DREAM OF THE SHADOW

DREAM OF THE SHADOW
CHAPTER 64

"Ma, look." Shua could move her legs and started to stand up slowly. Nissa who saw him screamed happily and hugged his son. Finally after two months of therapy in Singapore, Shua's hard work was seen. He could stand on his own and it seemed like he would soon be able to walk.

Joshua asks his mother not to tell Yuna about her development to give her a little surprise. It has been almost a month since his meeting with Yuna in Singapore. Actually last week Yuna was supposed to come, but it's off because Yuna has a fever. And what bothered Shua's mind was the male figure who answered her phone to Yuna's phone.

The atmosphere in Yuna's office was very chaotic. Many times Cathy went in and out carrying the files Yuna requested.

"Not this one Cat. Map blue. There's Adit's signature there." Cathy came out again with the white map she was carrying.

Yuna glanced at the bottom right screen of her computer. At 15:36. Flight's at 19:05. He has to go to the airport in two hours while his work is still very much. For the umpteenth time he grimaced pain in his stomach. Yuna had taken the heartburn medicine an hour ago, but it didn't seem to have much effect.

"Aduuhh shit! I had lunch." He complained of pain. But Yuna was sure soon the heartburn would go away.

"Hello Dylan." Yuna held up her phone which read.

"You're going to the airport at half-six?"

"So" he answered while checking the budget costs made by his financial manager.

"I picked it up at the office. Your bag has been taken, right?"

"It has. I'm stuck in the security post. Don't let Adit know. He likes to ask a lot." said Yuna. Yes, he will leave on Friday and will be back Monday morning. He was just going to the office.

"Come on my stomach, be friends!" Yuna said while rubbing her stomach.

Two hours later Yuna managed to endure her pain while working. He only told Cathy about her departure.

"Who did you pick up? Dylan's? Where's dylan?" the sweet girl asked in wonder.

"The Dylan Silver Building."

"That cool widower?"

"He's never married Cathy."

"How are you familiar? Are you.." he asked suspiciously.

"We're just friends. Stop that delusion. I go first, yeah, I'll tell you." Yuna got off through the elevator in a hurry. Sometimes he still rubs his stomach. He walked to the security post to pick up his small suitcase while Dylan parked his car nearby.

"Here, I bring it." Dylan suddenly appeared behind him.

Yuna walks behind Dylan and gets into his car. He rested his body and head on the white chair seat. Yuna tried to relax, maybe the pressure of her job earlier made her cramp her stomach. Oh no, why does the pain add up to now. The pain is even felt up to the lower right abdomen.

"Itahhhh...." Yuna grimaced in pain.

"You why Yun?" Dylan had just run his car for five minutes when he was startled by Yuna's moans.

"My stomach hurts. I seem to have a stomach ulcer, but it's getting sicker now." Yuna really couldn't help it anymore.

"We're going to the hospital now."

"The gap!! We'll be late."

"When are you going to be sick? Nor will I let you go if you're sick like this." Dylan did not wait for Yuna's answer or approval. For him, the health and safety of the woman he was assessing was the most important now.

Arriving at the hospital, Yuna could not even walk anymore. He was taken by Dylan to the ER. Dylan saw Yuna crying in her cradle. Not knowing whether he was sick withholding pain or sick because there was a possibility Yuna could not meet her lover. Dylan had to wait outside the ER as the nurses brought Yuna inside. He worries about Yuna's condition, which looks very painful.

Fifteen minutes of waiting....

"His guardian?"

"Yes, I'm a friend of his. His family's abroad."

"Look. Yuna's mother had appendicitis and had to have surgery. For a while we will be giving pain medication. The operation will be carried out tomorrow morning, at least Mother Yuna must fast for eight hours before the operation."

"Good Doc. But it's not dangerous, is it Doc?" ask Dylan.

"No really. It's a general operation. We just pray everything is good. Our plan will be to perform a laparoscopy so as not to leave large incisions. The recovery is faster than regular surgery." Dylan nodded.

Yuna woke. He realized he was in the hospital room. Yuna also knew she had missed the plane that would take her to meet Shua.

"Huhu..." He breathed a disappointed breath. This is the meaning of the phrase man can plan, but God is the one who determines.

Yuna looked at the room she was in. He guessed this was the VIP or VVIP room possible. He didn't know because Dylan took care of it. Yuna wanted to grab the phone on the left desk, but her hand was being infused. He had to contact Shua because he should have arrived an hour ago.

"Yuna, what are you doing?" Dylan hurriedly put down the paper bag he was carrying.

"I'm gonna take my hape. I need to call Shua. He must be waiting for me."

"I'm sorry. But there was a call from him and I answered. But I'm just saying you didn't leave because of the fever. I'm afraid you're upset if I say you'll be operated on tomorrow." she explained. Yuna thought for a moment.

"You're right. He can't know. Shua was focusing on her treatment. I'll call her later. Did he ask you who?" ask Yuna.

"I answer I'm your friend. Don't you?"

"What else did he ask?"

"You say something, I say you sleep." Dylan answered flatly. Honestly, he didn't want to pick up the phone. Dylan picked it up on the second call. However, he feels responsible for reporting Yuna's circumstances that did not come there. His heart thumped when he heard the voice of the man who was Yuna's lover. Thumped because Dylan considered him a heavy opponent.

"Dylan, why are you here again? Didn't you just say you were going home?" ask Yuna.

"I can't possibly leave you alone here, let alone in the morning you'll be operated on."

"I can ask Cathy here."

"No, I'm your wali. I will accompany you. Ok?" Dylan.

Yuna was in no condition to argue. He's just a little uncomfortable if Dylan sees him sleeping.

"Dylan, can I call Shua for a second?"

"Of course I can." Dylan took Yuna's phone.

"Want me out?" Ask Dylan. Yuna thought for a while then shook her head.

"I just called her, not the video call." Yuna replied as she dialed the number.

"Hello, Honey. I'm sorry I can't go there." The call made Dylan feel a little heartburn. He acted as if he was indifferent while playing games on his phone.

"It's okay. You still sick? Where else is it now?" ask Shua.

"I? Doctor infused me. He said I was hospitalized for two days until the fever dropped. But I'm healthy, baby, don't worry."

"How could I not worry about you? I was shocked to death when a friend told me you were in the hospital. Office friends, huh?"

"Not an office friend. He's our corporate partner." Yuna was confused as to how to answer it.

"I'm a video call, baby." said Shua and the phone screen suddenly asked Yuna for her approval to turn on the camera. Yuna gestured for Dylan to get away from her face but Dylan did not see her.

"You're so pale darling" said Shua. Dylan suddenly turned his head towards Yuna as he clearly heard the voice of the man across there.

"Oh yeah? But I feel a little better." Yuna replied as she slightly glanced at Dylan.

"You doing a good job, honey?" ask Yuna.

"Fluent. It's just that I missed you half dead. I've prepared a little surprise for you tonight." Shua sounded disappointed.

'Oh, I'd better get out before my stomach grows heartbroken at their conversation.' Dylan stood up from his chair. But damn it, his leg tripped over the chair leg and hit his shin.

"By ooowww!!!!" Dylan shouted involuntarily.

"Who is that, honey?" Shua's question made Yuna gawk without answering her.
