DREAM OF THE SHADOW

DREAM OF THE SHADOW
CHAPTER 67

Shua was on the phone with her father to find out about the development of their company. It has been two weeks since he began to interfere again with work problems. William has been very dizzy to take care of everything after all these years he retired.

"Can't be, Pa. Costs should not be too pressed, later the quality is also bad." Shua got up from her seat and walked slowly to the balcony.

"Loss dong, son!" objection William.

"No. Shua has given me the price range. As long as it's no more than that, it's still Pa's safe." Shua looked at the slightly overcast sky that afternoon.

"Dear you can walk" said William.

"Mama is unbelievable. And Shua told me not to tell Papa."

"Your work! Already know the head of Papa want to break the work. Still want to be kept secret too? When's home?" William immediately shot the question that he had been detained.

"Fastly, Pa. Shua was already kangen with Yuna. Papa don't tell him Shua wants to go home. But maybe another week because there's still two physiotherapy."

That's how Shua spent her last days there. He looks so excited. Shua feels since her relationship improved with Yuna, not knowing why her condition is improving so quickly. It is true that being friendly to a predestined state by God makes our lives feel more perfect because of the gratitude we have. Shua also feels bored, she wants to return to her work routine. And another one that she is focused on now, is continuing her wedding plans with her lover Yuna. Long live, Yuna called her while she was thinking about the woman.

"Yes, honey." replied Shua.

"Darling, I'm planning on going there this Friday."

"Huh? Rest first, no need to rush. You just got healed." Shua is surprised by Yuna's arrival plans.

"I'm healthy" he said.

"Partially you don't miss me?" keep Yuna.

"It's not that you don't miss, but you shouldn't have to come here, Yuna. I want to focus on my treatment first. BY ONESELF. I'll let you know if I'm ready to see you." Shua held her laugh as she said that. He was eager to see Yuna's expression at that moment.

"How come you said that?" Yuna sounded sad.

"Indeed so. I want to get well soon, if you stay here I can't focus" Shua said. He actually did not have the heart to say that, but that was the only thing that could hold back Yuna from coming there.

"Alright if that's what you want." Yuna hung up on him. The conversation with Yuna earlier made her want to go home sooner.

Shua came out of her room and headed to Vanya's room. He was a little worried about seeing the girl. He pulled the door of Vanya's room while calling her name. Five calls still have no answer. Finally Shua entered, he saw that Vanya was lying on her back to Shua.

"Vanya, are you okay?" Shua touched her slightly shaking shoulders. Vanya finally turned around while grimacing in pain.

"To.long Vanya Kak's. Please son Vanya." he said while holding his big belly.

"Yeah!!! Mamaa!!" Shua shouted to her mother. Shua called an ambulance. If only his legs had been very strong, he would have carried Vanya to the hospital next door.

"You why Van? Can't you wake?" Shua tried to lift up Vanya's body which looked very weak.

After waiting twenty minutes, the doctor who examined Vanya came out.

"Mother Vanya suffered from acute anemia during pregnancy. I have often reminded him to undergo medication and blood transfusions. Did he never tell you this?" Nissa and Shua looked at each other as if asking for answers until they both shook their heads.

"So how's it going now, Doc?" ask Nissa.

"The baby must be removed immediately because the oxygen that flows is also getting less. For a while we've been giving blood transfusions. We ask you or Mom to sign a consent form for a caesarean."

"alright. I beg you to save them both Doc." Nissa clasped the woman's doctor's hand.

"I will try my best, ma'am" said the doctor, leaving them both still unable to believe what happened to Vanya.

That day Vanya felt his body more limp than yesterday. At that time the age of Vanya content entered the fifth month. He and Nissa are busy moving Shua to Singapore. Vanya decided to see a doctor before she left. Doctors have diagnosed her with anemia. They are required to take blood-boosting supplements. He just casually responded to it because during his time as an artist, Vanya was often anemic.

Vanya lives her days in Singapore in loneliness. Brother Josh seemed to be away from him since Yuna's departure. Mama Nissa always accompanied Josh in the hospital. Vanya herself just stayed in the apartment. Only once a week he goes to the hospital to visit Joshua because he is also afraid of Joshua's attitude which seems to be angry with him.

Life is too cruel for him. Suppose he used to have an abortion maybe he would not have suffered this much. Ahhhh... What's he thinking now? Vanya begins to fall in love with Jovan, her son. Ever since he felt a strong pulse in his stomach that turned out to be a Jovan kick, he had promised to look after it with love.

His headache is becoming. Why is he getting weaker every day? Vanya has tried to eat all the supplements and healthy foods, but everything seems never enough. The hemoglobin in his blood was always decreasing and far below normal. He did not dare to tell everything to Mama Nissa who was focusing on Brother Josh. Vanya just always tells her doctor to save her son if something bad happens to her. Of course Vanya is looking forward to meeting Jovan. The strong boy who had accompanied him went through all of this.

Vanya's vegetables heard the sound of baby crying. Jovans. Jovan was born.

'Thank you God. Thank you for forgiving my sins and answering my prayers.' Vanya did not know if she was crying too. Wanting herself to call Jovan's name and hug her tiny body. Why can't his eyes open? Why can't his hands be raised?

'God, I am selfish. But can you grant me one more prayer? I beg.' Vanya tried her hardest to open her eyes. Jovan kept crying. Vanya just wanted to hold her and calm her down.

"Suster, the bleeding won't stop. Give transfusions. Hurry along!" Vanya heard someone talking in a panicked tone. Is that for her?

'Oh no, not now God! Please wake me up! I beg!'

The bright light made his eyes glare. The figure of the tiny creature was slowly seen in the sling of a woman. Jovans. That's Jovan. The baby was very tiny because it was premature. But thankfully, it seemed like all of his organs were complete and healthy. Thank you Lord.

"Doctor, the patient is unconscious again!" The last words he heard.

All soon became quiet. Vanya no longer heard Jovan's voice.

'Thank you God. You are still answering this sinner's last prayer.' his mind is without sound.
