DREAM OF THE SHADOW

CHAPTER 13

"Adit, Joshua asked for your cooperation" Yuna said as she walked into her husband's room.

"Joshua's? Joshua William's? He came here when I wasn't around?" tanyakanya.

"Yes. We talked for a while and talked a little about work. I don't really understand that yet, so I said I'd tell you." Yuna sat down in front of Adit.

"You've already met?" ask Adit.

"It just so happened that we were schoolmates" Yuna replied.

"Oh, so. It's a coincidence that a handsome man like him was your friend and now my friend" Adit said. Yuna did not respond to the word in the slightest even though the word slightly offended her. He and Adit did not talk much after Adit returned from Surabaya. He's a little upset. Maybe very upset. Adit had already tried to find chat material if they were together, but the shadow of Becca and her being there for two days had fed him up.

"alright. I just want to convey that. I'm out first." Yuna moved out of her chair.

"Darling, how about we eat together?" ask Adit. Yuna stopped and looked.

"You talking to me?" tanyakanya.

"Who else?"

"I'm confused, sometimes you call me dear, sometimes by name. How do you know you picked up the phone again, I didn't see you just now. Now I can't be that confident, who thinks your affectionate calling is just for me." Yuna slightly vented her frustration. She had just gotten her period this morning, and it signified she had to wait another month in hope. That's if they do.

"I'm sorry. So how was my lunch? You want?" ask Adit.

"All right." Yuna replied expressionlessly.

"So you made an appointment with Jo?" Adit chopped the bakmie he ordered.

"Not yet, I want to ask you first. You have business with him. I don't know your schedule with...." Yuna stopped her words.

"Schedule your office." Revisioned it.

"Later I will arrange it with Silvi. I'll let you know if there's a schedule" Adit said.

"All right."

"So tell me how close you were to Jo?" ask Adit. He's curious. Actually Adit does not think that Yuna used to have a relationship that is too close to Joshua. Adit knew what Yuna was like, not to vilify her, just....Yes, Adit knows if the school-age guy must have approached a beautiful girl. Especially Joshua's classmate, handsome and rich. It is highly unlikely that Joshua and Yuna have a relationship. The biggest possibility is that Yuna likes Joshua.

"We've only ever been managers of OSIS together. At that time he was the chairman." Yuna replied lightly.

"just that? You didn't like it first?" ask Adit.

"you reckon? Is there a girl who doesn't like him?" Yuna laughs. He cannot deny that reality. Adit is upset by Yuna's answer even though he admits it.

"Hello." Adit held up his vibrating phone on the table.

"Oh well, I'll be there soon" he said. Yuna could guess who was calling Adit just from her tone.

"Darling, what's wrong with you?" Becca gets into Adit's car with a pale face.

"I'm so weak, baby. My head is dizzy" he said.

"We're going to the doctor." Becca nodded while closed. Adit drove his car to the hospital. Becca called her that she was sick and asked Adit to pick her up at the bimbel.

"It looks like Rebecca's mother is limp because she's pregnant, sir. To be more certain, you can be referred to an obstetrician" said the young doctor who was on guard in the ER. Adit was surprised not to play heard the news. But she hasn't told Becca before the obstetrician gives her certainty. Adit sees Becca sleeping and he immediately enrolls Becca to the obstetrician there.

"Why did we come here?" ask Becca who invited Adit to the obstetrician at the same hospital when he woke up earlier.

"You just fucked up." Adit embraces Becca and walks into the room. Becca answered some questions from her doctor about how she felt and her menstrual schedule. Until finally he was in USG.

"Mom see that dark circle? That's the baby in the mother's womb. Not looking like a baby yet because she's only two months old." Becca is surprised instead of playing, she looks to Adit. Adit laughed happily at her and kissed Becca on the forehead.

"Thank you dear" he said to Becca. Rebecca smiled. He knew this would or could happen. Ever since they admitted their relationship, Becca never again took her KB pills. Adit always reminded him to always take the Pill. But Becca desperately wants something that can tie her to Adit even if it's not through marriage.

'At least I'm luckier than Yuna. Take it easy, son, will make sure you have papi when you are born later. Mom promise.' Becca stroked her stomach.

"Where did you know I was pregnant?" becca asked while lying in her bedroom with Adit.

"From the doctor, watch the ER while you sleep." Adit rubbed Becca's hair.

"You happy?" ask Becca. Adit nodded. He could not hide his happiness. A smile never leaves his face. She did not want to ask why Becca could get pregnant if she took the Pill. Adit also did not want to think about Yuna's reaction as they would hide it temporarily. Adit doesn't want any fuss when Becca's pregnant.

"For your health, there is no need to go to the stand if you are not healthy. I'll find a housekeeper to help you."

"I..what if my stomach has grown baby? How do I take care of the bimbel?" ask Becca with the spoiled.

"You leave it to someone to take care of it. You don't need to go there." Becca is sad to hear Adit's answer. He realized he could not just act because he was pregnant when he was not married.

"Have, don't think much, baby. You just have to take care of our son. I will visit you often. I'm staying over tonight. I'm sorry I can only stay three nights a week, but I promise I'll see you every day. One more thing, I ask you not to tell Yuna about this. I don't want any commotion. Ok?" Becca nodded. He will obey Adit now. Becca will find another way later. She just needs to be patient and enjoy her pregnancy for a while.

Yuna gets Adit's message that she's not coming home tonight. Yuna had been used to it for a month. Two or three nights a week he doesn't come home and stays at Becca's. Yuna will not take a headache, she will learn to accept it. At least that's what he should do if he still wants to be with Adit. Maybe it's the destiny he has to live. Yuna thought about calling Cathy.

"Cat, what are you doing?" tanyakanya.

"Let's just relax, Mom. What's up?" the answer.

"Mom, where are we meeting?" ask Cathy. Becca gives the mall a name and they will meet there.

'Alright. From now on I will enjoy my life while you are busy with your life.' Yuna began to polish her face and dress like a teenage girl.
