password code and then use it in the first simulation. At that time we did not update the system so that it allows one active account in two devices. Maybe through your own phone, you logged in with Shira's account while she was working and then cheated her answer. At the end of the day you replace some of Shira's answers with the wrong ones. Finally beautiful, your value becomes the highest.”

OH?!

“However, when you want to repeat the same thing today, the system has been updated, accounts that have been logged in cannot log in a second time on different devices. Actually you won't get caught if Shira doesn't come late.”

“SO SO?!” my spray can't stand it. The two people in the room were shocked by my appearance.

“Well, please uleg please crack your problem this morning, Shira. Obviously this is not my fault,” grinned Mr. Faisal.

“Reacted you! I will not forgive!”

“Ssttt! Your anger is not scary with your cheeks puffed up and glasses sagging like that,” he replied. Si ... damn!

“I didn't ask you to comment on my appearance!”

“So, as the first to realize the weakness of this system is there a reward for me? However, I also helped evaluate the weaknesses of this test system and did not spread it to others,” continued Kevin really did not care about me.

“Hm, I don't know. If you manage to dismantle the cyber cheat network, maybe you can suddenly be appointed as a special member of the order control team. Approaching the exam season we urgently need people like that,” replied Mr. Faisal. I'm getting madder. Even given a real reward?!

“Alright, I will consider,” replied Kevin out of the room just like that. Really, she completely ignored me?! Oh, watch out for chemistry class tomorrow!

“Thank you for the deal, Ra! It's nice to compete with you!” yuanda had not yet moved from the canteen.

“Ya, yes ... up to!” I said I don't have a taste for playing cell phones.

“Yeah, why are you sulking? I won fairly, you know! This is my first win!”

“True, Ra! You should not frown just because once is unlucky!” yasinta timpal.

“Ah, why do you associate it with that? Take it easy, I did deliberately let Yuanda excel and I did not worry about it,” I replied.

“But your face is tangled once. It also came too late. Are you in trouble?” asked Yuanda worriedly.

“No, really, nothing!” my answer is half right. Yasinta was slowly snapping at my head.

“Awas ya, said it's okay, but it turns out there's nothing! You are always closed, then suddenly make a scene once your problems have peaked!” yasinta's Nagging.

“Ya, truly the hallmark of a Shira!”

“Really, friends! My problem today is just not feeling well. That's it,” I replied.

“Not as good as it looks like yes?” ask Yuanda. I never liked it when it had to be read this easily. They should not know what is unnecessary. I myself was even too afraid to understand what had happened to me lately. All the strangeness I'm trying to believe in is just coincidence by chance.

“Pssst, Ra, by the way you still often contact Eagle?” ask Yasinta.

“So please, it looks like the Eagle number is no longer active,” I replied.

“He should have told us his new number!” yuanda grumbled in annoyance.

“By the way, he asked you on the eve of the cultural festival of that time,” said Yasinta always knew how to lure cheap gossip.

“It's only natural to ask because I'm not present. Had I come, he wouldn't have asked,” my answer is getting tasteless, just know where this conversation is going to end.

“No plans to meet again? He looks a little disappointed, you know! Let's plan a reunion soon before it gets further apart due to the busy college!” timpal Yuanda's.

“Either why I was more dizzy preparing the lecture plan itself than reunions or other trivial things,” I replied with a frown. Here again! Something that did not want the dome finally discussed as well, but inevitably I still have to think about it.

“Then, I have a solution to get both, reunion with the Eagle and seek enlightenment your college plan,” Yasinta said a moment later swiping his phone screen, “we come here tomorrow!”

The poster of an event on his cell phone showed me in front of my disheveled face.

“Edufair? Campus exhibitions? I ... don't really understand your plan,” I replied.

“This event will be attended by twelve students throughout High School in this city and surrounding areas! There's a chance the Eagle will come too, you know!” reply Yasinta.

“Honestly, I'm interested in coming here, but please don't mislead my main goal! You guys should really help me get a clue to an advanced study plan rather than just seeing Eagle.”

“Absolutely you are not happy to meet old friends?” ask Yuanda.

“Not so, I'm happy, really! I mean, it doesn't feel like an eagle going all the way to this town just for this event. So, I'm not really hopeful. If later it did not have time to meet ya already, but if it did mean it was a bonus from my main goal,” I explained.

“Well, in order to keep the bonus going, I will contact all the social media accounts of our former class president. Instagram, line, facebook, twitter, I'll tell you that we have to meet at the edufair event later!” yasinta said so excitedly. I just laughed in my heart. Just try to call if the Eagle is really active.

“Oh yes, Ra. Instagram account @dirgaruda that often appears in your comments .. Elang brother yes?” asked Yuanda who also swiped the screen of her phone. I just nodded.

“Well, that also makes me inexhaustible! What were you guys like until Brother Eagle came to know the close pretent so?!” yasinta timpal.

“Sentence, Yas. If only I could recall it ..” I thought.

Forgetting to be part of a human being, but forgetting something forever makes me feel guilty towards anyone involved in my memory. The doctor said the lost memories should come back soon. But what came to me was something else.

A foreign thing I don't understand at all. Someone in my dream that ....
