Chapter 71 All Is Well
Azka was already at the hotel shortly after the adzan maghrib reverberated. Along with the arrival of his father and his mother after a long trip Jakarta - Jayapura by using their family's private jet. This is a relief for Dea who continues to think about the situation of her husband out there amid the chaos that had made the atmosphere of the city gripping.
While relaxing with a warm atmosphere together on the sofa, suddenly the door was knocked from the outside, Azka rushed to open the door and she found Aldo with a woman.
Wait. It seems Azka recognized the face of the woman who had been looking down behind Aldo. Azka squinted her eyes at Aldo asking for an explanation.
Ignoring Azka, Aldo pulled Chyntia's hand into the hotel room and then walked closer to Dea, where there was also Arga's father and Aya's mother.
"Assalamu'alaikum, um, aunt.. Dea." Say hello to Aldo with his hands holding Chyntia's hands.
"Wa'alaikum salutations." Answer them simultaneously. But at once their eyes were round to see the woman Aldo had brought with him.
They only realized that it was Chyntia with a bulging stomach, downcast and slightly hiding behind Aldo's stocky arms.
"Chyn. Come sit here near my mother." Mother Aya tried to neutralize her shock and then shifted to make room for Chyntia on her empty side.
"I.iya aunt." Said Chyntia hesitantly looking at Aldo who was then taken by Aldo.
Chyntia shook Aya's mother's hand and sat down beside her. She still remained silent and kept her head down, nervousness got the hang of her, she squeezed the tip of her hijab nonstop.
Everyone was naturally aware of Chyntia's current state. Azka also just chose silence, he continued to wrap one hand on the possessive Dea's waist and one more hand he used to hold Dea's hand as if to say, "all is well." In fact, Dea was not suspicious or distrustful of Azka, she was only quite surprised to see that Chyntiq was here in a state of great pregnancy.
"I want to say something" Aldo said, calling attention to make all eyes look at him impatiently. With the exception of Chyntia who suddenly stiffened. Mother Aya tried to stroke Chyntia's back so that she was a little more relaxed.
"Tomorrow morning, we'll get married. I asked Om and Azka to be witnesses. I have all prepared. Please pray the blessing." Aldo said firmly.
All were still silent, no response, but Aldo knew the curiosity of the people in the room.
"That's my son, sorry to tell you." Aldo doesn't want to talk much, it's not the time to explain his condition. He just wanted to tell.
"Well, the sooner the better." Said Arga's father staring intently at Aldo. He was quite disappointed with Aldo who impregnated women out of wedlock. Although Aldo was not his son, he considered Aldo to be his own son in view of his friendship with Azka and his loyalty and commitment to the company.
"Sorry." Said Aldo bowed, feeling guilty.
Azka sighed softly, staring at the one-on-one two friends. The complicated relationship between the three of them was not something that was easily erased, but he also realized that it was just the past. We cannot step back to change the story that once happened, but what can be done now is to start again and make a more human ending.
"Honey, take Chyntia to tell me first, brother has business with Aldo." His whisper to Dea was immediately greeted enthusiastically by Dea.
"Mba Chyn, we're going to the balcony yuk." Invite him without hesitation to pull Chyntia's hand.
While Chyntia was staring at Dea, she never expected good treatment from Dea after what she had done to her. It's hard to forgive. Chyntia looked at Aldo and Azka doubtfully, asking for their approval. After feeling permission, he finally got up and followed Dea.
"How are you doing, Chyn?" Dea asked after she and Chyntia both stood leaning their belly on the Balcony guardrail. The night air and the sea breeze surrounded them.
Chyntia took a deep breath, exhaling it slowly, holding it in her chest. A bit of tightness still remained, yet he tried to swallow all his feelings.
"Alhamdulillah, fine. You how? How many months?" He asked a glance at Dea's distended stomach.
"Alhamdulillah, good also mba. It's been 6 months a week."
"Good good." Chyntia said sincerely. He looked at Dea with teary eyes. "Sorry, sir." His words bowed, some of his tears falling now.
"I'm sorry too, ma'am." Dea clasped one hand of Chyntia holding onto the fence.
Chyntia then ventured into embracing Dea. For a long time he wanted to let go of all the burdens of guilt that overshadowed his life, unsettled.
Dea returned Chyntia's embrace. Although there was still a hint of anger lingering in his heart, yet his common sense led him to temper all of it. Whether sincere or not, Dea was unlikely to ignore Chyntia's current apology.
Dea gently stroked Chyntia's back, in silence and a hiccup of Chyntia's cries. They then untied the embrace after Chyntia could ease a hiccup.
"I'm sorry it makes you uncomfortable." Chyntia was uncomfortable with her behavior. They weren't close enough to make him be able to shed a little of his life's burden.
"It's not okay, we've known for a long time. The friend of bang Azka is my best friend too if you don't mind."
Chyntia bowed, "thank you." Her speech.
"It looks like you're really at home standing there, aren't your legs tingling?" Ask Mother Aya who knows when she will be standing at the balcony door.
"Eh.mother." Dea smilingly looked at her in-laws then took them to sit on the available seats on the balcony. "Sit yuk mbak."
"Udah wants to be in 9 months, aunt."
"When is the HPL (approximate day of birth)?" Ask Mother Aya again.
"Aunty's 20th." Chyntia replied with a slightly forced smile. He was afraid he was also feeling bad. Still burdened with his actions in the past, even though the Azka family was so good to him and his family.
"Healthy well, aunty pray good luck until D-day. You and your baby are healthy. Aamiin's."
"Aamiin's." Chyntia and Dea at the same time.
"Do not hesitate if you need something. We are your family too, just like Aldo." Said Aya's mother who knew a little about the problems that befell her after participating in Azka and Aldo's conversation in front of earlier.
"Yes aunt, sorry." Chyntia replied feeling still uneasy.
"Udah. do not need to remember again the events that have passed. Now you focus on yourself and your child and the family you will build with Aldo. Be happy, take all the happy things that come to you. You deserve to be happy, maybe not with the person you dream of, but with the person who dreams of happiness with you. It's not bad, it's possible that's true happiness." Aya's mother's words gently stroked the back of Chyntia's hand.
"Yes aunt, thank you. Thank you for the kindness of aunt and Dea. Thank you." Thank you." Chyntia could not hold back her tears.
Dea stood up to Chyntia and patted her on the shoulder, calming her down.
"Thank you, De. Ma'am really apologized to you."
"Yes, Dea sorry. Now she is Dea's brother. Brother Dea like bang Aldo."
"Thank you, De. Thank you." Thank you."
The atmosphere of the haru completely enveloped them. Apologizing is not an easy job, and forgiving is also much more difficult, because there is a sense of sincerity that accompanies it. While sincere it is not as easy as said. We may say that we have sincerely forgiven, but the heart is still pinched every time we remember it, has not it been said sincerely?
Aldo and Azka join them, the awkward atmosphere regains control. Mother Aya herself chose to leave the four of them. Still guessing with each other's minds, waiting for each other who will open the voice first.
"We'll rest first." Aldo broke the silence.
"Don't go to dinner?" Azka.
"Chyntia's still tired, tomorrow's breakfast." Elak Aldo's. "Corn." His voice pulled Chyntia's hand to stand up from her seat.
"Bro, not yet halal. You take another room sono." Tegur Azka while joking.
"Damn lo." Ketus Aldo's.
"Chy..."
The Chyntia movement was restrained. He stared at Azka's face.
"Blessed, I really don't want to lose you again. We are friends forever."
Chyntia's eyes warmed up again, a smile on her face. Dea stroked Chyntia's back gently, reassuring her that they really wanted to start something new and leave the old story behind.
"Thanks, Ka." - "Thanks." Sincerely speaking. "Thank you, you're always the best." He said while shrinking his tears.
Aldo approached her and embraced her soft shoulders.
"We say goodbye first. De, tomorrow help your sister-in-law well, make her the prettiest." Aldo glanced at Dea.
"Ready, bang." Dea smiled cheerfully as she brandished her two thumb fingers.
Azka and Dea join hands, looking at the sea that is crossed presents the beauty of the city of Jayapura at night. They breathed a sigh of relief, amidst the troubles that were brewing, there was a speck of hope of kindness that accompanied.
