Grizzled

Grizzled
Episode 2

I was surprised for the second time. The building I was standing in had also changed, whether since when. The floor on which I stand is not a white tiled floor, but like wood, or cement stone? I don't know, it looks fragile and a lot of holes. I couldn't understand staring at all this weirdness, I didn't know where to go.

A class? The class turned into a building that was as ugly as the one across the street, but not five minutes ago I just closed the door. My present class does not even have a door, for this piece of fragile wood that rests is not worthy of being called a door. Terrible, everything I saw was so gray.

Hesitatingly I stepped towards the stairs, not wanting to linger here. Again I gasped, no longer looking at the tiled stairs, but a gray brittle wood that was not safe to tread.

Not yet exhausted my wonder, the gray sky that was full of fog suddenly changed into increasingly dense, dark. Strange crystal-like objects looked like a full moon floating low in the middle of the field. My position on the second floor made the moon align straight with my gaze. It should be beautiful to see the moon this close, but the light it emits makes my romance crumble.

Unfortunately, I didn't have much time to understand the full moon. The sound of a roar similar to a savage beast was heard from below. I was on standby despite not having much of an idea, imagining a giant cat or a sun bear going berserk down there. However, my reflection about this place was always wrong. A large piece of wooden block hit the bottom of the staircase, leaving it almost half destroyed. I gulped to see the perpetrator of the destruction.

Not a wild animal, but a creature resembling a human — like the character of The Things from the movie Fantastic Four— but far from the word cool, a fierce roar down there. The skin is brown with gray bumps, like gecko skin, but looks clayy and thick. It was unclear what his face looked like, definitely short-statured with disgusting stocky arms.

Still with a hunting breath, the strange monster lifted up the large piece of wood that had smashed the stairs. This time his attention was turned to me, again roaring furiously. I trembled and turned around, running along the second-floor corridor.

The monster caught up, somehow climbing up here with that fragile ladder whose bottom had also been shattered. I might think about it because my condition is stuck at the end of the corridor. This building is not connected to the next building. Even in normal building conditions I do not want to jump to the second floor of the next building especially after the conditions change this way. No, I love my life.

That angry monster isn't far behind me. The steps are long even though the legs are short. The gray wood floor I was treading vibrated because of it. The large wooden beam in his hand was almost knocked out of me if I did not immediately enter the eleventh grade MIPA four.

Again, I remind you, this is not at all the four MIPA buildings or classes I know. This room is not even roofed without a door. A large, fragile-looking piece of wooden board I used to close the door. The wood trembled, the monsters outside must have been trying to break it. I leaned against the door to keep the room closed.

Long breaths with the heart racing. What strange event is this? Having no idea where to be and being suddenly chased by a strange monster made me wonderfully confused. Fifteen minutes ago, I was still studying in class. How can class eleven MIPA four identical to my class —painted light orange, white tile floor, window facing the direction of the sunset, the, and having rooftop— suddenly just a porous brittle wooden cubicle here and there? The roofless top shows the red sky during the day when it is out there at night. It was as if this dilapidated chamber had its own time system.

Enkakkan strongly almost knocked down this door I was proud of. I leaned even stronger, holding the direction of the monster's blow.

"Don't push it too hard!"

I was surprised to see this boy suddenly appear. That's why my backrest is weakening. The monster's hand had managed to flail inward even nearly barging in if this kid was late in holding the door.

"Don't push it too hard" repeated the boy again, "this wood is porous, I'm afraid it'll crumble, we can't hide anymore."

"But the monster is so strong! Isn't there a stronger barrier?" my many. She shook her head. If I were that kid, I wouldn't be hiding in this place.

"What if this wood is crushed by a monster earlier?"

"That's not going to happen," the boy replied so sure. I don't think he knows how this monster smashed the stairs.

"Remember one thing, if you meet the creature, immediately hide in the room, close the door and hold it, don't be too strong, which is important closed, he can't get in" he said.

He was still leaning against the door, holding it shut. His pale white skin was so contrasted with the wood he was stripping. Her silver hair is awesome. If there is a live action film The Rise Of The Guardian, then this child deserves to play Jack Frost.

"What do you know about this creature? Oh yeah, where is this? Where did you come from?" manyu. He just chuckles softly.

"I answer your question from behind yes," he said casually not at all looking tense despite the terrible monster behind the wood breaking nonstop, "first, first, I don't come from anywhere because I live in this room. Second, this is the other side of your school. Thirdly, the creature outside it had indeed been wandering here for a long time, going on a wild rampage, ruining things."

"Did he eat a human?" many stupid. It was clear that the creature was savage and destructive. Maybe he didn't eat humans.

"I don't think so, maybe he'll just make you a terrible monster just like he would if he got caught" he said. I gulped, unable to imagine what the creature was doing to turn me into a monster. What's like a dracula biting its victim? I don't know, I don't have an idea.

"So you said this is the other side of my school?"

"Yes, like a parallel world or something, I was looking for hundreds of years ago, but my big record is gone."

"Hundreds of years?"

"Yes, there's not much I know about this place even for centuries."

"That means you weren't born here?"

His face turned soft. Still with his position holding the door, his eyes fell on the floor full of holes.

"I. .. also don't even know that," he replied softly, "there is a lot of gray fog blocking the picture of my past, but I know that there is a parallel world out there, the world that seemed to be where I was born before being stuck here forever."

Forever then? I get goosebumps hearing it.

"Then what about me? Can I go home?" I asked again something stupid. How could he possibly know the answer if even himself had been trapped here for hundreds of years without being able to get out. The boy was silent and did not answer. The topic of his missing memories made his mood deteriorate. He became very quiet and so moody.

I couldn't help it, I cried hysterically looking at him, moaning like a possessed man. My body is numb and I cannot control it. My consciousness returned when the boy massaged my feet, there was warmth flowing from there, making my consciousness return even though my body was still convulsing hard to control.

"Door ... door ..." I said stammered to see the wooden board that had been propped up had collapsed.

"It's okay, the creature has gone," he replied, still streaming a warm sensation that continued to spread throughout my body. I felt calmer, lying limp staring at the sky which was now purple. I'm still worried about the door being opened.

"Calm down, he won't come back" he replied as if he could read my mind. I forced myself to sit with his help. Every now and then the boy stared at the sky that was beginning to change as well.

"May I know your name? My name is Sakti" he said.

"Shira, my name is Shira. Sorry I didn't introduce myself. I'm so freaked out."

"It's okay, no one can relax when lost in the middle of nowhere with that monstrous monster."

"Thank you for helping."

"Together, sorry we couldn't talk any longer, you have to get out of here."

"I? Go where?"

"Wherever you go, stay away from this room."

"No want! That monster is going after me again!"

"No, outside during the day, he will not wander, it is precisely in this room that is dangerous, look here it is getting dark," he once again looked at the sky which was now deep purple.

"Then we go out together" I replied.

"Can't, Shira!"

"Can! Whynot? I don't want to go outside if I'm not with you!"

"Go quickly, Shira! Or you'll be stuck here forever!" the Sakti Command is firm. I'm shaking.

"Then what about you?!" my objection is still stubborn while this room has become night.

Gelagat Sakti started to get weird, occasionally he snorted indistinctly. I could hear low growls from him. There were many gray veins appearing on his skin. The growling gets louder. I stepped back.

"Go quickly, Shiraaa! Ahh!!!"

In a split second, the figure of Sakti had turned into a monster like the one that had been chasing me.

"Yahoooo!!!"

"Let'sahh!"

Without being ordered again I immediately ran outside. A foul smell had been smelled ever since Sakti turned into a monster. Crazy one! What does this all mean!

The Milky Way monster did not walk upright like the monster before, but it resembled an ape walking a bit bent over. His movements were slow, trailing far behind me, but this stench crept so fast. I was getting nauseous, spewing out whatever was in my stomach.

Unusual nausea, as if my life could also come out with my vomit. The Sakti monster went back into the room, but the smell never disappeared. I can't take it anymore. Finally the gray fog again wrapped my gaze.  I fainted, I think so.

But I don't want to give up. I forced the rest of my consciousness to crawl away. Suddenly the floor I was standing on seemed to disappear. I reached the empty space. My view is still gray.

My hands did not stop flailing in any direction, looking for the boundary of this unbounded gray space. A moment later I felt gravity, the sensation of falling, but my body seemed to be pulled upwards. I don't understand how to explain it.

The point when the gray fog started to fade that I saw first was.

Haah! Crazy one!
