Grizzled

Grizzled
Episode 25's

The doorbell I squeezed. Someone who shows up behind the fence amazes me.

“Elang?!”

Uh, no. He's not an eagle. His posture was higher with a scratch scar cutting the line of his left eyebrow. He watched me for a moment and then smiled.

“I know you'll keep coming!” suddenly he grabbed my hand and invited me in. It feels horror to see a similar face Eagle smiled cheerfully so friendly, while all this time I know Eagle always looks ferocious with eyebrows seem fused. If she really is an Eagle, maybe I should ask her if she's possessed?

“I am not surprised, all Aang friends who have played here always thought we were twins, even though we were five years adrift! Come, please sit!” he's friendly.

“Aang?”

“Ah, you are not used to it? That's Eagle's call in the family environment,” he replied. Oh, right, he told me once.

“Jadi ... You Brother Garuda?” I haven't recovered from the shock.

“Yes, Shira! Although similar, the Eagle may not be as handsome and as good as me. Yes ‘kan?” he said he wanted to get home quickly. Really, with the real Eagle alone I can't stand it! Especially with this 180-degree turned personality!

“Wah, thank you! You don't have to bother!” he said he received a bag of snacks that Nike actually never gave away.

“Se ... actually it is not for ...”

“Yes, I know! This is not for me, but for the sick. I understand, kok!”

THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEAN!!! Ah, noooo! Sweet torn bread and chocolate milk!

“Watch your own home yes! The eagle was sleeping in his room. I will ask if you can enter or not,” said Kak Garuda. I still stare at my forehead. Bodo! Geez! What fate caused me to be trapped here?!

I leaned my back on the sofa, inevitably finally observing the contents of this living room. In front of me a sprig of fresh white roses in a vase –it looks like freshly picked from the garden depan– next to a few jars of snacks. One or two thick books were still open on the corner table of the room with papers scattered.

Very large family photos become the most striking displays. The pose inside was a couple and two boys. The only woman in the portrait was so beautiful with a typical middle eastern face, her eyes were set as if they were real looking back at me. Next to the woman I believe to be the Dirgaraja brothers' mother, stood a middle-aged man in a neat suit full of authority and a sharp look of eyes behind his glasses. Just being viewed that way, I could feel the character of a person who was firm and disciplined, being passed down to the Eagle.

The most interesting part, the two boys who at first glance looked similar, wore a shirt as colorful as if they were really twins. The little gloomy, round-faced boy in his mother's arms would not look at the camera, while his brother grimaced funnyly, showing off his toothless tooth as he spread his arms wide, as if to hug anyone who looked at this family photo. I held back an amused laugh, for look at the two boys in the picture now! Maybe the height has exceeded the height of the mother plus their jaw line is getting firmer –not round like in the photo.

“That's a photo twelve years ago. Funny ‘kan?” Kak Garuda's voice distracts me. He came back with a glass of cold syrup.

“Looks like Eagle won't come out. I forget that he doesn't like to look helpless in front of others. Oh, sorry yes, there is only this, please!” kak Garuda said. I thank you for the sake of manners despite not intending to linger here for long.

“Sorry again yes, I'm doing my college work. Huhoo! The old semester was a little bit of a torture. Last night I did not have time to touch it because of the condition of the Eagle that suddenly dropped. Therefore I beg your help,” said Kak Garuda busy struggling with a laptop and stack of paper in the corner of the room. I don't know if my presence here would really help?

Basics, I asked about Kak Garuda's college faculty. He answered more than I wanted to know. I can't figure out how he can stay focused on the task while chatting like this.

“By the way you want to choose what faculty if college later?” tanyakanya.

“Eh, do not know .. it is still a long time, think about it later,” I replied.

“One year is fast, you know! If not thought of from now on can regret because of the wrong majors. Why haven't you made up your mind when you're ranked first in class? Must be confused because you can everything?”

“Not so, anyway! Haven't found a suitable one yet, Brother,” I replied. Can everything? He thinks I'm a god?! Eh, how did he know that I was number one?!

“Oh, true too. Mastering a certain field does not mean to like it, not necessarily suitable at heart, but you should immediately decide on a choice. Before many people are upset because of your overly relaxed attitude.”

“Means Brother?”

Brother Garuda glanced at me with dimples that seemed obvious because of his smile, “Actually I know your relationship with the Eagle is not as close as I thought. He was very upset about being defeated by someone as relaxed as you while he himself fought desperately. Back when you were in the tenth grade I saw sticky notes on his study table with a vow that he would beat you.”

Eh? Surely huh?

“Since the first Eagle is so, has a clear purpose, wants to be the top rank. Unfortunately, he always loses to you. Sorry yes, if he hates you and is being rude.”

“It's okay, I already know. Eagle once bluntly told me.”

“Really?” Brother Garuda chuckles in disbelief, “sometimes I pity to see him life filled with pressure. I mean, what the fuck is that ambition? Is he not saturated? But he chose it that way and I can't stop him.”

“Learning diligently is good, anyway! But fuck the class. What will happen with such a reputation? Nothing is too special about being a class champion and I didn't expect it. Isn't the most important part of learning the process?” my exposition. Brother Garuda nodded.

“I totally agree with you. The problem of results is God's business. Unfortunately, my father did not think so. He always compared Eagles to me. He educated us hard, requiring us to set targets and fight to achieve them. Actually it's good, but when the Eagle fails Papa shouldn't have to scorn and demean it. I think it was a cruel punishment that turned into a huge pressure.”

I glanced at their Papa's photo. From a single glance it had been discovered that the person was like that.

“The result is look at the Eagle now, quiet, ambitious, cold. I know it's not his fault. Had I been in her position, I might have also felt sick of being compared to my slightly luckier sister.”

“Looks like I've heard stories like this,” I murmured softly.

“Sorry, what did you say earlier?”

“Ah, no! It's nothing!”

Brother Garuda was silent while closing his eyes regretting all the unpleasant memories in his head, “I can't bear to see the Eagle always treated so, but Papa seemed to deliberately cultivate hatred with reason for the good of the Eagle himself. Which kind? The Eagle just slumped and felt wasted. That's why when I started college in this city, I asked the Eagle to stay with me so that he was far from Papa's terror. At first Papa disagreed and Eagle himself also refused, but eventually succeeded as well.”

Unconsciously I smiled. However, Garuda has managed to save his sister. So it feels like having a sister. From the time I had time to wish him, an older brother with warm hands outstretched whenever I needed to. Unfortunately the eagle has not opened its eyes. That cold and disrespectful attitude, what the hell try?!

“Eh, briefly, means your family home is not actually here?!” ask me to realize something.

“True, this house is only one of the assets of Mama that I used during college in this city. The main family home is in the city next door, the main office of the Papa company as well. Perhaps you are no stranger to the Dirgaraja Group? Well, that's the family company that will one day be passed on to me or the Eagle, but sssttt ... To be honest I'm not interested,” said Kak Garuda. I was busy remembering. Dirgaraja Group yes .. it seems like friends have also gossiped about it. Oh, let's not say the real estate company whose last year commercials appeared on that television. Hm, it turns out that I was chatting with the prospective heir.

“Oh, that Dirgaraja Group,” I replied.

“You're not surprised?”

“Do I need to be surprised?”

“No, anyway!”

“It's finished showing off?” a sudden voice. I don't know since when the Eagle has stood not far from us with a haggard face and sunken eyes typical of sick people. Maybe he didn't realize there was a heat-lowering plaster on his forehead.

“Wah, hi, sister! I'm surprised you can leave the bed alone! We were just about to force our way into your room! And again ... I'm not showing off, you know!” reply Brother Garuda. The eagle just kept quiet, turning his eyes to me.

“You too .. I thought Garuda was just bragging when he said someone visited me.”

“You really didn't call him brother? He's your brother, my protest”. The eagle just let out an annoyed breath then sat keeping his distance from Kak Garuda. Even when he was sick, he still sucks. Had my sister been at home like her, I wouldn't have hesitated to teach her a lesson.

“So much better?” my many.

“Yes obviously, this morning the Eagle could not walk upright like this. Now do you understand why I invited you here, Shira? That's .. ouch!” Kak Garuda's words were cut off as the lid of the jar floated on his eel.

“OK, well,” replied Kak Garuda resigned. Heh?! Fight, dong! His brother's brazen time he just kept quiet?!

“It's time to take the medicine, Ang. Your stomach can't be empty. I don't have to force you like that ‘ right? Shy look at Shira ..”

“You're ashamed, Gar! I can take my own meal,” replied the Eagle who had just risen immediately flicked his forehead by the older brother.

“Say you sit down, ugly! Your heat hasn't come down yet, nih! Shut up on the spot!” Garuda could force it. The eagle snorted bitterly while removing his brother's hand from his forehead.

Shit, why am I so jealous? I mean, I wanted to have a good brother and that kind of attention. The problem is, have I been a good brother to my sister? Hehe, not self-conscious!

“Today what's in school?” asked the Eagle when I started awkwardly not finding the topic of conversation.

“Class assessment, Indonesian rep, PR Bu Lis collected ... um, it seems like that,” I replied.

“How is the grade rating?”

“Beres, everything is handled. There's nothing to worry about. Tomorrow the agenda is loose. If it is still not healthy, you should rest first.”

“Ah, I've had a full rest all day,” replied the Eagle. Was he also sucked up in the gray world during this day's sleep? If he did he might have met Sekti, but I can't talk about it now.

Absent again. Garuda is not back yet. What exactly am I supposed to do here?

“How long have you been lost looking for my home?” the Eagle asked clearly. Who is lost?!

“Originally you know, Lang! I have absolutely no intention of coming here. Actually I was ... HEH! GEEZ! I FORGOT!” panicked shouting. Ouch, goods orders Sindi!

“I'm looking for Sindi's house to deliver the goods! Geez! Sindi must be waiting! How's this?!” I panicked checking my phone. There was no incoming message, meaning Sindi did not know I was late coming to her house.

“It's okay, Sindi is not home. His mother said before picking up Sindi that they would stay at a relative's house. So now there is no one in his house,” replied Kak Garuda appeared from inside bringing food and medicine to Eagle, “nih, spent loh, Ang!”

“Bodo highly!”

I felt a little relieved, a bit irritated as well because Nike told me before making sure Sindi was there or not.

“Oh, so was the chronology like that? Naturally, if you have the wrong address. Our houses are similar and face each other. Uh, do not-don't the goods ordered Sindi ... bag of snacks earlier yes?” tanya Kak Garuda grinned with a reddened face. The eagle choked on hearing it.

“Yes, Gar! How humiliating! Why should my brother be like you!”

“Sorry yes, Shira! I'll return it ..”

“Ti .. no need, Brother. Not that, really! Sindi's order item is in the bag,” I replied.

“That's right?”

“Iya, right. I should have apologized for the wrong address,” I replied.

“Oh, meaning that it was deliberately brought to Aang ‘kan? I know actually you also want to stop here at once. Don't be shy, ah!” kak Garuda is completely wrong.

“I didn't even know in advance that you are neighbors with Sindi,” I answered her statement, “just like Eagle and Sindi look close.”

“What? You are close to Sindi, Ang?!”

“Where is there?! Just sindi is weird!”

“That's a sign he wants your attention, Lang! Your time is unconscious?” my reply.

“Not, Sindi doesn't want me. He is after Garuda and pedophile this one is actually happy seduced by the centile girl!” reply Eagle.

“It's okay, dong! You are not jealous. After all I actually meant nothing but wanting a little sister! But seriously aren't you jealous, Ang? I don't want to be hated more by my sister just because of trivial problems,” replied Kak Garuda.

“No, that model just makes you! Besides, sorry if I was the unexpected younger brother,” replied the Eagle. Wow, check these two brothers exciting too. I was just watching while drinking my cold syrup.

“Yes, Ang! That's not what I mean! It's not that I wasn't expecting you, it seems like having one more little sister would be even more exciting! There will be mediators between us, but it seems impossible to ask for more sisters! Ah, nevermind! Besides my sister-in-law later girls ‘kan?”

“YA YES!” The eagle stiffened with his somewhat hoarse voice. I can't help but laugh. Well, Garuda's sister is all there is!

“Sorry, can I borrow the toilet?” my many.

“Oh, yes. From here straight then to the right after the kitchen. Need me to bring?” ask Kak Garuda.

“Thank you, can be alone.”

“Sama-sama! Ang, if you're done just put the plate on the table so I'll move it to the kitchen. You take your medicine immediately, understand?”

“Thank you, can be alone,” replied Eagle repeating my words. We clashed when we were both about to head back. I felt her skin was so hot. No, he's not as happy as he looks.

“Lang, you .. burning.”

“Ha?”

“Your condition is now very bad and are you really unable to obey your brother?!”

“I'm not happy to trouble ..”

“You are troubling the class because you did not enter and your brother also postponed his college assignment! If indeed you do not like to bother please just rest and get well soon, understand?!” I said I can't stand how stubborn this one human is, “quickly take your medicine and go back to bed!” my orders while taking over the plate from his hands, put it in the kitchen. The eagle clucked, but according to.

“Cih, fucking fever! Hurry up, I can't stand it!” the Eagle's grunt I faintly heard.

Upon my return from behind Kak Garuda had already done his job, plucking the flash from the laptop while the Eagle lay on the long sofa, asleep with his right arm raised covering his eyes.

“I think I should say goodbye, Brother, it's afternoon,”.

“Oh, yes. You walk ‘kan? Let me drive, and print outside. My printer is damaged, understand it for many years,” replied Kak Garuda.

“Eh, no need. Home far! Later for too long, the Eagle fell asleep alone here.”

“It is precisely because it is far away that I need to drive, the streets around here are also prone in the afternoon. Already yes, just according!” said Kak Garuda grabbed a jacket and wore it.

“Sorry if I don't help much here,”.

“Oh yes? I don't think it's easy taming this one kid, but you did it. So, you are obviously very helpful!” replied Kak Garuda with a smile that is really unusual for me, “lain time play here again ya!”
