DREAM OF THE SHADOW

CHAPTER 24

Yuna was a little surprised to hear Joshua's name and saw the familiar figure on stage. Not for a minute, Cathy immediately came to him and asked many questions that were not answered by Yuna at all. Either because he enjoyed the beautiful song, or was looking for answers to Cathy's questions. Shortly before the song was over, his eyes met Shua's shady eyes. The man was a little surprised to find the woman he missed was there.

Yuna felt the same feeling, but there was something punching her heart as she watched the girl in front of her close the song by leaning her head on the shoulder of the man beside her. Yuna remained clapping and forced a smile on her face.

"Woows...You two look really cool, really strong chemistry. By the way who is this handsome guy Vanya?" The woman thrusts the mic into Vanya but with lightning speed Shua takes the mic.

"I'm her brother." replied Shua.

"Ooo...I just found out Vanya has a sister this cool hahaha...Thank you for your performance, we applaud again for Vanya Aprilia and her brother Joshua." They both got off the stage. Shua walked towards Yuna, he did not heed Vanya's call behind her.

"Hi, why didn't you tell me to come here? Can I get you?" Shua felt that the question was quite ridiculous. New Yuna will answer him, but Vanya's hand that embraces Shua's arm makes her voice choked.

"A fast way. Who's she?" Vanya's eyes looked at a woman wearing a denim jacket in front of him. Not too beautiful compared to her, but looks graceful with her casual appearance.

Yuna stretched out her hand to get acquainted. Too long waiting for Shua who just silently looked at him.

"Yuna, Shua's friend" Yuna said with a sweet smile.

"I'm Vanya." replied the girl without mentioning her relationship status with Joshua which was actually awaited by Yuna.

"Yes I know, you're quite famous." Yuna wasn't lying. He often sees Vanya on television. When other people painstakingly take her pictures, Yuna can even get acquainted with her.

'Famous enough? Just enough? I'm very famous tau?!' vanya lamented inwardly but continued to develop her smile.

"Have you eaten Yun? Eat with yuk." Shua was finally able to control herself.

"Night Mr. Joshua. Yuna hasn't eaten yet, from just now just drank a doank. He's eating first sir." Cathy slightly pushed Yuna towards Shua.

"Oh sorry, our table up ahead is full." Vanya's answer makes Cathy a second enemy after Sundel Becca. He was smart enough to guess what Vanya meant.

"We can sit behind Yun. Brother go there first Van, you can go back to the front desk." Haha....Cathy shouted excitedly at Joshua's reply, but of course only inwardly. He could see a change in Vanya's expression that was very dislikeful of what Joshua had said earlier.

"You're Vanya Aprilia's sister?" asked Yuna who had heard the name "sister" earlier.

"It could be considered that way, but we don't have blood ties."

"So mama I was with mama Vanya from school first. Her parents are gone, so you used to think of her as your own son." Shua further explained her relationship with Vanya hoping that Yuna did not misunderstand her closeness with Vanya earlier.

"Oh." Yuna replied briefly.

'So not a sibling. Brother-make doang.' Thought Yuna while eating a piece of beef with a vegetable salad that she had taken earlier. Entrance tickets to the cafe include food that can be taken as much.

"You're tumben out at this hour? Usually if tomorrow's work you don't like going out at night." Shua also picked up the same menu as Yuna, only adding a small amount of fries on her plate.

"Where is your divorce going?" shua asked in a slower voice and tone. Yuna seemed to have guessed with the question that the man was going to ask.

"It's done." He smiled a little relieved. Relieved that he did not need to call Shua to report it. I don't know what the man would think if Yuna did that.

"really?" Shua could not hide her happy expression. But it only lasted two seconds before his face changed again.

"Sorry Yun, I don't mean to be happy about your problems. I'm just glad to see your case is over."

"It's okay. I'm also relieved. You know how much this has haunted me for." Shua noticed Yuna who was a little different than usual.

"Are you sure it's okay?"

"You honest? Of course I'm why-why hahaha...I'm a widow now and my parents don't know that. I got divorced because my husband preferred the woman I introduced to him as my best friend hahaha... Ironic right?" Yuna turned her fork and knife. He felt a little sorry for what he said earlier. Maybe her stress is turbulent asking out.

"Cat, I'm going home first. Looks like I'm tired, do you want to come home or are you still here?" tanyakanya. Joshua was only two feet away from them.

"Mmh..." Cathy looked confused by the choice to be taken. He wants to accompany Yuna home, but he also knows Joshua still wants to be with Yuna and Cathy does not want to bother him.

"Yuna..Are you avoiding me?" shua asked in the elevator.

"I'll drive you home. Tomorrow morning we'll get your car. I'll pick you up at home." Shua pulled Yuna's arm.

"Sister Josh!! Wait Vanya!" Vanya ran small towards the two people. Yuna released Shua's handrails.

"I'll go home first Shua. You can take care of your little sister first." Yuna got into her car and left the place. Yet his heart still lingered there, Yuna's eyes constantly wanting to glance towards the man through her rearview mirror. What did they do after he left? Oh, he'd love to hide behind a big pole in front of him.

Yuna knew she was wrong to treat Shua like that. If he wanted to obey his feelings, he wanted to hug Shua. Saying that he will learn to accept Shua in his life because it seems like he also has the same feelings. He wants to ask Shua to help him forget the pain of love. It makes him believe that love really exists. But Yuna's common sense and logic are still running. Just tell his parents he has not dared. Yuna will wait for the right moment. He believed Shua would wait for him any minute. Even if not, Yuna knew she still had the remnants of strength to deal with it.

"Vanya doesn't want Josh to get too close to her." Joshua stopped his car in front of the apartment complex bearing the word TITANIUM in front of the fountain with the colorful lights.

"Had liked Josh's brother." Yup, Vanya will not buy time to express feelings that have been buried long enough. Joshua smiled at the statement.

"I like you too." Joshua ruffled the girl's hair.

"Stop messing with my hair Brother. I'm not a kid anymore. L like you. I love you, Brother." Joshua pulled his hand from Vanya's hair. He knew the girl was serious about what she said.

"Vanya, I think you misinterpreted our relationship. All this time I've only thought of you..."

"Sister? Vanya doesn't want to be your sister. Vanya wants us to be able to spend a lot of time together, be able to hold hands, date, and one day Vanya hopes we can get married." A drop of her tears flowed while clasping Shua's hands gaping in confusion.

"We'll talk about it later ok?" Joshua looked into Vanya's eyes. Vanya knew there was no point in arguing with Joshua. It means later. Vanya went down in annoyance to the classic luxury apartment. The night that he was waiting for was turned into chaos because of the presence of a woman named Yuna.
